<Kemonohime> * Vyvy pats Shade. "No, it's already. I should heal up for that bastard. He's going to pop up sooner or later. Let's just take this moment to flourish the royal family an lick our wounds."

<DeathStar> <Yuki> Erica's first assignment with the Aquarius was to explore the Alpha Quadrant long ago
<kalonZombie> <Denise> Yeah, explain this whole fucking gate situation for people who just got promoted.
<Orthogon> <Rada> Well, I'm sure you didn't fly us out here just to have us get blown up, right?
<DeathStar> <Yuki> The Alpha Quadrant being where the people of Kumen came from, kinda *she leaves out the whole Tora and reality bit*
<Sara> <Erica> Basically, we went on a mission to the Homeworld -- that "Earth" place.
<Xanatos> 6* Simon steps forward to peer at the monitor.
<Seraphna> Cookie> "Yeah..."
<DeathStar> <Yuki> The homeworld of the Kumen people having been thought to be lost and so her mission was to learn the truth about it and so she was on an exploration for it. Along the way she met any races there, mirror images that were living that came from my world
<DeathStar> <Yuki> We later realized that the races were from my world
<DeathStar> <Yuki> Due to reality quakes in space drawing them here
<Xanatos> <Simon> So the alpha quadrant was similar to your world?
<DeathStar> <Yuki> Essentially.
<kalonZombie> <Denise> Sounds like it was their fucking world.
<DeathStar> <Yuki> But there was differences
<Seraphna> Cookie> "Like the shield around it."
<Sara> <Erica> And the reality quakes pretty much tore what little was left of "our" Earth apart.
<DeathStar> <Yuki> Yes. And it released a miasma...thing? A distortion? From that earth that began to cover the Alpha Quadrant
<Xanatos> <Logan> The whole quadrant?
<DeathStar> <Yuki> It was basically filling it up and it was a race to escape. If you were caught in it, you were caught in place - moving so slow, you were never going to leave it - for eons.
<Seraphna> Cookie> The whole quadrant.
<Sara> <Erica> Whole thing, 'up in flames'.
<DeathStar> <Yuki> We got as many people out that we could
<Sara> <Erica> Brought a whole ship of refugees.
<DeathStar> <Yuki> And moved them here. Many were reality quaked over to the other side but some are still living here in Geyze or Kumen.
<Seraphna> Alita> Makes me wonder if once in that flow of time, the spaces outside it seem like they're moving faster...
<Xanatos> <Simon> So, are we endangered of that coming through the gate, or do you have another reason for us being here?
<Orthogon> <Rada> They might not even be able to observe the spaces outside, I think.
<DeathStar> <Yuki> But long story short, we realized that the miasma would travel trhoguh the gate and enter the quadrant here
<DeathStar> <Yuki> And flood this place too, so we damaged it and shut it down, essentially destroying it
<Seraphna> Cookie> Which should have stopped it, at least for a long, long time."
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "But?"
<Xanatos> <Logan> Should.
<DeathStar> <Yuki> *she brings the screen up, where the gate is back*

<Orthogon> <Rada> Maybe we should just let it expand. If there's nothing outside of it, the time distortion isn't really an issue...Does it do anything else?
