<DeathStar> 6* The day so far, approaching another night, has gone uneventfully and so far the lord of the manor has not shown
<DeathStar> 6* The maids move about, doing their business
<Seraphna> * Alita rises, grabbing a book.

<DeathStar> 6* Gwen does sit ups in the snow outside the manor, eyeing a giant fire piut down a hill
<DeathStar> 6* Kito snoozes, tail twitching, as she sleeps naked like her cat counterpart, refusing to budge from the bed, unless dragged.
<Seraphna> * Alita dresses warmly and yawns a little. "Rest is always nice."

<Sara> * Liana sits out in the lobby area, lost in her thoughts
<DeathStar> 6* The maids begin to put supper on the table, made up of meats primarily, and no vegetables
<DeathStar> 6* Candles are lit as the sun goes down

<Seraphna> * Alita smiles at her softly and begins to head down for the table.

<DeathStar> 6* Gwen stands up and goes inside, drying off snow with a towel
<Sara> * Liana looks up upon hearing the sound, standing, nodding to Gwen
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Wake up and dress, Kito. I believe dinner is served."

<Sara> <Liana> Hi Gwen. Guess that was the food bell? *her stomach growls as if it's agreeing with her*
<DeathStar> 6* Kito opens her eyes, then ducks under the covers even as she lets Sasha go. "Will starve."

<DeathStar> 6* He walks toward the table, eyeing the maids putting various meats on the plates of everyone, and setting down gravy cups for those who want it.
<DeathStar> 6* They also set down only ale and bitter tea to drink
<DeathStar> 6* Neekito keeps clinging to Vyvy naked, to warm them both up
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Dress. You'll feel warmer." *sets aside her book and moves off of her bed* "The food will warm you up."
<Seraphna> * Alita seems pleased, drinking the tea and eating meat.
<Sara> * Liana follows after Gwen
<Nyaomi> 6Vyvy shrugs, relaxing with her
<DeathStar> 6* Kito whines, but gets out as ordered, pulling on no undergarments but she does put on her layers of outer clothing before her handmaiden clothing, looking comically overstuffed before following Sasha

<DeathStar> 6* Gwen pulls Liana's chair back for her to sit
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *shakes her head as she moves to the dining room*

<Sara> <Liana> Such a gentleman. *she giggles and smiles, sitting*
<DeathStar> 6* Gwen sits himself, peering at Sasha and Kito, blinking at the blob of a fox
<DeathStar> 6* Kito gets Sasha's seat ready, pouring her tea
<DeathStar> 6* Then sits and almost rolls out of the chair
<DeathStar> 6* Gwen gets ale and two kinds of meat, eyeing no vegetables with a shrug. After a moment, a man in his forties comes in and sits down, having a long beard that curls, that is graying. He has no hair on his head

<DeathStar> 6* The maids curtsey to the man, preparing his plate
<Seraphna> * Alita hides her amusement as she nibbles at meat.
<DeathStar> 6* Kito rightens herself and begins to eat herself
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "I presume you are our generous host?"
<kalonZombie> 6*Ceilia eats a sausage suggestively
<Sara> * Liana doesn't seem to mind the lack of veggies either, though she hasn't started eating yet, looking toward the man

<Jackieness> <Sasha> "It is a pleasure. You hospitality is greatly appreciated. I am Sasha Hapian."
<DeathStar> 6* He nods to them. Gwen waves as he eats. Kito nibbles her food, drinking the warm tea

<DeathStar> 6* He sips his ale and eats his food that the maids cut up for him
<DeathStar> 6* Neekito meanwhile snuggles her face against Vyvy's breasts, murmuring about how soft they are
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "We have been sent by the Academy. We seek the expertise of the Summoners regarding the state of the spirit world."
<DeathStar> <Harold> Ah, so you want to see the Summoni. 6* He rubs his beard.
<Seraphna> * Alita nods.
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "That is correct."
<DeathStar> <Harold> Well, I will get you in. How soon do you need to get in?
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "When it is least intrusicve to the Summoni. We have been given a great deal of flexibility on our mission, and I'd rather not step on any toes."
<DeathStar> <Harold> So the morning will work?
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "That is suitable."
<DeathStar> 6* Harold nods. "Good, good. Well, for tonight, you will be my guests."
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "We are grateful for your hospitality."
<Sara> <Liana> Thank you so much for all of your hospitality. *she says, having been eating*
<kalonZombie> <Ceilia> Thank you very much, sir.
<Seraphna> Alita> "Yes thank you."
<DeathStar> 6* That night, Harold takes them out clubbing, oddly enough, to places "full of spirit" - not literally, just with girls full of zeal apparantly. Gwen begs off being sick

