They are called before Lu early in the morning. What they did not know is that this journey would begin the one that would see them gone as their world begin to change, and that they might be the only unit that could course correct it

<DeathStar> <Lu> Sorry to spring this on you with little notice. I know your Tamaes will not like it. They will probably try to ambush you all as you move to go

<Jackieness> <Sasha> *gives a curt nod at the mention of the Tamaes*
<Tabetha> Alita> "Hmm..."

<Sara> * Liana looks a bit distracted, but listens
<DeathStar> <Lu> Your assignment will be in the Spiritualist Faction
<DeathStar> <Lu> Likely, you will be spending quite some time there.
<Tabetha> Alita> "What will we be doing there?"
<DeathStar> <Lu> You will going to the Monk and Summoner Mountain
<Tabetha> * Alita nods a little. Looking to her twin, thinking that no doubt their Tamae will want something to do with the Magi ruins along the way.
<DeathStar> <Lu> After your true report on the status of the mining, we would like their insight from their orders on the world of spirits, and if the Summoni feel there are any changes in the world, as well gathering intel that you think is pertient. Any rumors or myths in the area, this time you will be free to do your own research and follow your own leads.
<AquaKoala> *Commodus frowns a little, being a legionaire in the spiritualist lands

<DeathStar> <Lu> Remember, you are only going to their mountain. Do not go running off after Magi relics and trying to find legendary stuff like many do
<DeathStar> 6* She motions at the two mountains, indicating the lower mountain
<Tabetha> Alita> "If I remember rightly, the groups aren't very happy with the Kumen operations as is."
<Sara> <Liana> Legendary stuff... huh.

<Sara> <Liana> Obviously I'll follow the mission. Just makes me wonder.
<Tabetha> * Alita frowns, putting a hand on her hip as she looks over the map.
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "We will remain operating within the bounds of the Spiritualist laws."
<DeathStar> <Lu> There used to be a Magi Order on the second mountain. Many make the trek there hoping to find their motherlode of spells and relics
<Tabetha> Alita> "At this point it is probably already emptied out by the raiders and that... New Magi Order that's been rumored, right?"
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Regardless, it is not out concern. Please continue, Miss Lu."
<DeathStar> <Lu> We have a flying carriage to get you there. Though you will probably have to park it at the base of the mountain. It will probably not do well in the cold. Other than that, the rest is up to you
<DeathStar> <Lu> Due to the politics of your previous missions, we are giving you more free reign this time to do what you want
<DeathStar> 6* Gwen plays with a cat's paw like string, focusing her face
<Tabetha> * Alita nods again and peers over the map. "Can we get a copy of the map?"
<Sara> <Liana> So this is basically just an observational mission?
<DeathStar> 6* Lu blinks that they do not have a world map yet. "I'll have a map sent to your room then."
<DeathStar> <Lu> No. Like I said, we want you to speak with the Summoni and Monk Orders
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "...I have a map. After our last incident, I went to the shop and bought one."
<DeathStar> <Lu> And then follow whatever leads you deem important
<kalonZombe> 6*Ceilia nods
<Sara> <Liana> I just meant in the sense that we're basically looking for information. I misworded. But I understand.
<Tabetha> * Alita smiles and Sasha and nods pleased.
<DeathStar> <Lu> Well, gather your stuff from your room, let your Tamaes ambush you
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Also, remember to dress warmly. The Spiritualist territories is notable for its... year-round winter."
<DeathStar> 6* She makes a face
<Tabetha> * Alita nods and sighs. "I think we have some thicker cut robes... maybe."
<DeathStar> 6* Gwen, hands tangled, nods and moves to go
<kalonZombe> <Ceilia> We at least have ones that don't show clevage. ... Right?
<Tabetha> * Alita leans in and whispers to Sasha. "We should pack for the other Gwen too."
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *nods to Alita*

<DeathStar> 6* After stopping at the Tamaes, and getting their supplies, they are outside the temples, and at their flying carriage. Celes stands there, packed herself
<DeathStar> <Celes> Becareful, all of you
<DeathStar> 6* Gwen is in the front seat, getting the carriage started up
<Sara> <Liana> I'll see you again, Celes. No ifs, ands, or buts... I will. *she nods slightly* One way or another.
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "We will..." *lowers her voice* "I fear you may be walking into the greater danger."

