<DeathStar> 6* On the morning of the 17th day, when they are scheduled to finally meet with people about the mining ops, Mayde comes in with other maids to wake them, opening their window curtains
<DeathStar> 6* Gwen winces, rubbing her face, sitting up.
<kalonZombie> 6*Ceilia sits up and stretches. She sleeps naked.
<SuperKoala> *Commodus is already dressed in his Hapian clothes, his bed made
<Tabetha> * Alita is already up, reading, but she smiles and gets dressed.
<DeathStar> 6* Gwen dresses with a maid's help
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *sits up in her bed and then checks to see if anyone else is in her bed.... just in case.
<Wyrd> 6Vyvy bows in her regular clothing, smiling to Mayde.

<Tabetha> * Alita gets her things together and stretches a bit. "Mmm, busy day ahead."

<SuperKoala> Commodus> Gwen and Vyvy with me and talk to one, Alita and Ceilia with Sasha talk to the other

A man in his 40's, balding slightly, with a slight pudge, but muscled a little, turns to face them, studying them. He has many maps strown about and a large cushy chair behind his desk

<DeathStar> 6* The man's desk has his name on it, Byrer. "Welcome to my office, I do not get many visitors from the Academy - if ever I think. To what do I owe this visit?"
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *steps into the room* "Good morning. We are here to discuss the status of the spirit fossil mining operations within the Dynasty."
<DeathStar> <Byrer> *he makes a slight face* Very well, but you will find nothing wrong. *He has two seats only*

<Tabetha> * Alita pretends not to notice she's getting glances as she gently hooks some of her hair back, letting the exotic light green hair cascade off her shoulder. Burning a point of charisma. "The rest have been abandoned?"
<DeathStar> * He glances at Alita, reaching for a glass in his desk. "Why do you ask?"
<Tabetha> Alita> "More concern over the Kumen then anything. I was just wondering if those sites were properly restored like the new ones are, and if anyone checks on them is all."
<DeathStar> *Bryer pours a drink, peering at Sasha slowly, then at the two* All mining operations are routinely checked with Inspectors
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "What exactly did the Kumen do? Unreasonable demands?"
<DeathStar> <Byrer> They began to want more than we could provide - we need spirit-tech to survive here. So they did the unthinkable sin of using live spirits without letting them go. On Kumen there are no spirits due to it being a dead world, so fossils is what you use
<DeathStar> <Byrer> We are trying to teach them.
<DeathStar> <Byrer> Spirit-tech appeals to them since their tech is a dead end in this galaxy
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Is there an possibility that the Kumen could or have attempted to set up illegal mining operations of their own?"

<Jackieness> <Sasha> *stays silent as they walk along*
<Tabetha> * Alita walks, but slows her pace a bit as they near the distortion, giving Ceila a look.

<Tabetha> * Alita hums and starts taking notes on some spirits, waiting till Sasha and the maid leave to slightly nod, her attention moving to the hallways around them.

<kalonZombie> 6*When the other group is out of sight Ceilia starts to chant
<Tabetha> * Alita looks to see that things are clear and sighs a bit.

<DeathStar> 6* The spirit dimension glows red and a thunderous boom is heard, knocking Ceilia and Alita down. The spirits missing in the 20 foot area.

<Tabetha> * Alita shakes her head and shifts to get up, helping Ceilia. "We should leave."

<DeathStar> 6* As they try to find their way, guards can be heard approaching the area
<Tabetha> * Alita keeps to the path they came from, peering for someplace to be out of the way if needed.

<DeathStar> <Malroy> *he crosses his fingers* I would not be surprised if there are, or turning over the old operations if the Kumen behavior remains consistantly good. You must train them, even as we opened the Academy to deal with them if they g et out of control
<AquaKoala> *Commodus nods "They are the outside element in this, do you trust them to keep up their side of the deal? Of the record, purely on a personal level."
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "I understand we had to put certain limits on Kumen activity after they became too... demanding."
<AquaKoala> Commodus> So the academy can be ready just in case.
<DeathStar> <Malroy> We hope they do, but trust? We would not have encouraged the Academy and a united Geyze if we fully trusted

<DeathStar> <Malroy> They are a divided people - each corporation ahs their own desires and needs. I trust some more than others
<AquaKoala> *Commodus nods "And the naturalists? Do you consider them a large threat to stability?
<DeathStar> <Malroy> *he smiles* Each group has their own concerns. I hope that soon the naturalists will learn Geyze needs to move forward and we cannot all live on the land untouched and prestine, wearing no clothing and beating our chests nude wearing fig leaves
<DeathStar> <Malroy> Tell me. *He looks at the two daemons* Your land is largely untouched but did you not enjoy the spirit-tech advancements?

It seems to have done nothing but we are just making sure. She will come down to hear what you all want as soon as she can get out of the meeting
