<DeathStar> *X walks past Hess and Kaori's work areas, heading upstairs to where their daughter's room is located. It has a "Keep out!!!" with an angry gaming panda drawn on the sign*

<DeathStar> *X opens the door; the room is mostly disorganized with a teenagers' stuff - games, books, clothes, etc*
<DeathStar> *her desk seems to be locked*
<Alicia> * Charlotte looks through the games
<DeathStar> *a picture of Hess and Kaori with the granddaughter can be seen - pink hair like Kaori, purple eyes like Hess, and it seems a kitsune too*
<Jackieness> <Noire> *tries opening a shadowport through the top of the desk so they don't have to bother with the lock*
<DeathStar> *a lot of fighting games, some dating sim games, a good number of RPGs like Athena Super Star Adventure!*

<DeathStar> *it looks like they are discussing some sort of alien game that is being played in underground arcades spaces and the sensation it gives if you win. It appears the name of the game is extremely complicated and all her friends but her have lost to it*
<DeathStar> *Maya has a map of a few places it can be found at least*
<Seraphna> Jaime> Doesn’t that mean all her friends have amnesia? How has this not been noticed?
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Here...they are talking about it...its from offworld, it seems."
<Jackieness> <Noire> *points out the map* "...mmmmm...probaanly only minor memories at first. Thigns that might be forgotten over time anyway."
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Likely. Can't be total amnesia from the start."
<DeathStar> *Adeline steps in and brings up information that she found* I'm not finding a lot on it
<DeathStar> <Adeline> But in all references it's simply called "the game". I'm wondering if that's by purpose.
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Well... we have a map of possible udnerground arcades. We should go into the field and find out."
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "That suggests it's likely to get banned."
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Or provide a clue to its true creator."
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Are any of us actually good at games?
<DeathStar> <X> Well. I think I hear the dojo burning down without me
<DeathStar> <X> Get Maya back safely. *She ripples away, leaving them in the house alone like some criminals*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "W don't necessarily need to play... we just need to find th game machine."

<Jackieness> <Noire> *opens a shadowport to get them started to the first game location*
<DeathStar> *They arrive at what looks to be a small grocery store*
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Uhh?"
<DeathStar> <Taiga> ... *Ren eyes the sales on donuts*
<DeathStar> <Ren> .... *begins to grab bags*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Ren, we cna pick some up on the way out. Focus."

<DeathStar> <Adeline> Hm. *she looks around the small store* Since I am not seeing games, I have to assume...

<DeathStar> <Taiga> So. *she eyes the store clerk who is eyeing them*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> You think we need a password or should we just try to explore it casually?

<DeathStar> *Taiga chokes*
<DeathStar> *The clerk chews on some gum* Yeah? You look a bit old to be doing the special
<DeathStar> *Ren eyes herself and sniffles*
<DeathStar> *Adeline looks annoyed*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "....mmmm...should have let me ask. I could still ppull it off."
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "You still can."
<DeathStar> *the clerk fiddles around under the desk*
<Jackieness> <Noire> *holds up a finger*
<DeathStar> *Then holds out somtehing - it looks like something to mark their hands*

<DeathStar> *Ren hugs Charlotte* I thought I'd have to pay my donut money
<DeathStar> *the clerk marks their hands and motions at a scanner by the drinks*
<Jackieness> <Noire> *moves over to the scanner*
<DeathStar> *the scan moves the drink machine, that looks to be out of order, to the side, revealing a large arcade behind it*
<DeathStar> <Adeline> Hm. *she steps in and eyes all the machines and kids hanging out* All this to avoid adults?
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Unlikely."
<Jackieness> <Noire> *looks around* "...totally not suspicious at all."
<DeathStar> *Ren looks around with Taiga* <Taiga> It all seems like normal machines so far
<Alicia> * Charlotte looks around too
<DeathStar> *there seem to be private areas for people to rent; a few kids are standing around one of them*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "That one over there."
<Alicia> * Charlotte looks over
<DeathStar> <Ren> Not sus at all
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmm...I'll go take a look." *heads that way*
<DeathStar> *Taiga works her way over and eyes the kids trying to peek into the room*

