<DeathStar> *the team has traveled north of the city to meet up with who may or may not be Paladin at a location called Saint Joseph's Oratory. As they arrive, despite the Pope being there, it is not overly crowded as if they are keeping crowds away at the time - infact there is not a whole lot of people at the church in general*
<DeathStar> *Revi looks around, holding a map of the area, while Ren stretches, her right ear twitching; Taiga seems to be fiddling with something in her hand while Cheryl walks up the steps*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmm...and how are we supposed to get in?"
<DeathStar> <Cheryl> Lets just walk right on in.
<DeathStar> <Cheryl> I find that helps often in my line of work
<DeathStar> <Cheryl> If there is any trouble, we can blame Andrea. *she lifts her up by the hem of her lolita dress.* She is the rogue President after all.

<Jackieness> <Noire> "Though mother would typically wish to not enter such a place in order to maintain her reputation. You will need to try to do better than that, Cheryl."

<DeathStar> <Andrea> Why ARE we bringing me here? *she makes a face as the door opens and Cheryl begins to carry her in* I am not your Chii, to be carried around just because I'm in my smaller form. *she actually hisses a bit as she crosses the threshhold*
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Though that doesn’t stop her from appearing in Shinto Onsens dedicated to Fox Goddesses.

<DeathStar> *The church seems to be mostly empty outside a few worshipers and a priest up front; the place looks very old, probably one of the older churches here. Chii cranes her head upward to look around*
<Seraphna> Angela> Few buildings like this exist now that weren’t rebuilt and just made to look old.

I will wait outside I think. *as she heads for the door, perhaps due to a trick of the light coming from the stained glass windows, it almost appears she looks see-throughish for a moment as she steps back out*

<Seraphna> Angela> I always found it odd that Christian sites repel demons anyway, not all them are evil ajd according to scripture their god uses them too.

<DeathStar> *she turns to look as the Priest shows up* <Priest> Please, follow me. The Pope will see you all. *He leads them through a secret passage*

<DeathStar> *the passage opens up to a secret room where they would meet with "young" black man - young in terms that it could not be Paladin, since he would be ancient by now and this man looks to be in his 50's. The man sits in his chair, greeting them and Cheryl crosses his arms, studying him - the man looks a lot like Paladin in many ways, but there are features that has him stand apart*
<DeathStar> <Pope> Welcome. It is an honor to be visited by so many esteemed guests. Please have a seat. Your visit must be a sign from God. *He gestures for the Priest to leave them be for a moment, allowing the team to take a seat*

<DeathStar> <Paladin> It is a relic - a powerful Cross. *he shows them a picture of a wooden cross* It was stolen from the Church and we fear it's power might be misused. We do not know if it remains in the Canadian State, or has been transferred elsewhere or even off world. For a group who runs into ... unusual problems and is traveling around, my hope is that you might can come across a lead for us

<DeathStar> *The van pulls up at the location. Cheryl snores in the back while Taiga and the Tsivrixsh scientist do research.*

<DeathStar> *Chii picks up Angela and carries her as if to throw her over*

<DeathStar> *Andrea looks out from the hottub, then gets out, stretching naked and forms clothes around herself, floating down to the ground*
<DeathStar> *Chii tries to enact the Superman III scene*
<Jackieness> <Noire> *steps out and looks around* "Mmmmmmm..."
<DeathStar> *Ren looks over the waterfall* This is pretty cool
<DeathStar> *Revi begins to paint it*
<DeathStar> <Ren> We should get a giant waterfall back at the Suisen

<DeathStar> *Ren drives them along, snow coming down as they begin to enter an area with tons of Vineyards and winemarkers all over the area. Ren seems to be squinting at her map as she pulls them into a place*

<Jackieness> <Noire> "And we are here....why?"
<DeathStar> *she motions at the lands around them* It's prettier I'm told in the spring and summer, but also to get some of their drinks. It's suppose to be good. After this we're heading for the Yukon
<Seraphna> Jaime> That word makes me think of a giant furry creature.

<Jackieness> <Noire> "And no, the foot pressing is only fopr the tourists. Machine presses are far more anitary and efficient."

<DeathStar> *Ren sighs* Fine fine. *she hops to the counter* Does anyone want any or should I just order a handful?

<DeathStar> *Ren nods and begins to check it out, soon signing the group up for tasting the wine*

<Seraphna> Jaime> Sounds wasteful and unhygienic.

<Jackieness> <Noire> "We're here as tourists, not to taste professionally."
<Seraphna> Jaime> Adeline will enjoy the wine drinking too.

