Especially a particular employee among them and that they might be making moves on the business soon. So far she has not been able to get into the business at long distance due to protection, and how severs are set up between levels, needing to get in closer

<DeathStar> <Asarar> If we are going to go independent like the group wanted with the call for NetRunners, we need to deny the Corporations key assets

<Seraphna> * Luci nods a little, fixing her skirt and sitting back. "So do we pay someone off or have Otto pretend to be a fauna again?"
<Sara> <Chelsea> Most likely, yeah...
<DeathStar> <Asarar> True, but unlikely we can. R ight now the Corporations seem to be aflutter. We aren't establish enough to tell what is what. I think that Ani-Mon, Macross, and a few others might be looking at this business, in addition to BioTech
<Sara> <Chelsea> That's a lot of interested parties.
<DeathStar> <Asarar> Macross right now has the other Corporations calling for their own NetRunners too from what I can
<DeathStar> <Asarar> We might be looking at another NetRunner war if MAcross isn't bluffing
<Jackieness> <Kira> "Whatever is going on must be seriously hot."
<DeathStar> 6* Asarar rises, adjusting her suit. "Right now I want to look at their server and that means getting near the business, finding a way into their servers, even if it means getting under the building."

<Seraphna> * Luci bites her lower lip. Then sighs. "Could be our famous last words too."

<Seraphna> Luci> "Oh babe, you know I'd never do that on purpose."
<Sara> * Chelsea looks between the two with a raised eyebrow. And pets her cat Bonbon.

<Sara> * Chelsea shrugs. "Let's go, Bonbon." she says as she gets up to follow

<DeathStar> 6* Asarar walks through the crowded first floor, where people are watching the singers perform and are in their seats with drinks. Barry nods at them from the bar, pouring drinks as Asarar moves toward the doors, peering and jerking a little at a certain detective sitting in his booth, facing them
<Seraphna> * LUci leans in and whispers. "I think he was waiting for us."
<Jackieness> <Kira> *places her hand on Asarar's shoulder* "He doesn't have cause."
<Sara> * Chelsea pets Bonbon as she looks on with an unreadable expression

<DeathStar> 6* Posco sips from his cup, eyeing them all, sitting in Wolfe's booth
<DeathStar> 6* Asarar walks on and moves for the door as Posco watches them, taking a note in his datareader in his head

<Sara> * Chelsea follows
<Seraphna> * LUci follows her, hopping into the van and taking the driver's seat.
<DeathStar> 6* As they walk along the ruined streets, people standing around the streets, pimps offering their women cheaper than the various sex clubs that are known for their safety - to the customers that is, and entertain and dance clubs, and people standing near fire barrels in the alleys out of sight of the main roads for selling bodies for coin, Asarar enters their hidden garage. She pauses, noting Corporate vehicles driving by, various Corporate logos on certain ones that pass now and again, going various away.

<DeathStar> <Asarar> Then again, no cameras really work here. They might not know yt
<Seraphna> * Luci looks back after getting in the seat. "Hmm."
<DeathStar> 6* The rain falls today like every day in Quad 5, just not toxic in Quad 5 like most due to the body of water absorbing it and Asarar slides in
<Jackieness> <Kira> "It depends on what they are doing here..."
<Seraphna> Luci> "Where to boss?"
<Sara> * Chelsea hops in, no idea if Bonbon is still with her or slipped away at some point
<Jackieness> <Kira> *climbs in* "Any chatter on the conspiracy channels? They would eat this all up."

<DeathStar> 6* Asarar drives to the monorail for now, and hides it once there, moving out into the rain and onto it. Once she sits, she eyes her data-reader in her hand, cracked so she can move between sectors without the fields between quads and levels flagging her

<DeathStar> 6* Posco discreetly follows the group in his Police vehicle
<Sara> * Chelsea glances back
<Seraphna> * Luci burns a point of perception to notice him.
<DeathStar> <Asarar> No one's really commenting and I can't do well on my data-reader.