<Tabetha> * Alita gives Celes a hug almost out of nowhere. She whispers. "I will watch out for your not so secret lover."
<DeathStar> 6* Celes nods at both Sasha and Liana, then blinks at Alita
<AquaKoala> *Commodus is waiting with his pack
<kalonZombe> <Ceilia> We will be. Say hi to Eve for me!
<DeathStar> 6* Celes gives Liana a hug, then Sasha. "You two watch out for yourself. I am not the one going out to save the world. Write to me sometime, but becareful what you write."

<DeathStar> 6* Celes peers at Ceilia at Eve's name, but nods, holding still at the next hug
<Sara> * Liana gives a small nod. She's going to be writing a lot of things from now on, she thinks. Not just to Celes, but in general too.
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "I am versed in the politics, so I shall be wary."
<Tabetha> * Alita adjusts her more covering robes and satisfied that she did a personable thing, gets ready to go. "Gwenny, are you going to drive us?"

<DeathStar> 6* Celes walks back and heads to a normal horse drawn carriage, stepping inside
<kalonZombe> 6*Ceilia steps inside and sits next to Alita
<AquaKoala> *Commodus waves to Celes
<Tabetha> * Alita looks at the coach and the spot next to Gwen. "Would you like me to read to you?"
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *enters the flying carriage and takes her seat*
<Sara> * Liana watches Celes getting into her carriage with sad eyes before she finally gets into the flying carriage

<DeathStar> 6* Gwen takes off, zooming along
<Tabetha> * Alita sits by Gwen, giving her twin an apologetic look. She reads from the Spiritualist novel from Liana's grandfather.

<Tabetha> * Alita closes the book, peering around. "This seems hotter than I thought it would be."
<DeathStar> <Kito> Why did we park here? <Neekito> Because Gwen is a nut
<AquaKoala> *Commodus looks happy to be at home, even if it's only for little bit
<DeathStar> 6* The two shudder, eyeing the lava rivers
<kalonZombe> <Ceilia> Wonder how many broken hearts Commodus left here.
<DeathStar> <Gwen> Trying to decide how to approach mountains

<Sara> <Liana> Broken hearts?
<DeathStar> <Gwen> We want bottom mountain, right?
<Tabetha> Alita> *looks at the map* Yes, seems that way."
<DeathStar> <Gwen> Well, only way up it is on the bottom part of bottom mountain. Many more days to fly around it. Wonder if we can fly over ocean and take short cut
<kalonZombe> <Ceilia> Didn't you know, Liana? Commodus is a lady killer.
<DeathStar> 6* Gwen turns the map upside down, pondering if the flying carriage can fly over water
<kalonZombe> 6*She smiles, joking
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "As Lu recommended, we should land at the base of the mountains. Perhaps at this Mountain Etrance City."
<Sara> <Liana> He killed what? *she looks even more troubled now*
<Tabetha> Alita> "I'm not sure... can it fly over water?"
<kalonZombe> <Ceilia> No no... I'm just joking, Liana.
<Sara> <Liana> Sorry... I guess I'm still a little on edge.
<DeathStar> 6* The two fauna eye Commodus like he's a bad man now
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "...Spirit-Tech engineering is not my area of expertise."
<DeathStar> <Gwen> We shall try for it! 6* She takes off
<AquaKoala> Commodus> Why wouldn't it fly over water?
<Tabetha> * Alita points to the bottom part of the continent. "There's a small amount of land just below the mountain, likely the shore, we could use that as a safety net?"
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "It could be attuned to the bare land. Putting water beneath us could disrupt that attunement."
<Tabetha> Alita> "Just fly low."