<DeathStar> 6* Kito sleeps on top of Sasha naked again, and Neekito on Vyvy when Harold's maids ring their bells loudly signaling that Harold is ready to depart. The sun hasn't even risen yet, though up here in the mountains it's hard to see except in certain spots
<DeathStar> 6* Gwen rises from his bed, squinting, then moves to dress. The two kitos refuse to budge
<Seraphna> * Alita is up again and adjusts her robes, grabbing her things.
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *rises and claps her hands to waken Kito* "It is time. Dress and we set out."
<Sara> * Liana rolls over in bed, mumbling something about Celes
<kalonZombie> 6*Ceilia isn't far behind Alita, perfectly fine
<Seraphna> Alita> "The clubs here were okay."
<AquaKoala> *Commodus is already up and dressed
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *moves to quickly make herself presentable*
<DeathStar> 6* Kito groans and climbs out, fumbling to dress
<DeathStar> 6* She goes to light a candle to pack, and ends up almost setting her tail on fire
<DeathStar> 6* Gwen takes a candle he lights and moves through the dark corridors down to the main hall/entrance, where the maids have lit a few candles, blowing his out
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Careful, Kito."
<AquaKoala> *Commodus is sitting in the main hall, loking rested
<DeathStar> 6* Kito gracefully pulls her tail out of the way, lighting the candle and then moves half-naked around packing, pulling her clothes on at the last moment and carrying Sasha's things down, her tail wrapped around the candle
<Sara> * Liana eventually stirs, peering around and getting herself ready for the day
<DeathStar> 6* Harold waits for them all, leaning on a stick
<kalonZombie> <Ceilia> COuld have been better, but also could have been way worse.
<Seraphna> * Alita waits for the others with those who rose early, yawning a little bit.
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *moves downstairs with Kito*
<Seraphna> Alita> "Not quite as fun as a Daemon bar late at night."
<Sara> * Liana finally makes her way to the others, fashionably late
<DeathStar> 6* Kito pauses in the main area and brings the candle up, eyes closed the entire time and blows it out and tosses it aside
<DeathStar> <Harold> Is this all of you? Alright, lets go

<DeathStar> 6* He opens the door and walks out into a horse drawn carriage, climbing in
<kalonZombie> 6*Ceilia follows, holding Alita's hand
<DeathStar> 6* Kito rushes in and leaps in, burying herself under luggage
<Seraphna> Alita> "Did we remember our Vyvy?"
<Sara> <Liana> Did anyone pack her? *she says, half-joking*
<DeathStar> <Gwen> We can't keep our host waiting, Vyvy will need to find her own way
<DeathStar> 6* Gwen pulls himself in
<Nyaomi> <Vyvy> ... Ha ha...

<Sara> * Liana gets in by Gwen
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Unfortunately so." *climbs into the carriage*
<DeathStar> 6* Gwen peers at Vyvy. "Did you bring Neekito?"
<Seraphna> Alita> "Oh there she is." *she follows the others and gets in*
<Nyaomi> <Vyvy> I'd have to, she's attached to me and been making it difficult to leave
<DeathStar> 6* Neekito clings to Vyvy - naked
<Nyaomi> 6Vyvy gestures at the lump of cat as big as her.
<DeathStar> 6* Gwen covers his nose and turns away, bright red