<DeathStar> <Asarar> It's not like there's a network relaly in the slums

<DeathStar> 6* The monorail beeps to indicate it's closing and about to move. Posco moves up the stairs slowly, looking to try to get in a second car

<DeathStar> 6* Posco looks around at the sound, blinking but not spotting said shadow, then resumes talking - the shadow likely hearing a bit

<DeathStar> 6* The monorail passes the scanners and ends up in Quad 4. Asarar leads them out, and walks over to stairs going up to middle section, walking up them

<DeathStar> <Asarar> I have no idea until we get in the system.
<Seraphna> * Luci heads out with the rest, fixing her dress, her gear tucked away for now.

<DeathStar> 6* BonBon sniffs the other cart curiously. Posco follows at a distance, huffing and puffing, putting his flask away. He eyes the huge stairs going upward - due to how huge the slums are, there can be buildings with 90 floors

<DeathStar> 6* He pauses, then walks off, figuring he can lie to his employers

<DeathStar> 6* She keeps walking
<DeathStar> 6* Posco writes down in his data-reader they are NetRunners and calls it a day, moving for a bar
<Seraphna> Luci> "Like anything, there's an art to it I guess."
<Sara> <Chelsea> We lost our shadow. *she observes*
<Chain> 6*his second shadow breaks away from him for now and moves to join up with the others
<Jackieness> <Kira> "That worries me actually. It means he likely got soemthing on us."
<Seraphna> Luci> "Fatty didn't wanna take the stairs. We now know his weakness. That and ham sandwiches."
<DeathStar> 6* They walk up the stairs in a blocked off sealed area, imagine being in the FF7 Shin-Ra space, for ages
<Seraphna> Luci> "Maybe he got something on us, or got enough to make up something so he didn't have to work too hard. I'm hoping we have a lazy cop on our hands." *she mutters softly*
<DeathStar> 6* After walking for a good 20 minutes up vertically, they emerge on the middle class where the area has a ton of clinics and middle house homes, with nice designs for shopping, but with Nue-Age being so famous it is standard needs only. This looks like a doctor's retirement home area with clinics and some mild business for research, with the top side being the hard medical research
<DeathStar> 6* Large beautiful hospitals are nearby to treat all the Quads, and people move about in perfect health. This Quad rakes in tons of coin treating all the injured on the planet and having enough experience to do so
<DeathStar> 6* There are even little shops selling herbals and medicines in wrapped cloths. Asarar walks along, peering about, noticing they get some looks for their clothing - thankfully with her club money she can smell good unlike most slum people.
<Jackieness> <Kira> "Better than the bottom level... its hell down there."

<Seraphna> * Luci fixes her dress, wearing a Nue brand one.
<DeathStar> <Asarar> The business is right up ahead. 6* She stops at FaunLife, a medium sized facility, with guards at the glass doors, blast proof windows all around that lets one see into the facility's two floors. It's the size of a small football field. Asarar turns behind them
<Chain> 6*Wolfe plops down, panting, tongue lulled against his jaw, so tired
<DeathStar> 6* BonBon leaps on Wolfe, the blue cat sinking into his fur and kneading like it belongs there - ending up on Wolfe a lot.
<Sara> * Chelsea blinks, looking at Wolfe and BonBon
<DeathStar> 6* Asarar pets Wolfe, giving him some water from a nearby fountain, then motions at the others to fan him as she looks around - her suit drying already from Quad 5's rain. She looks around with her data-reader
<Chain> 6*Wolfe give a dog like whine
<Sara> * Chelsea tries to help Wolfe cool off, fanning him
<Seraphna> * Luci pulls out an oriental style hand fan and fans him.
<DeathStar> 6* After a bit, she finds a small grate in the well kept roads and tries to lift it up to slide under the main road
<DeathStar> <Asarar> Some help?
<Seraphna> * Luci walks over and moves to help her.
<Sara> * Chelsea stays with Wolfe and BonBon, making sure Wolfe will be okay
<Chain> 6*Wolfe shakes his body after cooling down and pads over to Asarar
<Sara> * Chelsea follows imh
<DeathStar> <Asarar> I just need to lift this tiny grate to get under. There's liable to be a connection to the server under the building so I can get into the system\
<Sara> * Chelsea tries to lift it, though she's only a little stronger than Asarar
<Seraphna> * Luci keeps helping Asarar.
<Chain> 6*Wolfe gives a hot snort from his muzzle and wiggles in to help
<DeathStar> 6* The grate groans and lifts up, coming undone with a pop. Asarar then shimmies under into where the water flows down and looks around, her purple eyes blinking a bit as she walks in the direction of the building