<DeathStar> 6* Sticking close to shore, except the one spot where there is none, and the carriage made strange chugging sounds and their spirit energy went low, they soon begin to reach the cold area of the Mountain Entrance Village. The controls beginning to freeze up constantly, making Gwen have to defreeze them. Soon she brings them for a landing outside the village, landing in a snow drift
<kalonZombe> 6*Ceilia shivvers, pulling Alita close for warmth
<AquaKoala> *Commodus pulls on his cloak, a massive bear skin with the hood being the head
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "It seems Lu was right... the carriage cannot withstand sustained cold... not that I am enjoying myself either."
<Sara> <Liana> D-do you think we'll ever actually be able to hold on to one of these?
<Tabetha> Alita> "It's intact, we could always retrieve this one later."
<Sara> <Liana> *under her breath* The other one was intact too...
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Let's disembark and speak to the city leaders."
<AquaKoala> Commodus> Did everyone pack for the cold?
<Sara> * Liana nods
<Tabetha> * Alita adjusts the shawl over her heavy dress.
<DeathStar> <Gwen> I can warm it up later and get it going
<DeathStar> 6* She hops out
<DeathStar> 6* She looks weak and ill
<Tabetha> * Alita gets out, she blinks and steadies Gwen. "Are you alright dear?"
<DeathStar> 6* The two fauna hop out, wearing thick handmaiden robes, looking fine with their tails fluffed up
<AquaKoala> *Commodus eyes Gwen, climbing down
<DeathStar> <Gwen> Yeah... I could use some water
<DeathStar> 6* She notes
<DeathStar> 6* She pulls her tight coat on more
<Tabetha> * Alita takes some from their packs and gives it to her.
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "...cold air is dry."
<DeathStar> 6* Gwen sips it
<Tabetha> Alita> "Keep hydrated."
<DeathStar> <Kito> Good thing she is only half nymph
<Sara> * Liana is wearing a warm robe over her normal clothes
<DeathStar> 6* As they enter the village, which looks much like a country Japanese village, the air grows warmer, somehow and the snow is barely on the ground here, just a light sprinkling
<DeathStar> 6* The homes here have a nice charm to them, much like the Japanese building, despite the word not being known here
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *is wearing a white, fur-trimmed parka*
<Tabetha> Alita> "This is a nice place."
<DeathStar> 6* Men wearing no shirts practice fighting against wooden dummies, and sometimes shooting chi and using chakra. And women do the same near them. There are a few inns, and even shops. Races of all kinds seem to be running them. Strangely there are no schools though for this small village. And there is even one club here, just one
<kalonZombe> <Ceilia> Yeah. Cold, but you can always get someone to warm up with
<DeathStar> 6* It seems it's a pitstop more than a full city, only having a few hundred people
<Sara> * Liana looks at Ceilia and frowns a bit, still thinking of Celes.
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "The town seems to be geared for travelers."
<DeathStar> 6* Gwen looks like she feels a bit better inside the village limits
<DeathStar> 6* Behind the village is the mountain path upward
<Tabetha> Alita> "Shall we find an inn to rest and gather what we need for the journey on the path?"
<DeathStar> 6* A few children peek out, studying them
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Yes, let's." *searches for acomodations with her eyes*
<DeathStar> <Kito> Might be better if we can make Gwen turn into her male form if we want to go up the mountain
<DeathStar> 6* She notes outloud. Gwen blinks at Kito
<kalonZombe> 6*Ceilia smiles and waves at the kids
<DeathStar> 6* The kids wave back and run off, giggling. Sasha would see many inns, around 4
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "We have a choice of accomodations, it would seem."
<Tabetha> * Alita muses a bit and taps her chin. "Well let's pick one." She also tries to think about how to address female Gwen about her forms.
<Sara> <Liana> I guess a lot of travelers must come through here...
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *turns to the kitos* "Please quickly scout out the inns for me."
<DeathStar> 6* They zoom inside each one
<DeathStar> 6* Then wave from the one built into the mountain
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *nods* "This way, team." *heads to the one built into the mountain*
<Sara> * Liana follows Sasha
<kalonZombe> 6*Ceilia follows, shrugging
<Tabetha> * Alita follows behind Sasha.
<AquaKoala> *Commodus follows
<DeathStar> 6* Inside, the prices look very high, around 50 coin per person, but they have a hotspring and claim to have the softest bed. A 12 year old girl who looks a lot like Cherry stands behind the counter, only with a different hair color
<Tabetha> Alita> "...Widespread family?"
<Sara> * Liana blinks at the palette-swap-girl
<DeathStar> <Girl> Hi. I'm Oran. Can I help you?
<AquaKoala> *Commodus raises an eyebrown
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Yes, we are seeking accomodation as we prepare for a climb."
<DeathStar> 6* She nods and counts their heads. "I can give you a group discount."
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Excellent."
<DeathStar> 6* She takes their coin and gives them rooms and hotspring access
<kalonZombe> 6*Ceilia gets a room with Alita
<DeathStar> 6* Gwen moves down to float
<DeathStar> 6* Kito and Neekito move to drag Sasha's stuff into her room
<Sara> * Liana figures she'll share her room with Gwen
<Tabetha> * Alita passes a second pack to Liana, with Gwen's mail clothes in it.

