<DeathStar> *Taiga and Ren have the large van set up; Taiga seems to be in the back of the van and is putting the finishing touches on something*

<DeathStar> *it looks like Taiga has installed a small teleporter into the back*
<DeathStar> *Ren is busy putting things into the van and making sure there's at least one arcade game for people like Kaori*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "I do lament that it isn't quite the same van as before."
<DeathStar> <Andrea> Fond memories? *She asks as she looks it over*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmmm...of a sort."
<DeathStar> *Revi and Fate move and find places to sit inside the van*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Though I suppose the van in its original configuration could not hold everyone who is coming."
<DeathStar> <Ren> Hopefully we'll pick up more people as we travel. <Taiga> That is where your teleporter will come into play - people can come and go as they please. I glanced over the Fumoffu roster of the years. We've had a lot of members over the years.
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Even if it was just for a club session or two
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmm...indeed. Though there are also those of us whoa re core members."
<DeathStar> <Andrea> Do you plan to keep some food stocked on the van or do you plan to stop every few miles to keep Ren fed?
<DeathStar> *Ren finishes placing a few things up front like a map, choosing to ignore*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmmm...I am ucnertain how Ren planned for that one. I allowed her to make all the preparations. That being said, I am a practiced cook."
<DeathStar> <X> Well there is a kitchen here. <Revi> There is food and materials to make food in the fridge I believe. Are we designating you the chef?
<DeathStar> <Ren> Alright I think this is everyone. The rest can catch up through the teleporter code that mom has sent out
<DeathStar> *she reaches out to close the van door*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmmm..I'll do the cooking then."
<DeathStar> *Ren slowly begins to drive away from the manor and toward the main road*
<DeathStar> <Andrea> With how much you cook, I am surprised you never decided to retire and become a professional chef.
<Jackieness> <Noire> "I find the idea of turning my hobbies into 'work' distasteful."
<DeathStar> *Andrea seems amused at that*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmmm?"
<Alicia> * Astra muses in the background
<DeathStar> <Andrea> Some would say do what you love; sort of what like my hobby is bringing annoyance and destruction upon my enemies, even if it is work sometimes
<DeathStar> *Revi sits by Astra and hands her what looks to be a box* Here.
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Once you start taking money for it, it becomes far easier to fall out of love."
<Alicia> * Astra looks in the box
<DeathStar> *the box seems large enough to contain something; it feels somewhat heavy*
<DeathStar> <Fate> You could always cook for free. Perhaps cook at a shelter for the poor
<DeathStar> <Fate> Though I suppose some would look at feeding Ren as a full time job
<DeathStar> *Ren glares from the front*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "...indeed."
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "She does not eat *that* much."

<DeathStar> <Revi> It is note a mask, but inside the box is a ring that will help mask your presence. Xevil said it is not as strong but it should suit your needs
<Alicia> * Astra takes it. "Thank you."

<DeathStar> <Ren> I wanted to state this up front
<DeathStar> <Ren> I'm NOT taking us to a bunch of haunted locations - well maybe some
<DeathStar> <Ren> But I wanted us to mainly visit a lot of places around the world together and make some memories just seeing what the galaxy has to offer - some of which MAY be haunted, but most will mainly just be seeing nature
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "I'd be surprised if none of them were, to be honest."
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmmm...I suppose this isn't one of the old outtings anyway."
<DeathStar> <X> I mean, this is Ren. I won't be shocked if we do not land into trouble in each and every stop somehow
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "Just... let us not awaken any ancient evils this time around..."

<DeathStar> Location: New York City
<DeathStar> *Ren pulls up into the massive city - the city now having grown even larger than it is in present day. A rather mundune location to stop for Ren of all places, since in the future it would not really be considered a "tourist" stop*
<DeathStar> *Taiga looks up from her book, tilting head* <Taiga> You are not going to suggest we go see the statue or something. We could have shuttled here if we wanted to do that
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmm...Ren must have some goal in mind beyond the mundane."
<DeathStar> <Ren> It's a pit stop --- but one I picked for food!
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "Is the food here good enough to warrant coming here specifically?"
<DeathStar> <Ren> I've heard their pizza is really good. But if Noire thinks she can replicate it we can move on
<DeathStar> <Revi> We detoured into this large city for a ... pizza?
<Jackieness> <Noire> "I am willing to entertain Ren's culinary experience."
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "Apparently. It must be a good pizza."
<DeathStar> *Ren pulls Jikuu close* Come come! We have to give it a try. *she waves Charlotte to follow*
<DeathStar> *she hops out of the van and onto the streets, using her datapad to track down the nearest pizza place*
<DeathStar> <X> So we came here not to check out their museums or the Statue, or anything else the city has to offer, but their food. That is Ren
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "It is not uncommon to visit places for experiences."
