Cypher and Kira are now 8.75 months pregnant and 9 months pregnant respectively and Ruhi is taking a lot of Riki's time, having given Ylva most of her Presidental duties. Though the others are likely not knowing what all Riki has in motion

<DeathStar> <Asarar> The signals seem to almost match the variance of the Core that Jelly touched that time.

<DeathStar> 6* Asarar travels around in Quad 2 in the Net, following the signal. Everything is quiet except now and again someone makes buildings bigger or shapes change - likely other Runners are in the area
<DeathStar> 6* Asarar follows her reader, seeing if she can pick up any signals, frowning
<DeathStar> <Asarar> Oddly, the signal variance changed a bit since entering, yet it is picking up something in here
<Stretch> *Jelly follows along quietly, rolling his eyes at the uninventiveness of other Runners* Amateurs...
<Xanatos> <Logan> Last time it was hiddin in a false building/alley thing. Thing it might be the same thing here?

<Stretch> *Jelly muses for a moment before checking his own datareader for signals that have any type of similarity to the code they encountered in that Node*
<Seraphna> Luci> "So we smash the net?"

<DeathStar> <Asarar> So we are likely just detecting the cores now.
<DeathStar> <Samson> ... and that means what? In the real world we detected a lot, and in the Net we detect only the Cores?
<Xanatos> <Logan> Maybe the other signals were the relay points in which the nodes were communicating.
<Stretch> Jelly> The Cores are interacting with things in the real world and sending out the dozens of signals there...but here it's just the Cores.
<DeathStar> <Asarar> Possiblely. We know the Net is a hybrid of the Spirit World, which was forced onto the Spirit World.
<Seraphna> Luci> "What if it becomes like a Spirit... Net... World... Thing?"

<DeathStar> *Asarar opens up a passage and works her way to the Core in Quad 2, which is hidden in a bakery. She unseals in, peering in the empty chamber and lowers a rope since it's hard to get out
<Stretch> Jelly> Here's the freaky thought Luci...what if the Cores are actually part of an ancient Spirit that has been sleeping?
<Xanatos> <Logan> Think about it like a tree. The node is the seed and as it grows out it scatters out like branches connecting to different devices and things.

<Stretch> *Jelly looks at the rope and shudders again before following after Asarar* I really need to insist on hazard pay for this stuff...

<DeathStar> *Samson stays up to look around for now. Asarar begins to unlock the core, however this time it has a firewall that is impregnantable. Asarar frowns and tries to hack it, but the coding is too strong. It would take way more NetRunners than they know*

<Stretch> *Jelly just looks at Logan like he's daft* Have you not heard of parts of town getting demolished due to fights in the Net?

<Stretch> *Jelly sighs and looks at the firewall, gulping nervously before slowly reaching out to simply feel it with a finger tip*

<Xanatos> <Logan> Eh? 6* He glances around for the voice.

<DeathStar> *Asarar turns and Fate is there. Though her body changes a lot, looking normal, then childish, then old*

<DeathStar> <Fate> *she tilts her head, as if seeing through Jelly a moment, then turns to the others*
<Sara> * Chelsea's ears twitch as she listens in alongside Samson, though keeps watch
<Stretch> Jelly> Hey, they're simply possibilities that exist? You could surprise us and actually help.
<DeathStar> <Fate> The Net as you call it a computer. A system of sorts. As Tora was shaping it, Destiny used a slight of hand to have this formed. Tying it into the Spirit World that was here and corrupting it. You wish to know the truth of it, yes?

<Seraphna> * Luci raises a brow. "The Truth huh?"
<Stretch> Jelly> Uh...how complex of a computer?
<DeathStar> *Fate holds out her hands and uses the Net to show things* The Truth of the systems is this. As the city was formed, Destiny shaped the Net under Tora's nose. And corrupted the Spirit World's connection at the same time. The Net is a processor that runs on minds. The nodes are simply there to run the processing data of all those minds. Destroying them does nothing but... *She trails off*

<Seraphna> Luci> "That's quite a place to stop."
<Stretch> Jelly> Destroying them does nothing but leave the minds that were fueling the Net running in an endless loop...one that could have numerous different outcomes depending on the last series of commands that were issued through the Nodes.
<Sara> <Chelsea> Runs on... minds. *she murmurs*
<DeathStar> <Fate> You are likely wondering how the Net runs and or never shuts off. A selection of people were taken and placed in a location hidden away and forced into sleep. And hooked into machines. The people who were part of the project died and the project forgotten. But the seletcted people are still there, running the Net

<Seraphna> Luci> "Can those people be rescued...?"
<DeathStar> <Fate> Trapped and forever keeping The Net alive. Destroying the Nodes sets them free. By death. At least a few dozen.

<Seraphna> Luci> "Let's see if they like this then..." *she growls and summons a second shard blade, then leaps from the wall, spinning between the others and slicing in a whirlwind around them*

<Stretch> *Jelly grimaces as he considers this for a moment before bringing his datareader next to one of the sleepers and trying to use his Remote Hacking Mod to hack the Net that is there in the sleeper...their mind.
<Xanatos> 6* Logan jerks, hands going up to grab for the wire, gasping for 'air'.

<kalonZombie> 6*Max then feels woozy and sits down, his chest bleeding

<Seraphna> * Luci blinks and looks over, walking back since the elevator won't move unless someone removes her blade now.

<Stretch> *Jelly tries to redirect the protection algorithms and security subroutines he's hacking through to feedback not on the sleepers but on an empty building*