<DeathStar> *Revi moves to the van and soon returns with Adeline, who is wearing a lab coat*

<Seraphna> Jaime> Mmm, lab coat Adeline~
<DeathStar> <Adeline> Well, I have been working on cure solutions
<DeathStar> *The group is set up at a table where they are given some of the winery's best wines to taste; Athena takes notes while sipping her's, while Ren nods as if she can completely tell that much of a difference, clearly not that much of a wine drinker; Adeline seems sip and take her time, savoring the taste and recognizing the flavor of each one; Revi looks a little flush after a while as if she were some lightweight from sips*

<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmm...Revi appears to have a low tolerance."

<DeathStar> *Athena leans in, looking as if nothing has gotten to her* Tell Noire a secret. The Zhenmei side are weaklings

<DeathStar> *Ren studies the various wines, then nods* Yeah, I think I like this one. *Adeline points at a more refined one* <Adeline> I'll take a bottle of this one
<DeathStar> *Athena meanwhile has just taken a bunch of notes for making the ultimate Athena wine*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmm...you should pick the wine for the occassion. Some work well with fish, others with red emat. Some are dessert wines."

<DeathStar> <Ren> I didn't know it was that complicated
<DeathStar> *Ren looks over the list now, looking like she can't decide*
<Seraphna> Angela> To list it’s all the same slush.
<DeathStar> *Adeline hums, picking up her wine*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "I learned these things when I was studying cookery."
<DeathStar> *Ren nods and looks serious, picking a wine that goes well with Noire's cooking* Hah!
<Seraphna> Jaime> I trust Adeline’s superior taste.
<DeathStar> *Ren looks proud of herself, ears wiggling and tails swishing*
<DeathStar> <Adeline> Thank you. *She rubs Jaime's back*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmmm...take your picks then, and I shall cook soemthign to pair with those picks."
<DeathStar> *Taiga looks at Ren, shaking head* That is one way to decide I suppose
<DeathStar> <Ren> I look forward to seeing what Noire cooks. *grins with a happy fox face*