<DeathStar> *she looks at Noire* Idea?
<Jackieness> <Noire> "....mmmm...I'll get us a closer look." *holds up a finger and conjures a small dark sphere, then sends it in to the room, staying low to the floor*
<DeathStar> *The sphere begins to static a bit, seeing what looks to be Maya and another player sitting at a table. They don't seem to be doing anything other than wearing a head set that connects to each each other*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmm...got Maya."
<DeathStar> *a figure in the shadows leans toward the sphere, an alien race Noire has never seen and it winks out*
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Got the name?"
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmm...a creature was there and dispelled my orb before I could learn more."
<DeathStar> *there's a shuffling as Maya and the other kid exit; the other kid looking dazed*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "...and we do have a victim."
<DeathStar> *Maya stretches and seems to look like a cockier Kaori, moving to get some drinks*
<DeathStar> <Ren> I definitely do not want to play. *she mumbles* <Taiga> I'm curious how much damage this game does
<DeathStar> <Adeline> We could send Kaelan in

<Jackieness> <Noire> "We need to investigate before more players take over the room."
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "From outside?"
<DeathStar> *it looks like the kids are arguing who gets to go next, wanting to get in before Maya comes back*

<Jackieness> <Noire> *heads to the game room*

<DeathStar> *They kids eye each other, then at Noire, then Kaelan* She's who?

<DeathStar> <Maya> I'll take them on. All of them. Come on into the room. *she strides into the room, motioning Noire and the others to come on in*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmm..." *tries pushing right past them*

