<DeathStar> 6* Asarar gathers her paperwork at the hotel, Otto working security at the Mod Palace as it's being dismantled. She frowns, all her leads being cut off right now in regards to the hat girl, sighing at the difference between the top and bottom
<Mykel> 6Jelly is still working on the coding for the desktop sized full view holo-display.
<kalonZombie> 6*Max has finally arrived. What has he been doing? Whooooo knooooows.
<Seraphna> * Luci sits with a cup of tea, yawning a bit.
<Sara> * Chelsea is sitting near Asarar, having been getting petted
<DeathStar> <Asarar> *eyes a light* It looks like what we want has finally come. Macross wants to talk to us to see if it'll keep us on after buying out Mod Paradise
<kalonZombie> 6*Max sits next to Luci. Or under her. Maybe she's using his lap.
<DeathStar> 6* Asarar stands up, adjusting her suit and checking her data-reader one more time.
<Jackieness> <Kira> *is laying on the bed in her undergarments and then sits up* "So what is the game plan?"
<DeathStar> <Asarar> *glances at Kira* I guess look our most professional and scary and see if we can get our foot in the door
<Seraphna> * Luci gets off her tiger chair and grabs her going out gear.
<Sara> * Chelsea looks up, wearing baggy sweats with her plushie in hand. Totally professional and scary.
<Jackieness> <Kira> *rolls off the bed and stands up* "Hoe much time before the meetup?"
<kalonZombie> 6*Max grabs his gear as well
<DeathStar> 6* Asarar checks her data-reader again, having cracked it so no one can read her screen, her eyes glowing purple, the data going straight there
<DeathStar> <Asarar> 2 hours. It'll take a bit of time to go to the top district, which is where we have been invited
<Sara> <Chelsea> The top district... *she looks up at the ceiling*
<Jackieness> <Kira> "Enough time for a shower then." *moves into the bathroom*
<DeathStar> <Asarar> I'll get better dressed
<DeathStar> 6* Asarar moves into the closet to grab outfits

<DeathStar> 6* After an hour and 45 mins, the group arrives on an elevator from the middle district to the top district. Asarar wears a sexier suit and tie, her hair done up a bit, and wearing shades.
<kalonZombie> 6*Max is even dressed up. Likely Luci dressed him otherwise his idea of dressing up would be wearing what he normally does, but with his shirt tucked in.
<DeathStar> 6* She steps out and glances around at the real sky, taking it in, having not seen it since the Aquarius launch in this Quad, and moves along, heading for the fancy resturant they are doing their meeting in, walking along past living trees and vehicles driving by, all the drivers in the hovercars or ground cars having personal drivers
<Sara> * Chelsea is wearing the top from her bottom profile picture but buttoned up, and with longer pants -- looking the fanciest she ever has
<Seraphna> * Luci is wearing a more flattering work outfit, finer make with gloves over her hands and her gear hidden better. Some of her best Nue-Age brand clothes.
<Jackieness> <Kira> *is wearing a long coat over a glossy catsuit, mirrored shades covering her eyes. Her hands are stuffed down her coat's pockets.
<DeathStar> 6* As they arrive at the resturant, it being two stories and having a fancy atmosphere, the bouncer stops them until Asarar gives her group's name and waves them in. As they enter, low music plays and the lighting is dimmed, with air conditioning. Everyone is dressed casually and sitting at tables and a perky Fox Fauna leads them to their table. They are led to a booth with the an a man in a suit, with gray hair. He blinks a little at them, peering slowly at Kira, then even longer as Asarar, then holds waves them to sit, since there's too many to shake their hands
<DeathStar> <Man> I'm Albert Ling. I'm one of Mister Terran's top lieutenants so to say. I'm here to evalulate your place in the company. 6* He says matter of factly. Asarar slides into the booth facing him
<kalonZombie> 6*Max pulls a chair out for Luci. Like a gentlemanly boss.
<Seraphna> * Luci bows and then sits after Max gives her a seat. Likely they need chairs anyway instead of all cramming into a booth.
<kalonZombie> 6*Max slides the chair in for her and then sits next to her.
<DeathStar> 6* It's a huge booth, that is circular, made for business meetings
<kalonZombie> 6*Well then Max simply slides in after Luci.
<Jackieness> <Kira> *slides into the booth, not taking off her shades*
<DeathStar> <Albert Ling> That everyone? Good. *he taps a button and a privacy curtain falls, and the booth darkens so no one can see inside except the waitress when she comes to get their orders. Asarar orders a light drink and light food
<Sara> * Chelsea sits as close to Asarar as she can
<Seraphna> * Luci orders a simple meat dish and a Sunspot.
<DeathStar> <Albert> Well, now that your old boss is out of business, we have to find a place for you. We have a lot of good NetRunners on our payroll, so we need to figure out what to do with you. *he looks at Asarar's fake history* You look to be pretty good, but honestly. *He speaks seriously* I can't verify all this
<DeathStar> 6* Albert looks up with cunning eyes.
<kalonZombie> 6*Max orders a raw steak. And a sunspot.