<Seraphna> Alita> "Oh my... was this a naked ride..." *she slowly reaches to her robe hem*
<DeathStar> 6* Soon the carriage is moving along, Harold eyeing the cat fascinatedly
<DeathStar> <Gwen> By the spirits, no
<kalonZombie> 6*Ceilia stops her "No it's not, sis.
<Nyaomi> 6Vyvy grumbles, wrapping a mantle around herself and the cat.
<Seraphna> Alita> "Oh."
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "...please dress Neekito."
<kalonZombie> <Ceilia> ...As much fun as that would be... 6*She says, eyes darting at Sasha and Commodus when she says that
<DeathStar> 6* Kito pulls Neekito down for Vyvy, and dressing sounds can be heard
<Seraphna> * Alita glances towards Sasha and blushes.
<DeathStar> 6* They soon are approaching a large castle that looks like something out of a European painting, the stone castle looking cold as hell in winter time.
<Sara> * Liana peers out at it, curious
<AquaKoala> *Commodus looks at it
<DeathStar> 6* It stands on the edge of the top of the mountain cliffs, and is at the tallest point, overlooking the city built around it. They stop at the gates and Harold speaks with the guards, who wave them through into the complex, which surrounds the castle, the stone walls dividing up the area based on lessons it seems
<DeathStar> 6* Men and women of all ages stand around in the snow, meditating or summoning spirits, with instructors standing and judging or teaching. Harold peers at Vyvy, as if he can sense something about her. "Remember to not show off certain abilities in here, and always announce you are part of the Academy."
<DeathStar> 6* Is his only warning, though it seems directed at Vyvy
<DeathStar> 6* The carriage passes the various areas and stops at the main castle, where young students of 6 or 7 take the horses. Harold gets out, motionig them to get out too
<DeathStar> <Harold> You can leave your luggage
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *steps out of the carriage*
<DeathStar> 6* Gwen steps out, peering around. The two fauna remain as well, perhaps considering themselves luggage, or guarding it
<Seraphna> * Alita gets out, keeping her equipment but leaving the bag.
<Sara> * Liana ponders that for a moment, but then nods at the Kitos as she gets out
<kalonZombie> 6*Ceilia gets out as well
<AquaKoala> *Commodus steps out
<DeathStar> 6* Gwen helps Vyvy down
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "My handmaidens will remain with the carriage if that is permissible?"
<DeathStar> <Harold> Sure. They will be taken to your rooms
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *nods* "Then we are ready."
<DeathStar> 6* Harold leads them through the main gates of the castle, and inside two firepits burn to give warmth to the cold interior, as well as torches for light. They move along the huge open interior toward three people on seats, two women and one man, wearing robes. Their ages are indeterminable
<AquaKoala> *Commodus follows, looking at the people
<DeathStar> 6* One of the women appears to be a daemon, an Asmos, one of the men is a werebear, it seems, based on some features, and the other woman might be a dragoon based on the mark through her hair
<Seraphna> * Alita smiles upon seeing them.
<DeathStar> <Harold> *kneels before them* High Summoni, these are the Academy officers
<DeathStar> 6* The three of them study the group as Harold rises and moves off
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Thank you for granting this audience. I am Sasha Hapian."
<DeathStar> 6* The Asmos looks beautiful as her race is, her tail shifting subtlely behind her, her eyes gazing at them. The man, in human form with just a touch of bear features, looks wise and contemplative, and the dragoon female seems to be 18, hands folded on her lap

<Seraphna> * Alita curtsies. "Alita Whisperlight."
<kalonZombie> <Ceilia> Ceilia Whisperlight. 6*She curtsies the same way, but in a mirrored fashion
<DeathStar> <Dragoon Summoni> Harold told us you wished to speak with us. I am Kalam.
<Sara> <Liana> Liana Windrunner. *she curtsies, in her own way of course*
<DeathStar> <Kalam> We are curious why you wish to stand before our order. 6* She eyes Vyvy. There is a tightening of her eyes a bit before turning back to the others
<DeathStar> 6* The other two let their counterpart speak for now
<Sara> * Liana glances toward Sasha
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "We come on behalf of the Academy. The Kumen mining operations have been continuining with little pause... and abetted by the Light Spirit for purposes unknown. Yhe Academy wishes to know the state of the world through your eyes."
<DeathStar> 6* The three glance at each other, before Kalam peers back. "That is a high charge to raise against the Great Light Spirit."
<Nyaomi> 6Vyvy sulks a little, not one hundred percent on why Harold and people seem to be giving her the stinkeye
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "And not one I make lightly, given my own bloodline. I do not know if the Light Spirit acts on her own will or is beign manipulated, but there are those who feel that the world is in danger."
<DeathStar> <Kalem> I am not sure what we can tell you. We are simply summoners. Our order trains summoners to harness their abilities and to use it properly. And to hunt down rogue summoners so they cannot spirits. 6* She peers at Vyvy briefly as she speaks. "Our order is devoted to the preserving the knowledge of Spirits, Great and Lesser, though. Perhaps there is something in our tomes about controlling or manipulating a Great Spirit, but I don't think I ever heard of such. If you want, we can find someone who has passed the Great Light Spirit's trials and summon a version of Aska here to speak with."

