<Seraphna> **Kaelan steps out of her shadow** Deep thoughts?
<DeathStar> *Ren peers down at the announcement* Just thinking back to the fact I've gotten old.
<DeathStar> *Ren pockets the relic*
<Seraphna> Kaelan> You’re not old.
<DeathStar> <Ren> I'm 80.
<DeathStar> <Ren> Only reason I don't look it is my Kitsune and Dragoon blood is keeping me younger looking.

<Seraphna> Kaelan> **follows, musing** I mean, what’s 80 if you have hundreds of years?

<DeathStar> <Ren> The kitsune and dragoon blood is weaker in me than it is in my mother. I doubt I'll live as long as her. But, personally, I rather do what I can now than continue on forever.
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Well Kitsune do. You’re not an Alpha Dragoon so chances are you have long life like a guardian too.

<Jackieness> * Noire's ship is seen gliding into the hangar as they arrive, rotating to a landing position.

<DeathStar> *Ren eyes something on her datapad* .... tell her when she gets her ass out, that I'm back at the club room.

<Jackieness> <Noire> *steps down from her ship, looking the same as always, right down to the glasses and Japanese school uniform*
<Seraphna> Kaelan> How was the vacation Princess?
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmm...vacation? Oh, I haven't the words." *looks around* "Clearly something has Ren's attention. I can sense her shadow teleport right here where she left it."

<Seraphna> Kaelan> She did say to meet her there when you got your fine ass out of the ship.
<Jackieness> <Noire> "...how annoying...come on, Kaelan." *steps forward, foot landing right at the threshold of the club as if she had skipped over all the space in between*
<Seraphna> **Kaelan hops shadows into the club**
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmm...Ren..."
<DeathStar> *The club room looks to have been broken into, items they've collected taken, arcade machines broken, sulfer and other stuff all over. Ren is eyeing it all quiety as she kneels, surveying the damage*
<DeathStar> <Ren> Welcome home, Noire.
<Seraphna> Kaelan> We were only gone for like… minutes.
<DeathStar> <Ren> Yes, only a few.
<DeathStar> *she sits down in her chair, which cases it to break*
<DeathStar> *causes
<Jackieness> <Noire> *looks around* "...mmmmm..." *sniffs* "...I smell sulfur."
<DeathStar> *Ren stands up to access her computer, seeing what happened. But the logs look to be completely scrambled*
<Seraphna> **Jaime pops in with Adeline**
<Seraphna> Jaime> Who vandalized my favorite room?
<Jackieness> <Noire> "..and hello to you too."
<DeathStar> *Adeline begins to use the PAX's systems to see if they can find out something* Welcome back, Noire
<Seraphna> Jaime> Welcome back Noire.
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmm...has your life finally attained some semblance of sanity, Adeline?"
<DeathStar> <Adeline> Not at all. If anything, I am more agitated than ever. But I will deal with the source of that problem soon enough. *She notes* I might have the source of your problems, though

<Seraphna> Jaime> Then I can finally fill my wife with bliss.
<DeathStar> *Adeline brings up on screen some sort of planetoid near Earth*
<DeathStar> <Adeline> This appeared a few minutes ago
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmm...is that so..."
<DeathStar> <Adeline> The odd thing is no one seems to be reacting to it,
<DeathStar> *Adeline is skimming through the Holonet*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Well, they have certainly given us a personal reason to react to it."
<DeathStar> <Ren> So this is some sort of call out?
<Seraphna> Jaime> Is that Monster World?
<DeathStar> <Adeline> ... That world you say appears on Halloween? If so, it is many months off.
<Seraphna> Jaime> Yes, it is oddly timed.
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmm... what is Halloween on differnet planets with their own rotations and solar years anyway?"
<DeathStar> <Ren> Now we're getting down a rabbit hole
<DeathStar> <Ren> If it is this Monster World everyone gushes over, why attack Fumoffu?
<DeathStar> <Ren> Didn't that Stank guy run it
<Jackieness> <Noire> "My guess is that someone has hijacked Monster World for whatever nefarious purpose they might have."
<DeathStar> *Ren jots a note down for Charlotte* I'll get a shuttle ready
<DeathStar> <Adeline> We could use Noire's ship.