<Seraphna> Luci> "If we weren't worth it, you would be able to verify all of it."
<DeathStar> 6* Albert smiles a little at Luci, and taps the paperwork. "You want to know my theory?"
<DeathStar> 6* Asarar leans in, smiling charmingly after the drinks are set down. "What is that?"
<DeathStar> 6* Albert takes his drink, sipping it slowly, before setting it down. "Your hiding your real identity. Not sure if the Cypher name is real or not. You attached yourselves to Paradise right before we bought it up because you wanted to play with the big boys and you know no one is bigger than Macross right now, but you know you have no history. That or your history is bad and you wanted to start new. You just didn't count on someone like me having the connections that I do to break your little facade." 6* He notes. So far he hasn't offered proof that he's really gotten all this.
<DeathStar> <Albert> However. I'll make you a deal
<Seraphna> * Luci keeps a straight face, feeling it may be a bluff.
<kalonZombie> 6*As does Max. His Poker face is excellent.
<DeathStar> <Asarar> And what is that.
<Sara> * Chelsea just looks cute.
<DeathStar> <Albert> My word is what gets you into the company as NetRunners. And at what level. You want in, you do a job for me - I'll put it down as the test for the corporation. There's a job that the corporation has wanted to do for a while but had no one available to do it. You get the item, I get the credit, you get the position you want. We're all happy
<DeathStar> 6* Albert finishes his drink as the food is served

<kalonZombie> 6*Max eats his. While he keeps a straight face, Luci can feel through the bond he's in heaven with the steak.
<DeathStar> 6* Asarar glances at Kira out of the corner of her eye
<Sara> * Chelsea nibbles at hers, somewhat carefully
<Jackieness> <Kira> *corner of her lip flicks up* "After dinner then."
<DeathStar> <Albert> You want time to think about it, go ahead. But if you turn me down, or go around me to another Lieutenant, it won't go pretty. 6* He sets his number down, likely a one time use number.

<DeathStar> 6* He steps out
<Jackieness> <Kira> *glances around and then presses a finger to her lips*
<Sara> * Chelsea frowns
<Jackieness> <Kira> *then starts to have her meal*
<DeathStar> 6* Asarar finishes the meal and drink, leaving a tip of coins and rises to go, walking out. The waitress waves at them and Asarar steps back out into the fresh air, breathing it in
<Seraphna> * Luci finishes up and follows her quietly.

<Sara> * Chelsea also follows
<DeathStar> <Asarar> The air is so nice here
<Seraphna> Luci> "Yeah."
<kalonZombie> <Max> Yup.
<DeathStar> 6* Asarar walks along, hands in pocket, casually moving away
<Jackieness> <Kira> *heads out with the others* "ASsume that any place chosen by the one you are negotiating with is hostile ground."
<Sara> * Chelsea nods. Hence her barely eating
<DeathStar> <Asarar> So the question is, do we take the deal or do we walk away
<DeathStar> 6* Asarar reachest the elevator
<Jackieness> <Kira> "When we get back to the hotel, do a sweep for bugs."
<Seraphna> Luci> "I think we're going to have to if we want in. And we were going to have to no matter what. It was just bad luck we got assigned a recruiter that wants to profit off the teams he brings in."
<kalonZombie> <Max> Seems like typical suit tactics to me, though. Either way I say we take it.
<DeathStar> <Asarar> If there's bugs on us, I'll be surprised
<Sara> <Chelsea> I'd take it but I'd ignore any allegations about our identities or credentials. Just ignore outright, like.
<Jackieness> <Kira> "I mean in the room."
<DeathStar> <Asarar> The hotel? The place is locked down and no way they got in past the defenses
<DeathStar> <AsaraR> Plus with the fake address in the middle distract they don't know where we are yet
<DeathStar> 6* Asarar moves down to the middle distract

<Jackieness> <Kira> "Never hurts to be cautious."
<DeathStar> <Asarar> I'll make the call when we go the apartments. I'll sweep there though. That place isn't fortified.