<Sara> * Chelsea slips in behind her, wanting to be sure Asarar isn't alone down there
<Sara> * Being rather comfy in such small spaces by now
<Chain> 6*Wolfe eases into the narrow space easier in his compact size
<DeathStar> 6* Asarar nods to the two, moving along the rather clean water area, not quite sewers and gets under the building after a bit, moving to look for wiring and soon gets into a server connection with little difficulty, using it to connect to her data-reader in her palm
<DeathStar> <Asarar> Lets see the server defenses
<Sara> * Chelsea keeps a watch on one side of Asarar
<Seraphna> * Luci keeps watch, presumably with the silent and stalwart Kira.

<DeathStar> <Asarar> Alright, working my way in. Hopefully I can avoid being seen by their star pupil
<DeathStar> 6* She brings up the map
<DeathStar> 6* Showing it to everyone, squinting at a strange room that looks to be rather closed off and sealed
<Sara> * Chelsea squints too, looking for any possible secondary point of access such as vents
<DeathStar> 6* There's the front door, a back door, there appears to be two skylights, and there's a excess dump point for "waste materials" into the water ways near here. The waster materials they can guess at
<DeathStar> 6* The lab seems to have a lot of cameras active around it, yet near the waster material entrance there's a few shut off for maintaince
<Sara> <Chelsea> This entrance looks the least guarded *she points at the waste excusion point* ...but I'm not too sure about it. Or we could try to get in from above, the 'classic way', but...
<DeathStar> 6* And the second floor has an area for live subjects and a second room with many cameras around it, as well as an electric field for mod testing and live testing
<DeathStar> <Asarar> Yeah, but we can't see the guard patrols with this. Each level I go in, the more detection I will trip
<DeathStar> <Asarar> Once inside I can try to hit the cameras
<Chain> 6*Wolfe looks about for underground wires, sniffing occassionally
<DeathStar> 6* The underground tunnel seems to have no defenses so far, like they never assume anyone would come down here
<DeathStar> 6* Asarar begins to plug out for now. "Lets go for the waste materials."
<Seraphna> * Luci taps her comms a bit to listen in case Asarar signals for help.
<DeathStar> 6* ASarar moves further down, stepping along and takes a left, then a right, pausing and covering her face
<DeathStar> 6* She steps back and leans forward as if vomit
<Sara> * Chelsea holds her nose as she walks, coming up right behind Asarar
<DeathStar> 6* On the ground is discarded fauna that are barely a few days, weeks, or months old, in various states - chemicals have been poured on them to make them decay faster with little smell, in a large container to keep it from oozing too far, but its clear they have been illegally dumped in a way they should never have been with little regard. The waste dump entrance is sealed tightly, and Asarar makes no move toward the entrance to try to peel back the controls to force it open

<Chain> 6*Wolfe looks at the small remains before treading forward despite it, a low growl rumbling in his chest
<DeathStar> 6* Asarar shakes a little, her purple eyes glowing slightly as her clenches her gloved fists. BonBon has retreatd back to Chelsea, quiet, peering at the bodies like no cat should
<DeathStar> 6* The access doors mysteriously open
<Sara> * Chelsea jumps slightly, though not disturbing BonBon's position
<DeathStar> 6* Asarar peers up, calmer and moves, stepping on the edge of the container, and grabbing the access door and pulling herself up
<Chain> 6*Wolfe tries to access the way through waste anyway
<Seraphna> * Luci leaves the valiant Kira to guard the entrance and heads after the others.