<DeathStar> 6* She asks Sasha
<Sara> * Liana nods to Alita and takes the pack to the room
<DeathStar> 6* The village elder peers at the inn, moving into the inn
<DeathStar> 6* He looks around
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Rest up for a bit. We will need to prepare to make the ascent."
<DeathStar> 6* The elder speaks with Oran, then moves up to their rooms, knocking
<Tabetha> Alita> "Sasha, mind if we talk?" *she moves over to Sasha*
<AquaKoala> *Commodus looks out "Ave, you must be the leader here."
<DeathStar> <Village Elder> Indeed. I heard we have visitors. I came to learn what your intentions were
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Of course not. Please." *gestures to a seat*
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "A moment please." *moves to go out to the hall, following the knock* "Good day to you, sir."
<AquaKoala> Commodus>We plan to climb the mountain tomorrow to speak to the Summoni
<Tabetha> * Alita moves to sit with her, then waits for Sasha.
<DeathStar> 6* The Village Elder nods. "Many die trying to climb the mountain, especially this time of year. Even with the path carved out. You will need certain items. Come, I will get them for you. Make sure your group has empty item slots to carry them."
<DeathStar> 6* He walks out to a shop.
<AquaKoala> *Commodus follows
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *claps her hands* "Everyone, we are going shopping!"
<kalonZombe> 6*Ceilia nods, moving to follow Sasha
<Tabetha> * Alita blinks and gets up to follow.
<DeathStar> 6* The Village Elder talks to the shop owner, and gets two pieces of rope, a horn, a single pair of special shoes that look to be light weight, and finally monster bait
<DeathStar> <Village Elder> There, that will let you reach your destination
<DeathStar> 6* Kito and Neekito tilt their head
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *heads to the shop after Commodus and the Elder*
<AquaKoala> *Commodus looks the gear over
<DeathStar> <Village Elder> The horn will scare off the white haired legendary man eating monsters, the special shoes will let you walk over weak ground so that you can find an alternate route for those not wearing it, and the monster bait will let you distract wolves
<Tabetha> * Alita does as well, biting her lip. "I can stash my crystal, won't need it here, but I'm not very good at lifting too much at once."
<DeathStar> <Village Elder> And at two points you will need the rope
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "We should be able to spread the gear out amongst ourselves."
<kalonZombe> <Ceilia> I'll carry as much as I can. 6*She says... which won't be much but hey, it's the thought that counts
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "The gentleman suggests that one one eprson needs the shoes to scout for safe routes."

<DeathStar> 6* She shakes like a dog
<DeathStar> 6* Then picks up the horn
<AquaKoala> *Commodus blinks at Gwen

<Tabetha> ((She's putting her crystal "away" for it.)
<Sara> * Liana puts away her lockpicks to take the bait
<AquaKoala> *Commodus pushes them over to Sasha
<Tabetha> * Alita gives it to someone else if she can't pocket her crystal for now.
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *picks up the shoes and nods*
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Remember, just because you hold it does not mean that are necessarily the person who will use it."