<DeathStar> *Ren's ears twitch as they board* Alright, let us adjust and get there. *Taiga hums, looking like a natural due to designing it.*

<DeathStar> *Noire's ship appears over the planetoid that is orbiting Earth. Down below, scans pick up a multitude of lifeforms, and other things that cannot be...determined. Visually, it looks like life can survive down there, in the darkness as it stays in Earth's shadow at all times*

<DeathStar> <Taiga> Air is breathable
<DeathStar> <Taiga> And as the name implies, we're going to be walking into a den of monsters
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmm.. naturally."
<DeathStar> <Adeline> How is this thing not being noticed by anyone?
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Maybe the planet requires spiritual awareness.
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Or someone wants us specifically to come."
<DeathStar> <Ren> Lets land
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Everyone's prepared, right?" *checks her weaponry, looking very angry over the loss of the club room "equipment"*
<DeathStar> <Adeline> I have a lot of salt
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Bringing us down." *does so*
<DeathStar> *Adeline holds out some on her hand for Jaime to lick*
<Seraphna> **Jaime licks**
<DeathStar> *the surface of the planet is surprisingly, besides the darkness, wooded and on the trees lanterns are hanging, glowming ominously.*
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Feels nice here.
<DeathStar> *Taiga eyes something* Something tried to power the ship down. Good thing this ship is unusual
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmm...cute. Very cute. Its fortunate we took my ship, and not a standard shuttle."
<DeathStar> <Taiga> But we can't rest; it might succeed if we stay too long.
<Seraphna> Jaime> Hopefully Cedarton is still in charge.
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Let's disembark."
<DeathStar> *Ren, Adeline, and Taiga slowly step into the woods, the lanterns seemingly providing the way forward through them*
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Best keep to the lights.
<Jackieness> <Noire> *turns and then raises some sort of ward around her ship* "...mmm...just in case."
<DeathStar> *A howl like a werewolf can be heard in the treelines* <Adeline> That sounds like the wolf fauna or werebeast on Geyze when they get rowdy
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Given the context of this planet, likely a werewolf."
<DeathStar> <Ren> A werebeast would be nicer than a werewolf. One isn't likely to turn you into one with a bite
<DeathStar> <Adeline> That's just nonsense
<Seraphna> Si> Fuuuu.
<DeathStar> <Adeline> They'd eat you
<Alicia> <CHarlotte> "You know that werewolves are a kind of werebeast, right?"
<DeathStar> *Taiga considers* So the werebeast of Geyze are like werewoles?
<Jackieness> <Noire> "The point is that in old Earth media, werewolves were what people feared."
<DeathStar> <Ren> I know that Andrea certainly doesn't fear Marcus' bites
<DeathStar> <Ren> So I say we don't
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Lets not go into what Andrea feels about Marcus."
<Jackieness> <Noire> "...speak not of that."
<Alicia> * Charlotte nods to Noire
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Hmmm.
<DeathStar> *Taiga follows the lanterns*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Lets see where this leads us
<DeathStar> *beyond the lantern lights, the group would begin to see eyes in the woods, watching them and the sound of heavy breathing from an animal*
<Seraphna> **Kaelan gives a predatory grin at the watchers as she walks**
<DeathStar> *the eyes lessen a little*
<DeathStar> *The group soon comes up on a clearing; out in the distance, it opens up and the group can see plains, buildings, and all sorts of landscapes that mark up the types of locales of Earth and other alien realms; but oddly, they're empty of these so called monsters*
<DeathStar> *dark clouds loom in the sky*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> There should be all sorts of monsters here, waiting to prey on us. *She sounds dumbfounded*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmm...clearly there are monsters in the woods."
<Seraphna> Jaime> Depends, is it school hours?
<DeathStar> *Ren glances back at the woods* That is true.
<DeathStar> <Ren> So they have to be here
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "What about our stuff?"
<DeathStar> <Ren> Well. Unless we wanted to wander aimlessly.... *She thinks*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "We will not reach the heart of the matter by standing around listlessly."
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "That's true."
<DeathStar> *Ren nods and heads toward the nearest creepy mansion*
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "With no further clues, we may as well continue."
<Seraphna> Jaime> Yes.
<DeathStar> *As the group walks along, those with exceptional hearing would hear a faint singing, coming from around them*
<DeathStar> *but the source does not appear to be out in the open to be seen*
<DeathStar> *Ren's ear twitches, pausing*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmm...Ren hears something."
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Nice tune.
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Hm. There is singng going on
<DeathStar> <Taiga> All around us
<Jackieness> <Noire> "What sort of singing?"
<DeathStar> <Ren> ... it sounds familiar. ... I've heard it before
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Is it enchanting? Or is it more scary singing?"