<DeathStar> *inside it's dimly lit outside the table where there's head sets, indicating teams can face each other*
<DeathStar> *Maya sits on the right side, setting her drink down*
<Jackieness> <Noire> *looks around the room for the alien creature*
<DeathStar> *it seems to be in the shadows; it looks to be grayish like something out of old timey alien movies or games, but is wearing something over it's body to hide most of it - it looks to be a "game outfit" to fit in*
<DeathStar> *Taiga sits and studies the head set, as does Ren. Adeline opts to stay outside*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmmm..."
<DeathStar> <Maya> You all going to play or what?
<DeathStar> <Maya> Mothers said you were heroes
<DeathStar> *she spins the helmet in her hands* <Taiga> What are the rules?
<Jackieness> <Noire> *whispers* "...Taiga...got it in my sights..."
<DeathStar> *Taiga glances at the direction, then nods* <Maya> You hear the rules once you put these on from the game master who makes sure no cheating occurs
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "What's this called, anyway?"
<DeathStar> <Maya> Ah. The game's name? The game master can tell you. *she puts the helmet on* It's way too long to say. Cerebrum exhaurire or something like it.
<DeathStar> *Ren shrugs and puts her's on. Taiga seems to still be debating, playing with her's in her hands*
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "They really called it that?" *shrugs, then puts hers on*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "...mmmm...sounds like Latin... brain...drain, I think..."
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Tch
<DeathStar> *she puts her's on now*
<DeathStar> *Those with the helmets on begin to hear a count down in Basic*
<DeathStar> *those who aren't wearing it, it would seem nothing has happened - just that those with it look to be in a trance*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmm..." *moves to where she cna keep an eye on the alien without it beign obvious that she is watching it*
<DeathStar> *an alien like voice begins to speak* <Voice> Welcome. You are playing a game where stakes are a piece of yourselves. The winner will gain that essence from the victor. Your playground will be built your own minds; as one team has more players, their side of the world will incorporate pieces of each of their own players*
<DeathStar> *the world begins to form, using pieces of Charlotte's most cherished places, then the Fumoffu club begins to form as part of the map, then for Ren the bar, Maya's mind map has a large area of X's downtown area of Earth form in*
<DeathStar> <Voice> To win, you must use your minds to develop tools to tag the other person 3 times. As there is a 3 to 1 disadvantage, the player Maya will be given a larger health pool. - it seems Charlotte, Taiga, and Ren each have 3 health points in the game*
<DeathStar> <Ren> What do you think it means to use our mind to develop our own tools?
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Well, I'm guessing it means creating mental constructs."
<DeathStar> *Noire would find herself, being in the game room without a helmet, feeling light headed*
<DeathStar> *Taiga focuses and contructs a shield and a gun* It seems Charlotte is correct
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmm...?" *narrows her eyes*
<Seraphna> Kaelan> **muses and forms a katana** Our powers likely mean nothing here.
<DeathStar> *a large rocket fires from behind the bar*
<DeathStar> *right at the group, aiming to hit all of them*
<DeathStar> <Ren> What kind of construct is that!
<Seraphna> **Kaelan forms a Kunai and tosses it at the rocket before leaping for cover**
<DeathStar> *it explodes and Ren rolls comically*
<Alicia> * Charlotte prepares something, moving into cover, while noting the direction of the rocket.
<DeathStar> *a figure moves from the bar heading toward the Fumoffu room*
<DeathStar> *leaving behind something on the floor*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Just note Maya will have way more health thanks to all of us going after her
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Oh hell no!" *creates a wall to block off the room*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> So if any of us takes 2 hits they should back off
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Mmm, so hit her a lot, don’t get hit.
<DeathStar> *the figure stops, then climbs up into the bar ceiling*
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Urgh..."
<DeathStar> *Ren forms a dragoon bustah weapon like Zephyr has and aims at the ceiling area, then tries to fire it, but it keeps not firing*
<DeathStar> <Ren> Come on. Fire. <Taiga> It's probably because you don't believe you can
<Seraphna> Kaelan> You’ll need to charge a big cannon.
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "... ..."
<DeathStar> *Maya circles back and heads into Fox's spaceport*
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Try to hit her when she's moving between them..."
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Hmm, Taiga, can you feel your bond at all here?
<DeathStar> <Taiga> We do have an advantage - she has to hit us to win, but we also have to hit her to win
<DeathStar> <Taiga> It's a matter of do we wait here or do we follow
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Hm. Yes, it's faint
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Maybe you can coordinate with Si to give us some kinda advantage.
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Si put on the helmet?
<Seraphna> Kaelan> She did?
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Well, I could use drones to find her."
<DeathStar> *as Charlotte says that a loud noise is heard*
<DeathStar> *like a ship*
<DeathStar> <Ren> What the hell is that?
<Seraphna> Kaelan> I think she got a shuttle.
<DeathStar> *a ship begins to approach the bar from the Red Zone*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> That isn't going to fit
<Alicia> * Charlotte presses buttons on her device, making the sky glow
<Seraphna> **Kaelan grumbles and starts moving to stealth away since they’re grouped up**
<DeathStar> *the shuttle begins to open fire into the bar as it gets closer*
<Alicia> * And a giant beam of light comes down from the sky to hit the shuttle
<DeathStar> *the shuttle explodes*
<DeathStar> *the wreckage tumbling toward them*
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "...ah." *runs*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Kaelan, get us to another area!!!
<DeathStar> *Ren is already running too*
<Seraphna> **Kaelan frowns and tries to foxhole them**
<DeathStar> *the group appears in Kaelan's mind sector - a large bed room with a mud pit*
<Seraphna> **Kaelan peers around** …I’ve been spending too much time with Jaime if that’s mud.
<DeathStar> *Taiga lays on the bed, then looks out the window. It seems to be connected to the club room*
<DeathStar> <Ren> I wonder how well we did
<DeathStar> *Taiga looks outside and sees Maya looking around the club room, holding a strange weapon. She looks annoyed, checking her health*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> I say Charlotte's move did some damage
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Orbital laser strikes aren't just for show."
<Seraphna> **Kaelan forms a sniper rifle**
<DeathStar> *Suddenly, Maya aims at the wall and it fires through the wall, striking Taiga, then she shoots and hits Ren, then aims at Kaelan and fires*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> She's got some weapon that can go right through walls. Look out
<Seraphna> **Kaelan rolls to one side and leaps to the mud pit**
<DeathStar> *Maya aims where Charlotte is at and fires wildly*
<Alicia> * Charlotte tries to drop out of sight to evade the shots
<Seraphna> Kaelan> If that’s how this is played… **she focuses and starts a construct, sending a swarm of dark foxes out after Maya** Clan Jutsu!