<DeathStar> 6* Asarar climbs up the chute, using the spidery crawl as best she can, the sides slick as she moves up
<Sara> * Chelsea pets BonBon reassuringly before starting to slowly, reluctantly follow after Asarar, trying her best not to breathe in the smell more than necessary
<Seraphna> * Luci having been listening switched into her tactical gear, shimmying the way they went. Choosing not to breath.

<DeathStar> 6* She reaches the top and pulls herself up into a first floor area with a lab nearby, as well as the sealed area that Asarar mentioned further down the hallway, with guards around the door, not facing them. The lab's cameras are turned off thankfully
<DeathStar> 6* Asarar rolls out of sight just in case the guards turn, pressing against a wall
<Sara> * Chelsea does similarly, sticking in the shadows as best she can
<Chain> 6*Wolfe slinks away as well
<DeathStar> 6* Asarar Remote Hack Lv 1s the Lab Door since it's closest, and once it enters, runs in after making sure the guards down the long hallway are still facing away. She pauses once entering the lab, as three scientists look up - on the lab table are three young faunas, around 4 months old, hooked up to wires and having needles stuck in, with rays being induced into them as they are experimented on
<DeathStar> 6* The scientists react in surprise, one reaching for a red button on the wall, the other two staring like deeretards
<Stretch> 6Tippity tap go the fingers across a terminal keyboard, the eyes shooting between several different displays as lines of code seemingly fill in through the various commands. The finger hits enter, and on one of the monitors a popup shows a progress indicator filling in steadily. Once the line fills, a small smile will spread across the programmers face as the indicators on guards radio's stop