<DeathStar> *Revi nods slowly; getting stares for wearing her mask in public*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Pick a good place, not just the most convenient."
<Alicia> * Astra bends into the background again
<DeathStar> *Ren nods and soon locates a place called Tony's Pizza, sliding in and ordering them all slices of people to take to their table* <Ren> So. My plan is to keep heading north-east toward Canada for now. Then we'll swing back down to the south.
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "Why there?"
<DeathStar> <Ren> *She taps of this entire block of area for EarthGov* This entire area is rich in places to visit. I figure we'll hit everything in the US/Canada/Mexico Block, then head down to the South American Block after that and if we still feel up to it move on to the other blocks of the world.
<DeathStar> <Ren> And once we're done, we'll go up into space
<DeathStar> <Andrea> It almost sounds like you plan to have this vacation last as long as you can make it
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "Why not?"
<DeathStar> <Ren> Exactly
<Jackieness> <Noire> "It is a grand tour, mother."
<DeathStar> <Andrea> I stand corrected then. *half-smile* I'll be curious who all you will run into, then, during this Grand Tour. If it plans to go everywhere
<DeathStar> *Ren finishes her pizza and nods* I enjoyed it a lot - it was different.
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmmm..."
<DeathStar> <Ren> So before we hit the road was there anything anyone wanted to do here?
<Jackieness> <Noire> *glances at the others*
<DeathStar> <Andrea> I'd like to climb that building the giant lizard did in that one movie
<DeathStar> <X> I think it was a monkey
<Jackieness> <Noire> "...there are elevators in the lobby, mother."
<DeathStar> <Andrea> But that would take away the act of climbing the outside
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "Feel free I guess. It is no stranger than Yoiyami's interest in breaking security systems."
<DeathStar> <Andrea> Then I will be right back.
<DeathStar> *she vanishes*
<Jackieness> <Noire> *sighs*
<DeathStar> <Ren> If there is no one else I'll lead us back to our van. Andrea will likely be there waiting
<DeathStar> <X> There is one place I wouldn't mind visiting, if it still existed.
<Jackieness> <Noire> "mmmmmm?"
<DeathStar> <X> That movie with the funny robot. He went to a store with a billion books. I think it was in New York. But I hear it closed down hundreds of years ago. It was an old movie. Funny movie still
<DeathStar> *Taiga seems mostly shocked that X would watch that stuff*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "...nani?"
<DeathStar> <X> Robot came to life, went to a book store and rampaged
<DeathStar> *Ren shrugs at Noire*
<DeathStar> *as they return to the van, their meter is about to expire and a meter maid is leaning over about to give them a ticket, looking eager to do so*
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "What caused the robot to rampage anyway?"
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmmm...look."
<DeathStar> <X> If I recall he got arrested and was allowed to take 2 books with him.
<DeathStar> <X> I saw it as a child
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Ren, meter maid ahead."
<DeathStar> *Ren jerks and rushes ahead, almost tripping*
<DeathStar> <Ren> Nyoooo
<DeathStar> *Ren quickly gets into the van and starts preparing to back out* I'm leaving I'm leaving
<DeathStar> <Taiga> That's my Ren. *She gets into the van*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "...indeed." *climbs in as well*
<DeathStar> *Revi slides into the van with Fate and X. Andrea poofs out of nowhere into her seat, arms crossed*
<DeathStar> *Ren soon has them pulled out of New York City and back on the road; however, she seems distracted, peering into the mirror a lot*
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "Is something wrong?"
<DeathStar> <Ren> We've been being followed since before we entered New York; a black van was following us, turned off into the city with us, and is now back on the road following us once again.
<DeathStar> <Ren> I was curious if they would get off when we did and seeing as they did, it has made wonder who they are
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmm...mother, do you have a secret service detail that you forgot to mention?"
<DeathStar> <Andrea> I do not.
<DeathStar> *she glances behind them* <Andrea> Seeing as they are not doing that much to hide themselves, they must not care if they see them
<DeathStar> <Revi> Are they .... kidnappers?
<Jackieness> <Noire> "...I don't see an army, which is what they would need to even attempt to try to kidnap us."
<DeathStar> <Fate> It would be difficult to take us, yes
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Should we just ignore them for now then?
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "Hopefully it will not progress to the point that force is required."
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "...I will use it if I have to, though."
<DeathStar> *Fate nods to Jikuu - clearly ready to back her up if needed*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Get us to the next stopover, and we can see to this then."