<DeathStar> <Kalem> A summoner never summons a true version of the Great Spirit. No summoner has that ability
<Nyaomi> 6Vyvy peers to the side sheepishly

<Seraphna> * Alita tilts her head. "Do they lack it because it is impossible or because it is taboo?"
<DeathStar> <Kalem> Imagine if you could summon the true form of a Great Spirit, taking them from their job of maintaining the world.
<DeathStar> <Kalem> And you had hundreds of Summoners out there
<DeathStar> <Kalem> From what tomes we do have, the false mirror form rejoins the Great Spirit after they dissolve, and the Great Spirit learns all that occurred afterward.
<DeathStar> 6* Kalem rises. "Typically you only meet the Great Spirit during the trials and make the pact."
<Seraphna> * Alita nods a little. "Out of curiosity, do the mirrors ever act and speak with the personality of the true?"
<DeathStar> 6* Kalen whispers with her two compatriots, likely volunteering to take them to the tomes to do their research, and moves along, gliding, wearing what looks to be silk robes unlock the summoners outside. She strolls along, her hair dark black with the white streak through it

<DeathStar> <Kalem> There have been many reports that the mirror forms change attitudes based on the summoners.
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *bows her head and ponders* "I shall take your option under consideration. The role of Aska in this is ultimately only a detail. Either way, the Kumen mining activity is happening and we must understand the effects of this activity."
<DeathStar> 6* She walks for the library, peering at Vyvy as she walks, no doubt sensing her strong summoning powers and knowing she has never been to their order
<Seraphna> * Alita nods a little musing on that. "Yes... we're concerned with how the activity may be affecting the spirits."
<Nyaomi> 6Vyvy rubs her head and remains quiet
<DeathStar> <Kalem> You are claiming the royal family is behind this and they are the ones who sit on the shrine of the Great Spirit Aska, where her true form lies
<Sara> * Liana frowns a bit...
<DeathStar> <Kalem> It is somewhat unorthadox
<DeathStar> 6* She moves along, strolling past various hallways, and young and old voices can be heard down them - no doubt dormitories and classrooms
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "And the situation causes me great distress."
<DeathStar> 6* Gwen follows, patting Vyvy's head
<DeathStar> 6* Finally, after moving down to the basement, where a firepits warms the floor, and unlocking a door, Kumen pushes the door open. Torches line the walls, providing light, and an old librarian peers up.

<DeathStar> <Kumen> The tomes here are kept even from the students in training.

<Sara> * Liana looks around, looking less bright than usual as she thinks about everything

<Seraphna> Alita> "Research is one of my stronger suits... though I also have my ways in getting information from others."
<DeathStar> 6* The librarian seems hard of hearing, reading an old tome
<Seraphna> Alita> "So whatever Sasha wishes me to do."
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "We'll focus on the research here for now. There is alot of ground to cover. I'd rather be more informed when we speak to the Summoni next."
<DeathStar> <Gwen> I would not mind seeing some of the summoners actually summon a few Great Spirits
<DeathStar> <Gwen> Before we go

<Seraphna> Alita> "Vyvy might benefit from talking to the summoners, getting to know more about her craft."
<DeathStar> 6* Gwen pulls out Grandfather Windrunner's books. "Void is the Spiritualist's Summon. I wonder why Void."
<Sara> <Liana> I suppose it would be worth the... context? *she says after searching for a word*
<Nyaomi> <Vyvy> Yes, but I've been getting looks like I'm not welcome.
<DeathStar> <Gwen> I noticed that. You think they would be interested in a fellow summoner like Vyvy
<Sara> <Liana> They might feel you're against what they stand for?
<DeathStar> <Gwen> I thought for a moment there Kalam was going to eye me
<Seraphna> Alita> "You weren't trained by them, they've stated they work hunting out rogues."
<Seraphna> Alita> "They may assume you
<Seraphna> Alita> "They may assume you're one. Which... is odd."
<DeathStar> <Gwen> Ah, that's true. Vyvy never trained here, did she?
<Seraphna> Alita> "Doesn't the Summoni have representatives in the Tamae?"
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "With that in mind, I would advise you refrain from all summing magicks, Vyvy, while we are here."
<AquaKoala> Commodus> You're a summoner who is not of their order.
<DeathStar> <Gwen> That must be why Harold told us to remind people she is in the Academy. That must be a protection
<DeathStar> <Gwen> Maybe I should turn into my female counter part. 6* He muses, thinking on what his speciality is
<Seraphna> Alita> "It is. A rather universal one at that."
<Seraphna> Alita> "You can do it at will now?"
<DeathStar> <Gwen> Nope
<Seraphna> Alita> "Then maybe we should find Kito and get more of that herbal substance."
<DeathStar> 6* Gwen moves along, eyeing the books
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Kito will be in our lodgings, so later."
<AquaKoala> *Commodus is gathering books for them
<DeathStar> 6* There is an index to look up subjects, to make things easier. And you have the library guy
<Sara> * Liana looks around, trying to figure out how she can best help
<Nyaomi> <Vyvy> Yes ma'am...