<Sara> * Chelsea moves to stop the scientist who's going for the button, her daggers at ready, waving her finger in a 'tsk tsk' motion
<Seraphna> * Luci pulls herself out after the rest and moves carefully to follow them. She eyes the scientist reaching and rushes him, forming her Armor (Armor transformation Lv. 2)
<DeathStar> 6* The scientist gulps at the two, hands raised fearfully, while Asarar slaps one of the other two into unconsciousness
<Jackieness> <Kira> *slips into the lab*
<DeathStar> 6* The three faunas watch them, faces in pain from the things in them - one a cat, one a dog, one a fox
<Seraphna> * Luci stops short and delivers a spinning punch to the other of the remaining two instead.
<Seraphna> * Luci aiming for a knockout
<DeathStar> 6* Their readings on the monitor indicate their brains are being experimented on to make them docile and obedient to whoever they serve - they are making a breed of fauna that are the perfect slave literally
<DeathStar> 6* The other scientist goes down
<DeathStar> 6* Asarar eyes the readings and realizes this partially a genetics lab, and why Quad 5 is interested in their process
<Seraphna> Luci> "...Another form of slavery, great."
<Chain> 6*Wolfe moves over to the table and uses his calming nurturing presense to ease the small ones into a calm
<DeathStar> <Asarar> I admit I don't know a lot about genetics, but ... *she grabs a sheet of paper* I think this, if they succeed, could be applied to other races with similiar DNA strings
<Jackieness> <Kira> "...there is nothing great or revolutionary about this."
<DeathStar> <Asarar> Aurit, Were, and human
<Seraphna> Luci> "Now that seriously pisses me off."
<Sara> * Chelsea keeps her eye on the remaining scientist, her dagger a bit away from his neck. "So... The question is... why?" She looks at him.
<Seraphna> Luci> "Power, the corps would love this."
<DeathStar> <Scientist> It's big business. With Biotects getting their freedom recently and having to rely on lesser models, it's a big hit in profits. If we could make a more docile fauna again, we could earn bigger bucks. Weed out the genetic blocks. We never knew it could be applied to other races until recently. Then that's when we started to get a lot of hits from the Cororations. Some we never thought would be interested
<DeathStar> 6* Asarar frowns, then eyes her data-reader and the computer, realizing the blocking of comms and ponders who is doing this and peers at the secured room, and moves to eye the hallway.
<DeathStar> <Asarar> I'm making my move on them. Wolfe, get the children out of those things - make him tell how
<DeathStar> <Asarar> Find out if there are more
<Sara> <Chelsea> You're playing with lives here. They might be manufactured lives, but they're still lives.
<DeathStar> 6* The three kids nod to Wolfe, relaxing as best as they can
<Sara> * Chelsea keeps her knife close to him. "How can we get the kids free?" She nods to Wolfe too.
<Seraphna> * Luci forms her shard blade, a wicked looking sword made from scraps of metal and narrows her eyes. "Cooperate with the man. He's the good cop."
<DeathStar> 6* The scientist, shaking and sweating buckets, tells them how to power down the machine and how to remove the wires
<DeathStar> 6* Asarar walks down the hallway as the guards look, touching their data-readers to call it in and aim their guns. Asarar rushes forward
<Chain> 6*Wolfe shifts from animal to human, doing as instructed before cradling the three small ones to him
<Seraphna> * Luci breaks into a rush with Asarar and activates her shield as she rushes in.
<DeathStar> 6* She takes a few shots, losing 3 HP that she eats up with durability then slashes with her cybre sabre, cutting at the weapons and attacking
<DeathStar> 6* The kids cry, telling how in the second floor, that there are more of their friends in Live Subjects
<DeathStar> <Scientist> C-Can I go now? I'm not even projectl ead
<Seraphna> * Luci uses Me First! (Negates an attack on others.) To take her damage for her. She then slashes out at the first available guard.
<Sara> <Chelsea> Say nothing to no one, and the Cat Burglar won't have to come for you. *she whispers to him softly* Just... get yourself out of this, if you know what's good for you.
<Sara> * She pulls her knives away from him
<DeathStar> 6* Asarar slashes at the second, and they drop, not having a lot of armor being normal guards, and Asarar then knocks her's out
<DeathStar> 6* The scientist runs
<DeathStar> 6* Asarar eyes the sealed door and pounds on it with her sabre. "Are you in there?"
<Seraphna> * Luci's first blade snaps and she dismisses it, summoning a second, using her shield to knock out the other two.
<Chain> <Wolfe> theres more of them on the second floor!
<Seraphna> (Using Lv. 2 this time.)
<Chain> 6*Wolfe holds the kids closer to him to sheild them
<DeathStar> 6* Asarar eyes the sealed computer chamber, then moves to walk back
<DeathStar> <Asarar> I guess kids come first before our mysterious computer person
<Seraphna> Luci> "COuld always try breaking down the door?"
<DeathStar> <Asarar> Might not endear ourselves upon them
<Seraphna> Luci> "Alright then."
<DeathStar> <Asarar> Plus they seem to have run of the complex in there
<Sara> * Chelsea moves on, coming up beside Asarar.
<Seraphna> * Luci keeps close to her in full on bodyguard mode.
<Stretch> 6The fingers begin tapping away once more, command prompts opening and closing in what looks like a random pattern; server access...administrative authority...research and development...genetics...delete? The Enter key once more as the door unlocks behind Asarar.
<Sara> <Chelsea> I could try to force it open but... I don't want anyone else to suffer.
<Jackieness> <Kira> "So if they have the run of the facility in there... could they... do... just that."
<DeathStar> 6* Asarar looks at the door opening, then looks at Wolfe
<Seraphna> * Luci pauses and looks around. "...Whoever it is isn't chatty, but cooperative."
<DeathStar> <Asarar> Wolfe, go get the kids, I'll find out who's inside
<DeathStar> 6* Asarar moves back

<Chain> 6*Wolfe hurries to the second level
<Sara> <Chelsea> I'm with Asarar. Luci, you might want to go with Wolfe.
<DeathStar> 6* Asarar walks back and opens the door
<Seraphna> * LUci raises a brow, but then moves after Wolfe.
<Stretch> 3"Strawberry ettiquette!" 6his fingers return to typing as his eyes glance once more at the varied screens.
<DeathStar> 6* The second level, the guards, unaware, walk about around the live subjects room, then across from that is the live testing and mod room, with the force field about it, which has many guards about it, four total. They eat sandwiches
<DeathStar> 6* Asarar peers inside as she opens the door

<Seraphna> * Luci eyes Wolfe to see what his lead is going to be.
<Sara> * Chelsea keeps herself in the shadows, one eye on Asarar.