<DeathStar> 6* Asarar sits in the room, after making the call and getting a new number to call after the job. She frowns, musing and uses her equipment, enterign a museum on the top district
<Jackieness> <Kira> "And the job?"
<Seraphna> * Luci muses a bit, looking curious. "Yeah, what is it exactly?"
<DeathStar> <Asarar> There's a museum in Quad 1, the Geyze Artifact Museum. Apparantly various artifacts have been recovered, or given, to Kumen over the years. There's a particular artifact he wants us to get, that the Macross Corporation is after
<DeathStar> <Asarar> Wouldn't say why - not sure if they want it, or they plan to sell it back. It's some sort of Dagger of Dra.
<kalonZombie> <Max> ...Should I feel stupid for not knowing who Dra is?
<Seraphna> Luci> "Sounds like half a dragon."
<DeathStar> <Asarar> *she opens the site on the pages on the Server, and tries to look at the various displays on the two main floors, the third floor closed off to the public* It's not listed, but he claims it's there
<Jackieness> <Kira> "Probably in storage. Museum has more crap than they have exhibition space."
<Sara> <Chelsea> Do we know anything about this dagger?
<DeathStar> <Asarar> I need to hack the floor plans or find them. Lets go to the place tonight and scope it out
<DeathStar> 6* Asarar eyes the website and their various exhibits. "I don't know. They go on about a lot of things but I see nothing else about Dra here."
<Jackieness> <Kira> "Do we have a timeline on this?"
<DeathStar> <Asarar> He gave us two days and two nights. To test us
<Jackieness> <Kira> "...ass."
<DeathStar> 6* Asarar peers at everyone. "Get sleep everyone, we head out at night. Real night for once."
<kalonZombie> 6*Max nods
<Seraphna> * Luci nods and heads for her room, yawning.
<kalonZombie> 6*Max follows her

<DeathStar> 6* Asarar creeps along the buildings, the reach apartments and complexes, mansions seen as she moves. Maid faunas move about, doing last minute shopping for their rich masters up here
<DeathStar> 6* Asarar lands near the museum and peers up, spotting the Macross HQ Building, one of 15 main buildings that rise up gloriously high. She squints, her purple eyes shining a little as she looks up, thinking she spots someone up there on the balcony looking down, but that would be impossible really to see so high up 60 stories, and moves on
<kalonZombie> 6*Max follows, sword and hammer on his back
<Seraphna> * Luci lands by her and keeps moving after her.
<Sara> * Chelsea follows, in her catsuit, with loose clothes over it, daggers securely hidden
<DeathStar> 6* Asarar lands on the museum roof, of the three story oval like building, not quite a circle. The skylight windows are sealed tighter than Sasha's sex on a winter day. She frowns, then looks down at the four entrances on the first floor. She muses where she can get access to a terminal for a map and runs her hand along the roof, stopping and eyes Max. "Can you damage the roof enough here to explose the wiring?"
<kalonZombie> 6*Max nods, taking his hammer out and starts carefully chipping away at the ceiling with it. Carefully. You can be careful with a maul, right?
<kalonZombie> 6*He'll use the hilt for preceision.
<DeathStar> 6* After 20 minutes or so, the wiring is finally exposed enough and Asarar sits down and uses her DataReader, hooking the wires into her hand
<DeathStar> 6* She uses her hacking mod Remote Hacking Lv.1 and finally gets the map, then pulls it up to each of their DataReaders
<Sara> * Chelsea looks at it
<Sara> <Chelsea> The storage room is on level 3... there's still some cameras though...
<Seraphna> * Luci looks it over.
<DeathStar> <Asarar> He also suggested we might want to grab items other than the dagger to make it look like we were robbers just so it didn't stand out what we were there for
<DeathStar> 6* Asarar disconnects for now. "Sadly this won't show us where the guards are."
<Jackieness> <Kira> "If we go tonight."
<Sara> <Chelsea> I'd expect more of them where there's less camera coverage -- that's what my experience is.
<Sara> <Chelsea> Places usually lean on them as a crutch -- though the most valuable stuff stays guarded.
<DeathStar> <Asarar> We can go tomorrow during the day and look around
<DeathStar> <Asarar> Get a feel for the place and look at the displays
<Seraphna> * Luci nods.
<Sara> <Chelsea> That would be smarter than going blind. We'd also know what our real targets should be.
<Jackieness> <Kira> "Exactly."
<kalonZombie> 6*Max nods
<DeathStar> <Asarar> Alright. Before we go back. 6* She eyes the skylights, testing them gently, seeing if there is an alarm and the strength
<DeathStar> <Asarar> Strong. This thing isn't budging easily
<DeathStar> <Asarar> Likely has been in place for ages
<Sara> <Chelsea> Tch. Break into enough skylights and they start reinforcing them, I guess.
<DeathStar> <Asarar> Must be why the third floor is no longer open to the public too
<Jackieness> <Kira> "Corporate sponsorship."
<DeathStar> <Asarar> Alright, lets go home.