<DeathStar> *Ren nods and keeps driving; they soon approach the next location - Boston, arriving that evening as Ren pulls into the city. Taiga glances up, spying it and makes a noise as Ren heads and parks them near a pub/inn*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmmm?"
<DeathStar> <Ren> I thought we could check out the city tomorrow if we wanted - but I also heard they had good drink and food here. *the black van following them passes on by, driving further down the street and turning the corner*
<DeathStar> <X> It doesn't hurt that there are hauntings in Boston I've heard
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmm...do they think they are being clever?"
<DeathStar> <Andrea> How do you want to approach this?
<Jackieness> <Noire> "First off, we need to act casually and go about our day as if their efforts were not so sloppy."
<DeathStar> <Ren> Then let us get some food and drink. *She steps into the pub where it is full of people; Ren gets them a table while the waitress is running around*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> You think they will be ballsy enough to come inside? I'll keep an eye out for them.
<Jackieness> <Noire> *glances at the window to see if the black van rolls by*
<DeathStar> *Andrea does the same as Noire. X seems to be surveying any new person who comes inside*
<DeathStar> *Revi squirms in her seat, not liking how crowded the place seems to be*
<DeathStar> *Ren waves down the waitress and gets the menus. She ends up ordering chicken and some ale while Revi just orders some soup, X keeping it simple as well, and Fate seeming to just order water*
<Jackieness> <Noire> *checks her mobile and then orders Lobster Rolls*
<DeathStar> *the waitress hurries to get their food going*
<DeathStar> <Ren> So. What are we thinking here
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "Lay low, I guess?"
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Normally I'd think something mudane - a van full of pretty girls, but I've learned never to think that
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmmm?"
<DeathStar> *those who are apt in the dark arts/mystical arts would feel a supernatural ping off to the north. Ren's head lifts as does Andrea. Fate seems to be hmmming and Revi looks unsure of herself*
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "Please tell us what you are thinking."
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmmmm? Something just became active."
<DeathStar> <Fate> I believe Noire is right - something felt like it shifted
<DeathStar> <Revi> Is that...what I felt?
<DeathStar> <Andrea> The question is what was it
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "... did you know this would happen?"
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Let's eat... then some of us can go look."
<DeathStar> <Fate> I just knew we would encounter some stuff on our trip - it is the Fumoffu M.O to defeat ghosts after all. I would not worry too much
<DeathStar> *their food and drinks are set down at the table and Ren begins to eat her food happily*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmm..." *eats*
<DeathStar> <Ren> If there is something stirring, you can stay at the inn. I've reserved some non-haunted inns here
<DeathStar> *she hands Jikuu the address*
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "Thanks..."
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Just watch out for the blakc van men."
<DeathStar> *Taiga leans forward, eating in thought* If Jikuu does decide to go to the inn, I will accompany her
<DeathStar> *Ren finishes her food and pays everyone's tab* I'll be outside.
<Jackieness> <Noire> "I am surprised you simply ordered chicken, Ren."
<DeathStar> <Ren> Chicken gives me a good boost of energy!
<DeathStar> *Ren twirls outside*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmmm...I chose a local delicacy."
<DeathStar> <Revi> Was it good?
<DeathStar> *she eyes it*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmm...it was satisfying."
<DeathStar> *Revi nods slowly, then heads out to the van; it looks like Ren has set up the equipment to scan the area for the supernatural*
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "I will be fine as long as this is just a regular ghost, and if it is something bigger than that, I doubt I will be able to avoid it by holing up in a hotel room."
<DeathStar> <Fate> Then *she takes Jikuu's hand* Let us see what this is then
<DeathStar> *Ren studies the sensors* <Ren> I am not sure what to think of this. *She looks at Noire and Charlotte* This might be more up your alley...
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmm... a moment then." *raises her hands and tries using her sorcery to sense it out*
<DeathStar> *there seems to be something nearby that is drawing the supernatural to it - and is growing in power by the moment, thus drawing more supernatural to it, thus growing more powerful, thus drawing more powerful supernatural to it, thus...*
<DeathStar> <Ren> I have the location at least
<Jackieness> <Noire> "...something is trying to power up by forming a supernatural focus."
<DeathStar> *Taiga sits down and begins to drive them this time Ren gets ready. They are taken to an old theater that is having a play at this very moment; it looks like those inside have yet to notive anything unusual*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> With the range on whatever is inside the theater growing, it will begin to call larger and larger targets to the theater from all over the city
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Then lets get to it before it reaches critical mass."
<DeathStar> <X> Do we have an idea what this object is?