<DeathStar> 6* The next morning, Gwen shivers, her hair in a ponytail
<DeathStar> <Gwen> Gwen hate cold.
<DeathStar> 6* The two Kitos are bundled up as they stand before a simple mountain trail
<DeathStar> 6* Oran has given them cake to eat, which the Kitos carry. Important stuff after all
<DeathStar> 6* Gwen peers to see if someone will take the lead
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *has bid farewell to the hot spring and looks flatly at the mountain trail*
<DeathStar> 6* It curls upward normally
<DeathStar> 6* Going out of sight eventually over ridges
<AquaKoala> *Commodus start up the trail
<kalonZombe> 6*Ceilia starts following Commodus
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Company, forwaaaard!"
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *starts the trek up the mountain*
<Sara> * Liana stays close to Gwen, a bit concerned about her in the cold
<Tabetha> * Alita trails behind Sasha, she likes being behind Sasha.
<DeathStar> 6* As they move up, the trail feels fairly easy to move for the first few hours, and one would begin to wonder what the big deal is that the elder made. They pass monks from time to time from the village training
<kalonZombe> 6*Ceilia smiles at Alita, hanging back to walk with her
<AquaKoala> *Commodus waves when they pass
<DeathStar> 6* Gwen gives Liana a smile from time to time as they move along, and soon the air subtlely gets colder and thinner, making the normal walking a bit harder. Gwen lags a bit more and more as they move. Soon they reach the first real obstacle, a steep incline that goes up to the top that they can't walk - it is either climb up the icy cliff or use a rope
<DeathStar> 6* Gwen sits, huffing, tkaing a break
<Tabetha> Alita> "I believe this is one of the two times mentioned?"
<AquaKoala> *Commodus nods
<DeathStar> 6* The foxes nibble on the snacks, eating into their supplies
<DeathStar> *the fox and cat
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *looks at the kitos* "Stop, please. We must conserve our supplies."
<DeathStar> 6* They jerk and their ears droop as they look pathetic
<DeathStar> 6* Gwen curls up as if going to sleep as they wait on a rope
<kalonZombe> <Ceilia> Don't sleep Gwen.
<kalonZombe> <Ceilia> Stay awake.
<DeathStar> 6* Gwen opens her eyes a bit. "Mmmm..."
<kalonZombe> 6*Ceilia hands the rope off to someone who knows what they're doing better

<DeathStar> 6* As the sun gets a bit lower it gets colder
<DeathStar> 6* Though in good news, the long break as refreshed them
<DeathStar> 6* The two Kitos climb next
<DeathStar> 6* As they reach the top, they are at the highest plateu so far and it seems no more walking higher, just moving side-ways now toward the Summoni in an eastward direction. They wave down at the others to climb
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *climbs up the rope*
<Tabetha> * Alita climbs up after Sasha.
<kalonZombe> 6*Ceilia climbs up after Alita
<Sara> <Liana> Gwen, we have to climb...
<DeathStar> 6* Gwen nods and rises, asnd weakly climbs, sliding down a few times
<DeathStar> 6* The two Kitos bounce along ahead in the snow
<Sara> * Liana hangs back, trying to make sure Gwen will be okay
<DeathStar> 6* Then squeal and slide ahead and out of sight
<DeathStar> 6* Gwen reaches the top and thanks Liana
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Kito! Neekito!"
<Sara> * Liana climbs up after she's sure Gwen made it up
<Tabetha> * Alita looks over Gwen and helps her warm up when she reaches the top.
<DeathStar> 6* Gwen seems to get some color back, blinking aty Sasha's cry. As she waddles to the point they slid, they can see a giant field of snow and ice, with the ice hidden under snow
<DeathStar> 6* The two fauna are on their backs in the middle of it, wiggling
<DeathStar> 6* The ice looking thin to boot
<DeathStar> 6* It's hard to tell which areas are solid and which are ice
<kalonZombe> <Ceilia> Not good...
<Sara> <Liana> This must be where we need the shoes.
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Kito. Neekito. Please make your way back to us... slowly and carefully. I beg of you."
<DeathStar> 6* They roll onto their stomachs and shuffle along back to them
<DeathStar> 6* Using their waif like stature to spread out their weight. Even so, the ice cracks and groans at times before they make it back
<DeathStar> <Neekito> M-mew...no like ice...no like ice.. <Kito> *looks traumatized*
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *lets out a sigh of relief*
<kalonZombe> 6*Ceilia whews
<DeathStar> <Gwen> If the shoes are needed
<DeathStar> <Gwen> We will need someone light to walk, right?
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *then casts her gaze around* "...we must determine where the next path is to be found."
<AquaKoala> *Commodus eyes Gwen and scoops her easily, keeping her under his cloak mostly "You need to rest."
<Tabetha> Alita> "Yeah, we will. Though you need rest Gwen."
<DeathStar> 6* Gwen blushes. "T-Thank you."
<DeathStar> 6* Sadly, there are no footprints to be found and snow over the ice field makes the hard ground hard to see. Likely this is why the shoes were given, to distribute one's weight so he can walk around and see for himself
<AquaKoala> Commodus> Will someone please put those shoes on.
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *places the shoes upon the ground and sets her feet into them* "I shall find a path then."
<DeathStar> 6* Prepare yourself Sasha, for the OG! (Hopefully Jackieness doesn't remember what it takes to skip it)