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "It's not magic, so I'm not too bothered."
<DeathStar> *Ren begins to look a little duller* Enchanting I think. Comforting.
<DeathStar> <Taiga> ...*begins to tear at her clothing*
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Now is not the time for that."
<DeathStar> <Taiga> No no no
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Probably Sirens. We need ear protection."
<DeathStar> *Taiga begins to stuff her ears since being a kitusne she's more at risk*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Stuff her damn ears
<Alicia> * Charlotte puts earplugs in Ren's ears
<DeathStar> *Ren blinks, confused*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Jaime, have you been practicing psionics?"
<DeathStar> *Adeline begins to cover her own ears and stuffs Kaelan's for her*
<Seraphna> **Jaime shakes her head** I gave up that template decades ago.
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Fortunately, we do have Adeline here. Adeline, link us up psionically."
<DeathStar> *Adeline mind links them* This should provide protection even to those without ear plugs. *She drowns out the singing*
<Seraphna> Jaime> Currently I have Dragoon, Spirit and Famfrit powers. On top of my Progenitor skills.
<DeathStar> <Ren> So we have bunch of Sirens hiding and singing
<DeathStar> <Ren> I hate Sirens
<Seraphna> Si> Huh? Oh that’s what that was.
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Thank you, Adeline. And Sirens are my prime suspects, yes."
<DeathStar> *As the group speaks, a sulfer smell wafts up into the air* <Taiga> I didn't think Sirens had that smell
<Jackieness> <Noire> "I expect that our host is finally going to act since we evaded the musical trap."
<Seraphna> Jaime> Brimstone shouldn’t really be outside of Hell.
<DeathStar> *As Noire says that, something invisible chomps onto something in Ren's pocket and suddenly she's jerked low to the ground as something begins to run with her. Low growls surround the others, with paw prints burning on the ground around them*
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "You know it's a common element on many planets?"
<DeathStar> <Ren> Aw fuck me!~
<Alicia> * Charlotte sends out tendrils to stab whatever's taking Ren.
<DeathStar> *A Hellhound appears briefly, turning toward Charlotte with hatred, holding onto the object in Ren's pocket*
<Jackieness> <Noire> *looks annoyed and tries to open a shadow portal right in the Ren-napping's path, with the egress right back toward them*
<DeathStar> <Adeline> I believe we are surrounded b Hellhounds
<Alicia> * Charlotte shoots it repeatedly, too. "Okay, lets kill them."
<DeathStar> *The Hellhounds leap for the group and Adeline psionically shields them*
<DeathStar> *the firey attacks making her fall to her knees*
<Seraphna> **Kaelan frowns, growing Dark One looking and wicked, eyes glowing red as she growls**
<DeathStar> *Ren breaks free and joins them*
<Seraphna> **Jaime blasts one with Hyoersave and shields Adeline with stone**
<DeathStar> *The hell hound yelps*
<Seraphna> **Kaelan starts whipping razor like tendrils at them**
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Enough!" *doens't even move as large-clawlike arms manifest from the darkness aand starts trying to grab at the hellhounds*
<DeathStar> *The Hellhounds bun being grabbed and bite at Noire, trying ot breathe fire at her*
<DeathStar> *the other Hellhounds, being cut, leap to bite onto Kaelan's arm*
<DeathStar> *A few do retreat for now*
<Seraphna> **Kaelan blasts it with moonlight**
<Jackieness> <Noire> /noi *tries using the clawed hands to pull the gabbed hellhounds apart*
<DeathStar> *Ren, Taiga, and Adeline watch, then as things calm down, Adeline drops the shield and leans on the stone one that was made*
<DeathStar> <Adeline> ...ugh
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Well that went better than expected
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "I actually feel a little better now... violence can be really cathartic."
<Seraphna> **Si muses and touches Adeline with a warm hand, healing her** New trick. Tell me if it burns.
<DeathStar> <Ren> What the actual hell. *she reaches into her pocket and pulls out the Dark One relic*
<Jackieness> <Noire> *looks at Ren* "...what have you there, Ren?"
<DeathStar> <Ren> I took it from the trophy case earlire and forgot to put it back
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Let me see." *hold sout her hand*
<DeathStar> *Ren plops it in Noire's hand*
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Here I figured you had some snacks.
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "I don't think hellhounds usually go in for theft."
<Jackieness> <Noire> *examines the relic* "...you know...this was the same foe we met at the Lost Dutchman's Mine, remember? Except this time, we didn't have to run."
<DeathStar> <Ren> Well things have changed I guess. But yeah, this was one of the last ones we got
<DeathStar> <Ren> I think Andrea kind of forgot we had it
<Seraphna> Jaime> Monster powers suffer no limits here. It’s why they like to live here.
<DeathStar> <Ren> We got it while dealing with that Soul Eater
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmm...they are collecting the relics we took previously. They missed this one, which is why they came for it."
<Jackieness> <Noire> *slips it into her uniform* "I'll hold on to it. I had considered takign it with me anyway."
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Well, lets get them back, I guess."
<DeathStar> <Adeline> So these monsters can only become stronger here?