<Stretch> 6Through the doorway is a darkened room lit by the glow of system monitors, a bed (cot really) is against the back wall, a portion of the sub-floor has been pulled up and a medium backpack sits in the open space. On the same wall as the door is a workbench, a fox fauna perched in the chair as he types in line of code after line of code.3 "temple zero zero speculum."

<Stretch> 6The monitor shows the local server archives, in particular the data that has gone into the research being conducted on the fauna here. He looks at Chel, his forehead furrowing in confusion a bit, then his eyes get big as he spots something in particular; 3"wankers..."

<DeathStar> 6* There are cots set up like bunk beds and the fauna are laying on them and peering over curiously as the scientists monitor them, and give them vitamins

<Seraphna> Luci> "The rescue squad." *she says, noting how calm they are*

<Stretch> 6He nods as he looks back to Asa, 3"watermellon." 6His eyes were on Chelsea's tails before he looked to her. He'll turn in the chair and seem to scramble to grab ahold of the pack in the floor and hoist it onto his shoulder, 3"Sampson waterloo."

<DeathStar> 6* As Wolfe moves for the live testing, the four guards drop their sandwiches and rise, fumbling for their guns. The head scientist doesn't bother to look up, busy
<Seraphna> * Luci frowns and bursts forward with her sword, giving the scientist the choice of pulling his hand back or losing it as she swings.

<Seraphna> * Luci twists and points the sword at him. She growls a little. "You're getting off damn lucky." *she turns her blade and tries to knock him out with a blow*

<DeathStar> 6* The scientist falls over. Scientist 2 in the room with the 30 fauna gulps, ahnds them the keys to leave and the faunas food and vietamins and runs off
<DeathStar> 6* The 3 scientists doing circles leap at Kira

<Seraphna> * Luci takes them, and as he moves to run, she knocks him in the back of the head to knock him out. "Sorry, but I don't need more guards."

<Jackieness> <Kira> *uses Ninpo to move behind one of the guards and aims a strike at his head*
<DeathStar> <Head Scientist> What do you think you're doing. I am in the middle of surgery! 6* He tells Wolfe as he disconnects the two not opened up. The four guards aim their guns at Wolfe's back
<Seraphna> * Luci looks over the kids. "I'm taking you out of here. You're not property anymore."
<DeathStar> 6* Kira knocks out one guard, and sends them flying into two other guards causing a big cluttermess. Asarar arrives to watch the three fall down and get stuck
<DeathStar> 6* The fauna peer at eahc other, then Luci. The ones with mods in their heads do not move at all, just sit there peacefully obedient
<Seraphna> * Luci sighs and moves over to them. "Up, you will follow me."
<Jackieness> <Kira> "Wolfe needs an assist!" *moves to help Wolfe before he gets bushwhacked*

<Seraphna> * Luci starts to lead the kids out, peering out of the doorway for more guards then down towards the others. "I have keys."
<DeathStar> <Head Scientist> And why would I do that - kill this man. 6* He says as Guards 1 - 3 try to decide who to fire at. Guard 1 fires at Wolfe, Guard 2 aims at Asarar and fires, and Guard 3 says fuck it and runs
<Stretch> 6He scurries over to the workbench, hitting Enter one more time before following after Chelsea...a small grin on his face as his bushy tail moves around his side and he takes hold of it like a precious commodity.

<Seraphna> * Luci holds up a hand to command the kids to halt as she sees the fight breaking out, keeping close to guard them from stray fire.