<DeathStar> 6* The next day, Asarar is dressed in a pretty white, strapless dress. She walks along toward the museum
<kalonZombie> 6*Max walks along with Luci
<Sara> * Chelsea is, unusually, in one of the very few dresses she owns as she walks along near Asarar
<Seraphna> * Luci is in a pink sundress, showing plenty of skin while managing to keep the innocent look.
<kalonZombie> 6*Max is dressed in what he usually dresses in. But his shirt is tucked in!
<DeathStar> 6* As they move in the south doors, the cameras overhead seem to be on still. To the south right a guard sits in a chair, reading, near the stairs
<DeathStar> 6* The first floor is a huge open area with lots of reading displays and artwork of Geyze, scattered about and huge creature/monster displays instead of artifacts, or large artifacts that can only fit on the first floor, with part of the middle area opened up to the second floor and you can see people moving about, ala like a mall
<DeathStar> 6* The are three guards sitting in chairs in various spots on the first floor, likely not caring as much during the day. As Asarar walks, she spots a pink haired cat girl walking with a girl with a blue hair and blueish brown hair for a moment before they are out of sight. She tries to get them into her line of sight again but loses them, frowning
<DeathStar> <Asarar> .... *She turns back* I see nothing on the first floor of interest
<Jackieness> <Kira> *hands stuffed into pockets* "...you hesitated."
<DeathStar> <Asarar> It's...probably nothing. *she notes*
<Seraphna> * Luci eyes her a moment and looks around more herself.
<kalonZombie> 6*Max looks around
<DeathStar> 6* Asarar moves for the elevator, to see how long it takes to go up
<DeathStar> 6* Asarar rides up alone it seems
<Seraphna> * Luci follows unless she spots anything after burning a point of perception.
<DeathStar> 6* Luci learns more about monsters and creatures from Geyze. Knowledge gained
<DeathStar> 6* Asarar gets off on the second floor
<Sara> * Chelsea heads up to the second floor herself
<kalonZombie> 6*Max took the stairs. They were faster.
<Jackieness> <Kira> *heads up*
<DeathStar> 6* The stairs go all the way up to the third floor, the others would notice since the elevator went up, but they are barred with a key
<DeathStar> 6* Lock and key
<DeathStar> 6* Asarar eyes the three display items in the room she is, right to the left of the others that took the stairs
<DeathStar> 6* There is a legendary sword in a display, claiming to be The Sword of the Magi, and a "Flute of Sylph" next to it
<Sara> * Chelsea looks around, burning perception to see what might actually be of worth

<DeathStar> 6* Chelsea and the others would hae the three items in their room. One looks to be fake, called the Scale of the Purple Dragon