<Jackieness> <Sasha> "An excellent question. Books about how the spirits relate to Geyze."
<Seraphna> Alita> "Communicating with Summons, Swaying a Summon's opinions, possession... coercion?"
<DeathStar> 6* Gwen looks up that and eyes Sasha
<DeathStar> <Gwen> You might want to redefine that
<Sara> <Liana> I feel like it would be good to learn more about the whole concept of summoning a Great Spirit in the first place, too...

<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Hmmmm... we need to narrow it then?"
<Seraphna> Alita> "By a lot."

<DeathStar> <Gwen> Why not bring in an actual spirit to talk to us
<Seraphna> Alita> "Perhaps we need books on the Light Spirit herself and her history,we need something about commanding or guiding summons too."

<Seraphna> Alita> "Yes, you're also very pretty."
<DeathStar> 6* The Summoni have a lot of books on them too

<DeathStar> 6* The stacks Commodus is bringing back are growing
<Nyaomi> <Vyvy> But I like to speak to them-- it's like I'm being cut off
<Seraphna> * Alita gently taps her nose. "You are. Now let's head to the back... is Commodus really trying to get them all?"
<DeathStar> 6* It seems they enjoy writing about themselves. However, by peer luck one of them could be a hidden tome
<Sara> <Liana> Being cut off from something you care about sucks... unfortunately we all have to deal with it sometimes.
<kalonZombie> 6*Ceilia burns two points of luck looking for the tome
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Wait..." *approaches the librarian*
<Seraphna> Alita> "Something is stuttering your powers?"
<AquaKoala> *Commodus finally sits with another load, "Weay be here for awhile"

<DeathStar> 6* That night, after reading books, and learning that spirits are connected to life, and killing too many kills a world, and that it seems the more Great Spirits are located on a world, the more vibrant/alive it is theorists believe, as well as the fact Aska is known to a very hard spirit to see, as well as Shade, since Light/Dark/Void powers are some of the hardest to attain (since you unlock those later in life) not many know a lot about her. Only higher summoners ever make the trip, and never rogue summoners due to the Summoni's efforts
<DeathStar> 6* Aska is known to focus on spirits only. She is always very strict, in no matter form she is summoned and no nonsense. There has been only a few reports of her being open and friendly, and tsundereish, according to summoners and it is not known what caused it. Since the last few Empresses she has not acted that way again

<Nyaomi> <Vyvy> No offense, Sasha, but it ... kind of seems like your family pissed her off somehow
<DeathStar> 6* The Summoni order is devoted to gathering summoner relics and people with the talent, and encouraging their abilities, and the books on them always put them in a good light - likely they would destroy any bad books
<DeathStar> 6* Gwen sits back since it's night, putting the books they got in a bag to carry up to read more

<AquaKoala> Commodus> Perhaps you should look into training Vyvy

<DeathStar> <Gwen> The few who manage to crack her shell report she can very shy and kind, though she seems to be ignorant of a lot for a spirit who knows of everything going on about the world. It is unknown if this is due to her being a mirror image and not the real Shade, or a reflection of her real self
<DeathStar> <Gwen> Sounds like she has a bit in common with Aska
<DeathStar> 6* He tosses the book down
<Nyaomi> <Vyvy> Master says Aska is... unconcerned with anything but the spirits and their well-being.