<DeathStar> <Taiga> I'd say you'll have to feel it out
<Alicia> * Charlotte feels around for the thing
<DeathStar> *the group, however - will face an even greater hurdle to get inside - they'll have to pay the theater credits for a play that is already in progress to get inside to save it*
<DeathStar> *Charlotte gets surpreme luck and would feel that it is somewhere on the lower level - either the first floor or the basement level, or perhaps even lower that*
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Somewhere in the basement, probably."
<DeathStar> *Ren pays for tickets for all of them at the front door in order to get inside; it seems to be a three story theater, with seats being on the first, second and third floor, though only VIPS are allowed up top. The play being performed right now is PHantom of the Opera, and it looks like they are half-way through the play as they enter the lobby which is empty of people right now*
<DeathStar> *well, except ghosts of performers who died long ago as well as ghosts of people of stage hands and people who have come back to watch it again*
<DeathStar> *oddly there are even ghosts of wars long ago standing about with ancient weapons stepping in*
<Alicia> <Astra> "Is this normal?"
<DeathStar> <Ren> I would say no
<Jackieness> <Noire> "...they are performing Phantom of the Opera...and the problem is under the theater? MMmmmm...fitting."
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Ironic."
<DeathStar> *Ren motions at a soldier lifting their musket rifle at them* <Ren> I do not think those ghosts fit the setting though
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Obviously not. Let us make haste then."
<DeathStar> <Andrea> So we just need to breka into the basement
<Alicia> * Charlotte waves her ticket, and heads further in
<DeathStar> *there are signs indicating areas that belong to the employees only likely one of these doors/paths will lead to the basement area*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "....mmmmm..." *grabs a hold of her skirt and then pulls, insta-changing into her shrine maiden attire*
<Seraphna> **Kaelan peeks out of Ren’s tail, a theater sneak**
<DeathStar> <X> I Was never never to the theater that much
<DeathStar> <X> So why is our target being in the basement irony?
<DeathStar> <Revi> Because the phantom lives down there?
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Let us go and see." *looks fow a way downstairs*
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Yeah, basically."
<DeathStar> *after messing around, the group would find that the employees areas does seem to lead into an area with lots of props and other things. They seem to be in an area that is slowly leading toward the stage area*
<DeathStar> *thankfully no one has noticed them yet*
<DeathStar> *judging by the signs, it looks like the stairs downward is near the stage area itself*
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Any signs marked “Phantom’s room”?
<Jackieness> <Noire> "This is not the Paris opera house."
<DeathStar> <Revi> You had me worried we might battle a Phantom ghost
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "That would be beyond ironic to making me think it was planned."
<DeathStar> *as they begin to descend the stairs below where they would find a ton of props, they would find the area cleared of workers - and nothing but ghost hands now. It looks like the ghosts have scared off the crew down here*
<DeathStar> *they seem to be below the stage now*
<DeathStar> *with various passages leading all over the place*
<DeathStar> *infact, the sound of a ghost horse can be heard riding down one of them now*
<Alicia> <jikuu> "Why is a horse down here?"
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmm...ancient battles."
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Could just be coconuts.
<DeathStar> <Andrea> IT appears this place is drawing every ghost in the city
<Alicia> <Astra> "Oh. This place used to be the surface?"
<DeathStar> <Andrea> I imagine it iwll soon be drawing dangerous wraiths soon too
<Jackieness> <Noire> "If here aren't already some lower down."
<DeathStar> *she looks around the junky prop room - their item is definitely around in here somewhere among the props*
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "How long have there been dangerous wraiths around?"
<DeathStar> *s they talk, a dark shadowy ghost begins to take form; it seems to be a mix of the anger and misery of the battles and death over hundreds of years*
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Hey Mistress, look, ghost.
<DeathStar> <Andrea> Oh, usually you don't notice them - sometimes you feel the darkness
<DeathStar> <Andrea> Sometimes you consume it without even noticing it
<Seraphna> Kaelan> …Wait can we eat ghosts?
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "Umm?"
<DeathStar> <Andrea> It's a bit harder when they are manifesting like this, dear
<Alicia> <Astra> "Do we need special equipment for that?"
<DeathStar> <Andrea> Salt. Salt works
<DeathStar> <Andrea> Prayers work
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Pink Hillmilayan, Iodized or Sea?
<Seraphna> **Kaelan pulls out salt pouches**
<Alicia> <Astra> "Aunt Yoi is the gourmet..."
<DeathStar> *Andrea looks at Kaelan*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "White salt is preferred. It represents purity."
<DeathStar> *Ren pulls out packs of salt she got from dinner and throws it*
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Pretzel salt? I got that too.