<DeathStar> Location: Kluane National Park and Reserve
<DeathStar> *Ren has parked them in a beautiful territory, even with the snow, and above them the northern lights can be seen dancing in the sky. Ren has been setting up camp with the view of the mountains in the distance*
<DeathStar> <Ren> So we can do things like hiking, rafting, canoing and more over the next few days
<DeathStar> *Revi stares up at the sky, looking at the lights in awe* <Revi> ..
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmm...start raising the tents. I'll prepare the campfire ring."
<DeathStar> *Chii seems to be studying the landscape and even Andrea looks to be thoughtful. Adeline has come out, hands in her lab coat*
<DeathStar> *Cheryl begins to help get their tents up along with Isis and Athena*
<Jackieness> <Noire> *moves logs into a ring, using her tendrils*
<Seraphna> **Thena sets up a tiny tent then somehow takes Heaven and Rio inside it**
<DeathStar> *Revi looks down from the lights in the sky, then stares at the tent*
<DeathStar> <Revi> ....
<Seraphna> **Thena steps out and then brings a bag three times the size of the tent inside it**
<DeathStar> *Revi tilts her head*
<DeathStar> *Ren uses the van to set up a barrier around the camp site to protect it from bears* That should keep the wild life out
<DeathStar> <Andrea> What if we want to capture a bear. To add it to our turkey
<Seraphna> **Thena then exits the tent pulling out a ladder**
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mother, don't."
<DeathStar> <Andrea> I am only thinking about dear Cheryl and her fondness for animal
<DeathStar> *she shows sharp teeth in Cheryl's direction*
<Seraphna> **Thena exits the tent at the other end of the 10 foot ladder too** Had to change a lightbulb.
<Jackieness> <Noire> *starts building the fire*
<DeathStar> <Revi> ... *whispers* What is going on?
<DeathStar> *Cheryl finishes constructing the other normal tents*
<Seraphna> **Jaime looks to Adeline** Did we make extra dimensional tents or is this a Thena thing?
<DeathStar> <Adeline> Hm. I did not put any research into such a tent - I do not know if Taiga has or not. She does do strange research
<DeathStar> *Taiga glances up, as if insulted*
<Seraphna> **Thena hums as she drags other random people into the tent that shouldn’t even hold her**
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmmmm?" *looks over* "...has this become the circus?"
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Likely Thena is using the theory of the dragoon sub-space or the foxhole to connect it to another location. I tinker with it somewhat for my storage needs - never applied it to a tent
<Seraphna> Jaime> Just a Thena moment. We try not to think too hard about her defiance of reality.
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmm...as it starts into dusk, I'll start the cooking."
<DeathStar> *Revi looks to the horizon* I got a question
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmmm?"
<DeathStar> <Revi> We're getting closer to the north - does that mean we'll experience endless days and nights soon?
<Jackieness> <Noire> "It depends upon how far north we go. Its an effect of the Earth's tilt relative to Sol."
<DeathStar> <Ren> We'll probably get to experience it soon
<DeathStar> <Ren> Who wants to go hiking or rafting with me?
<DeathStar> <Ren> Ooo, oo, or canoing?
<DeathStar> <Andrea> I'd like to explore
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Then hiking would fit into your exploration desire."
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Endless night sounds nice.
<Seraphna> Kaelan> We can always see my moon then.
<DeathStar> <Ren> Then we'll be sure to go somewhere with the experience
<DeathStar> *Ren hops up and begins to head out of the barrier. Cheryl and Chii remain behind, while Andrea, Revi, and Taiga begin to follow Ren*
<Jackieness> <Noire> *looks at Cheryl and Chii* "I'll start cooking as soon as we make it back."
<DeathStar> <Chii> We'll keep the camp protected
<Jackieness> <Noire> *nods and ehads out with the others*
<DeathStar> *Ren follows the marked trails and heads for a large lake down below and seems to circle it* <Andrea> You know, there are stories about camp counselors that allowed a young boy to drown in this lake. And afterward he's come back every time a camp is created near it to kill all the counselors
<Jackieness> <Noire> "That was a movie, mother."
<DeathStar> <Andrea> Are we positive it was not a holodocumentary?
<Seraphna> Kaelan> I thought that was further South. In the Ten Mile River.
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Positive."
<DeathStar> *as they keep walking along the trail, up ahead a broken down camp building can be seen. Revi freezes up upon seeing it, but since Noire said it was all fake, she relaxes. Ren casually gives it a wide berth either way*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmmm....that structure is a hazard."
<DeathStar> *as they keep exploring the area, the group comes across a cave up ahead*
<DeathStar> <Ren> ... *perks up* I wonder what is inside.
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Check the guide for this information about this cave."
<DeathStar> *Taiga brings out the information* It states it's likely a bear cave and that we should not disturb them. It notes we should stick to the designated trails
<Jackieness> <Noire> "We move on then."
<DeathStar> <Ren> But..but .... *Taiga drags her on*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Ren, how would you feel if you had just eaten a large, delicious meal and were tucked into bed...then someone busts into your room and starts touchign all your stuff, mmmmmm?"
<DeathStar> *The trail soon leads them through some of the forest and soon they emerge overlooking the valley below.* <Ren> Yeah, I'd hate it. *she sits down to take the view in while Revi begins to draw it. Andrea quietly seems to look over everything*
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Mmmhmm.
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmm..." *surveys the view*
<DeathStar> *the view of the glacial path carved into the ground between the mountains goes on and on for miles*
<DeathStar> <Ren> So. As hard as it is to believe, the holidays are coming up
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmmm?"
<DeathStar> <Ren> I thought we could do something of a gift exchange when the time comes. I already have the perfect location for the holidays - instead of doing it at the Suisen like usual, I figure we can do it on the road since we're all together.
<DeathStar> <Ren> Should we do a secret santa thing and whoever's name we pull out we get that person a gift?
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmm...I do have a suggestion, Ren...schedule things so that we are in Germany for Christmas."
<DeathStar> <Ren> Germany? Why Germany?
<DeathStar> *her ears wiggle curiously*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "The Christmas markets are famed."
<DeathStar> *Ren looks at the notes* That works I guess. I was going to have go to Hawaii for Christmas and be warm, but we've done the beach before. We can use your ship to go from Alaska to Germany then travel back to the next location
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Indeed." *adjusts her glasses*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "...also...who goes to Hawaii fro christmas? Really, Ren?"
<DeathStar> <Ren> What? I thought that was a thing according to holovids
<Seraphna> Kaelan> The girls beach ready is on my wishlist at all times.
<DeathStar> <Revi> Are you one of those who really likes beach episodes?
<Jackieness> <Noire> *looks at Kaelan flatly*
<Seraphna> Kaelan> And hotsprings.
<DeathStar> <Ren> We'll circle back to Hawaii later then
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Find us a hot spring in Germany.

<Seraphna> Kaelan> Of course they do. And we’re inviting Noire’s sister.

<Seraphna> Kaelan> It’s Christmas. She can take a day off.

<Seraphna> Jaime> Indeed. I have considered making the day mandatory in the Empire.

<DeathStar> *As they return back to camp, Adeline and Chii are wrestling for something; Adeline having fox ears and tail out*

<DeathStar> *Chii seems to be holding a datapad for taking pictures; she freezes*
<DeathStar> <Adeline> ... *clears throat, TK dropping Chii roughly*
<DeathStar> <Adeline> Nothing of importance. *Her features vanish*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "...this seems supect."
<DeathStar> <Adeline> Just working on jump starting Jaime's cure. Speaking of - I need to locate Jikuu. *she seems to retreat onto the van*
<DeathStar> *Chii looks around when she's gone* <Chii> So get this, I got pictures of Adeline's cute fox ears and tail. Who wants to see?
<Seraphna> Jaime> I demand copies.
<DeathStar> <Chii> It'll cost you. *she holds out her hand*