<Seraphna> Jaime> Pretty much. Same rule applies to us.
<DeathStar> *as Jaime talks, a hand bursts out of the ground and grabs her leg*
<Alicia> * Charlotte slices at it, forming a tendril into a sword
<DeathStar> *Taiga squeals as more hands burst out and grab otno her, trying to pull her down*
<DeathStar> *The hand flops off*
<DeathStar> *zombies begin to rise up*
<Seraphna> Jaime> Not to insult but we have Dark Ones, Kitsune, A Wolf Girl… **she grumbles and widens the hole, pulling whatever is in there up with shifting rocks**
<DeathStar> <Ren> Oh, are we really going here?
<DeathStar> *Ren shifts into a stance*
<Seraphna> Jaime> And a Spirit.
<DeathStar> <Adeline> What happens if they bite you
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmm... zombies now?" *summons dark blades, sendign them at the zombies to hack off limbs*
<Seraphna> Jaime> Try not to get bitten.
<DeathStar> *The zombies fall apart, but continue to shuffle foward*
<Seraphna> **Si starts lighting them on fire**
<DeathStar> *they scream*
<Seraphna> Jaime> Oh yes we have a Firestarter too.
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "...shame we don't have anything stronger than fire."
<DeathStar> *at that moment, the ground shakes*
<DeathStar> *behind them, a zombie Ridiarum looms over*
<DeathStar> <Ren> ...
<DeathStar> <Ren> Jaime you're up
<Jackieness> <Noire> "This is going to get annoying... how does that even work? Ridarium are inorganic life forms."
<Seraphna> **Jaime blasts it with Hyperspace and Dragoon energy**
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "...ah. I'd just get in the way trying to fight right now."
<DeathStar> *the rock monster is sent flying while Taiga seems to be pondering*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> A virus? But it's rock
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Corruptd Earth?
<Seraphna> Jaime> They are somewhat organic.
<DeathStar> *a single zombie can be seen shuffling toward them, holding something in it's hand*
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Somehow, I'm starting to wonder if this is some cheap trick."
<DeathStar> <Ren> Parlor tricks?
<Jackieness> <Noire> *tries pinning the zombie down with a dakr spike*
<DeathStar> *The zombie weaves to the right*
<Seraphna> Jaime> There’s a half-Ridarium in the Atlantean fleet.
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Noire, that might be a peace offering."
<Seraphna> **Si tosses fire at the zombies again**
<DeathStar> *As the zombie gets closer, they look somewhat familiar, but it's now on fire*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "...then go see what it wants."
<DeathStar> <Ren> I think Si handled it
<Seraphna> Si> **sighs and turns out the fire**
<DeathStar> *Taiga thinks* We should probably move before another wave or attack occurs
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Unless you all have some power to trace where this is coming from
<Alicia> * Charlotte goes to check, using futuresight to prevent any possible unfortunate surprises
<Seraphna> **Kaelan muses and slaps a charm on one of the zombies and chants a tracing spell**
<DeathStar> *the burnt zombie, even harder to recognize, had a familiar gun in their hand. As for tracing the remains of the zombies, one sec*
<Seraphna> **Jaime inspects the gun**
<DeathStar> *it seems to be the same model as Warren used. Which could mean some of the zombies are familiar people the group knew, or it's all trick like Charlotte hinted at*
<DeathStar> *The tracing gives vibe to go to the north area of the planetoid*
<Seraphna> Jaime> Good thing Thena and Jen aren’t here.
<Seraphna> Kaelan> I have a trail. **she makes a moon wisp to guide the way**
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "You can't honestly think that's actually him."
<DeathStar> <Ren> Lets not dig too deeply.
<Seraphna> Jaime> No but they would probably go feral with rage.
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Yeah, we don't need more rage right now..."
<DeathStar> <Adeline> Do we have any idea who might be behind this?
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Let's move on then."
<DeathStar> *Ren leads the way, looking around*
<DeathStar> *as the team walks along, they would notice something strange. Among Jaime, Charlotte, Noire, Ren, Taiga, and Adeline, there seems to be an extra Ren right now walking among them*
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Ren, you know how I say we can never get enough of you?
<Seraphna> Kaelan> I did not mean that literally.
<DeathStar> *Both Rens turn to look at her*
<DeathStar> *Then at each other*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "...and now a doppleganger?"
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "... don't. If you stop this charade right now, I'll actually let you live. Oh, and leave without issue."
<DeathStar> <Ren> Oh fuck off. <Ren> Oh don't you try that
<DeathStar> *both Rens begin to look heated*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> ... Shoot them both? <Adeline> That makes you sound like that fake

<Alicia> * Charlotte uses her bond to determine this, still very good at that despite how enraged she currently is.
<DeathStar> *The one on the left seems to be stronger in the bond, despite the fact there being a second one nearby is somewhat interfering with the bond, as if feeding on it*
<DeathStar> <Adeline> Hm. *She seems to be thinking*
<DeathStar> *the Rens peer at the group, having been arguing with each other*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmm...one of you is an impostor."

<Alicia> <Charlotte> "I can't believe they'd be willing to give themselves up completely to me."