<DeathStar> *the wraith makes noises and retreats to a corner*
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Now that it’s salted is it tastier?
<Alicia> <Astra> "Wasn't that the whole reason?"
<Jackieness> <Noire> *steps forward and starts m,aking the hand gestures to exorcise the evil spirit*
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Are you dismissing our tasty ghost?
<DeathStar> <Revi> You plan to try to eat the ghost still?
<Jackieness> <Noire> "...let me concentrate..."
<DeathStar> *The spirit strains and makes noises as Noire does that, clearly wanting to manifest, then slowly poofs*
<Seraphna> Kaelan> I never got to eat a ghost before. Eat out a goddess, a spirit, and a Spectre, but not a ghost.
<DeathStar> <Andrea> I would now locate the object that is calling them before more wraiths appear. We already are crowded with ghosts
<DeathStar> *she motions at the normal ghosts in the room* Eat one if you wish
<Seraphna> **Kaelan salts one and tries to eat it**
<DeathStar> <Ren> Wait wait.... *she eyes Kaelan consuming the ghost of a soldier*
<DeathStar> <Ren> Did you just seriously eat it?
<Alicia> * Jikuu looks for the object, ignoring the shenanigans
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Tastes like warfare?
<DeathStar> *Jikuu would locate a strange object among the phantom of the opera props - this one looks to be a odd straw doll*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "You realize that many of these ghosts are likely victims..."
<Seraphna> Kaelan> And I am deliciously putting them out of their misery.
<DeathStar> <Ren> I have so many questions.... how does a ghost taste. Where does the ghost go after being eaten. Did she become stronger consuming it? Is she part ghost now?
<Alicia> * Jikuu brings the doll to the group
<DeathStar> *Taiga examines the doll and Ren/Andrea both lean forward* <Ren> That thing is creepy
<DeathStar> <Andrea> We need to destroy that
<Seraphna> Kaelan> They’re like soul reflections so a little stronger. This one tastes a bit like grapes.
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmm...cursed doll. It would help if we knew where it came from." *gestures* "Place it on the floor and then put a salt circle around it."
<Alicia> * Jikuu does so, Charlotte helping with the salt circle.
<Jackieness> <Noire> *holds her hands up and attempts to exorcise whatever is boudn to the doll*
<DeathStar> *the doll slowly begins to unravel; then it breaks part. Inside appears to be a strange red gem*
<Seraphna> Kaelan> **leans on Ren** Mmm, that last one was spicy.
<DeathStar> <Ren> ... *eyes Kaelan, raising eyebrow* I can't believe you tried that
<DeathStar> <Ren> Even Charlotte wouldn't have tried to eat a ghost and she's eaten a whole planet before
<Jackieness> <Noire> "....mmmm..." *tries to sense the nature of the gem*
<Seraphna> Kaelan> How so we know the planet didn’t have ghosts on it?
<DeathStar> *Ren opens and closes her mouth*
<DeathStar> *the gem seems to be spiritual object that can attract the supernatural. The doll was made to harness that power*
<DeathStar> <Andrea> It should be okay as long as we put the gem inside something protective. Do we have anything?
<Jackieness> <Noire> *picks up the gem* "Mmmmm..."
<DeathStar> *At that moment!!! The Phantom leaps down with them, cape swirling. Revi lets out a startled noise*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmmmm?"
<DeathStar> *the phantom stares at all of them* <Phantom> ... Who are you people?
<DeathStar> *He looks around; the ghosts now gone but the stage hands are still MIA*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "We are supernatural investigators. You had a haunting."
<Seraphna> Kaelan> And now ghost gourmands.
<DeathStar> <Phantom> My lady, Christine. *he takes Noire's hand* You are quite beautiful, but I am afraid I must ask that you and your hand maidens here should return to your room. *he speaks, motioning back to the stairs, then turns and prepares to return back to th stage*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmm...right. Everyone, let's clear out."
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Sure thing Christine.
<DeathStar> <Revi> But I thought her name was..
<DeathStar> *she heads for the exit, confused*

<DeathStar> *the countryside here looks to be beautiful all around* <Taiga> This is out stop for now. Ren has the falls as a possible stop, but for this area of the NE, she picked this park to be a relaxation point to enjoy.

<DeathStar> <Ren> That sounds great. We can eat some before enjoying the park
<DeathStar> *The tail seems to go ahead and find somewhere else to park in the park*
<DeathStar> *the air is chilly here due to the time of year as Revi pulls her mask up to eat Noire's lunch and step outside the van. Ren and Taiga also step outside to look around them*