<Seraphna> * Luci peers at the other two items after joining the others.
<Jackieness> <Kira> "This scale thing looks so cheap."
<DeathStar> 6* The other two items in their room, one called Potion of Power and the other is called Shield of Reflection
<DeathStar> 6* Look real
<DeathStar> 6* Asarar follows, joining the others
<Seraphna> Luci> "Ever notice Geyze things are all "Of Somethings"?
<DeathStar> <Asarar> Lot of cameras in these rooms
<Jackieness> <Kira> "Bit melodramatic."
<DeathStar> 6* She heads north
<kalonZombie> 6*Max looks around on the top floor a bit
<DeathStar> 6* And is heard squeeing
<Seraphna> * Luci blinks and heads over to the squeeing
<Sara> * Chelsea does too, blinking
<Jackieness> <Kira> *follows the squee*
<DeathStar> 6* Asarar stands there to the north of the stairs and below the next elevator, staring at the left display, which has a fluffy creature in a display. A sign says: No tapping the case or freeing the creature. The fluffy creature with legs and ears peers at them, blinking cutely.
<Sara> * Chelsea looks to see if there's a name
<Seraphna> Luci> "It is... cute."
<DeathStar> 6* The create is called the Erea, and below it is nicknamed by the staff Fluffinato
<DeathStar> *nator
<DeathStar> 6* It looks lonely in the display case, but a camera is on it to prevent theft
<Seraphna> Luci> *frowns a little*
<DeathStar> 6* Asarar draws herself away, going up and left now, passing the upper right elevator
<DeathStar> 6* She moves to the top center, with a single display case and camera. In it is a ring
<DeathStar> 6* On the second floor, guards move in a circle, lazily. There's two chairs in the top left and bottom right that they sit after making their loop
<Seraphna> * Luci sighs a bit and follows.
<Sara> * Chelsea follows Asarar, then leans in and looks at the ring, as well as whatever label is there
<Jackieness> <Kira> "So what is this thing?"
<DeathStar> 6* The ring has a strange gem on the end, that is gray right now. The display reads: "Unknown magical ring. Claimed to deal with summons."
<Jackieness> <Kira> "...that's stupid."
<DeathStar> 6* Asarar shrugs, moving to the next display room and the case seems to hold a fake, likely someone stole it already and put a replica without anyone noticing, despite the camera on it
<Sara> <Chelsea> That's... slightly encouraging, really.
<Jackieness> <Kira> *gives Chelsea a pointed look*
<DeathStar> 6* The display reads: Salamander Armor
<Seraphna> Luci> "That's their Fire Goddess Spirit thing."
<DeathStar> 6* Asarar moves down and checks the middle left out and sees it has a onyx blade that seems to suck the light out, called the Onyx Blade, the display reading claiming to have been forged by Shade
<DeathStar> 6* She moves down one more time
<Sara> <Chelsea> *to Kira* Some of this stuff is fake. "Encouraging." *she says, meaningfully*
<Seraphna> * Luci keeps moving along.
<DeathStar> 6* The final display holds a chalice that reads: This is believed if filled with the waters of Undine can heal the dead. The chalice's orgins is unknown
<Sara> * Chelsea keeps following Asarar, actually rather interested in these things as a user of spirit fossils
<Seraphna> Luci> "They stopped having amazing names. Why not "Cup of Life" or something?"
<DeathStar> 6* Asarar snickers, then moves right, passing the room she began in. Actually in the room is some ancient dragon fossil as one of the four items, claiming to be a dragon spirit fossil
<Jackieness> <Kira> "...don't talk about it."
<DeathStar> 6* Asarar moves to the stairs, and up to the locked door, studying it
<DeathStar> <Asarar> We'll either need to pick the key off a guard or lockpick this
<Seraphna> * Luci peers at it carefully.
<DeathStar> <Asarar> When it comes time
<Seraphna> * The fossil that is.
<DeathStar> 6* IT definitely looks like a dragon, the shape that is. Hard to tell if it's real, or a real spirit fossil
<Seraphna> Luci> "I almost feel like I should be able to tell.." *she keeps staring, focusing on it*
<Sara> * Chelsea looks at it with interest
<DeathStar> *to Kira* <Asarar> There seems to be three guards on each floor, unless they add more at night. The floor two guards circle
<DeathStar> <Asarar> If no one can lock pick, we have to pick a key to get in - breaking the lock might trigger an alarm
<Sara> * Being particularly interested in the dragon fossil, she uses perception to see if there's anything obviously fake about it
<Sara> (Chelsea does*)
<Sara> <Chelsea> I can pick doors.
<DeathStar> 6* The fossils are real. The spirit part is still hard to nail down until one tests it
<DeathStar> (Chelsea is in another room if she is playing with the fossil)
<Seraphna> * Luci blinks and looks at Chelsea, having been focusing on the fossil this whole time.
<DeathStar> 6* Asarar, since no response, moves down the stairs to go, doing something in her data-reader
<DeathStar> 6* Letting the others play
<Jackieness> <Kira> *follows Asarara and leans in close. voice low* "Not that I want to talk out loud while inside the place we are going to hit... but I cna pop a lock."
<kalonZombie> 6*Max catches up with Luci, looking at the fossil
<kalonZombie> <Max> Huh. Cool bones.
<DeathStar> 6* Asarar nods as she steps outside
<Seraphna> Luci> "Yeah, can't tell if it's really what it says though... let's go." *she moves to leave*
<kalonZombie> 6*Max nods and follows her
<Sara> * Chelsea heads out with the others
<DeathStar> 6* Asarar eyes the timelimit. "We'll do it tonight. Our window is too small to fail."
