<DeathStar> 6* It is a beautiful day in Quadrant 1. Everything is mostly unassuming as a ships are being loaded up by mercenaries and other races from the Crytok Empire are trying to recruit people from all slices, slums, middle, and slums, one of the few times they are allowed up top

<DeathStar> 6* A distant skirmish going off that they are recruiting and offering great pay for a 3 year campaign, encouraging people, like the likes of Max to leave. They are also bringing along older model Biotects. At the same time, an older man, but still young at this point, named Samson stands beside a maid, who looks important, surverying the sight
<DeathStar> <Maid> We need to have our own ships - not just small ships.
<DeathStar> <Samson> So you want to ramp up production on a large vessel? 6* The maid nods. "Mistress wants to build a ship to get back to the Homeworld where we came from."
<DeathStar> 6* They move off from the docks toward the CoreSector HQ, in the center of the city
<DeathStar> <Samson> It will take a lot of time and manpower to build a ship. It could be years. <Maid> Then we need to make sure we get people interested on being on the ship

<DeathStar> 6* A year later, CoreSector, the Corporation that rules over all the other corporations, opens an elite school to train for flight and ships. At this point though, it is a dream for many people to even think about entering.
<DeathStar> 6* For those without the grades, or the parents funding, a few students who could not enter are currently lottering outside in a bar, such as the current groups's characters, who could not get in. Awaiting a special lottery chance to get into the school, a purely luck chance

<kalonZombie> 6*Linda would be one of them. She isn't money and her grades were meh at best.
<DeathStar> 6* The bartender eyes Linda, wiping glasses
<DeathStar> 6* Then peers at Erica
<DeathStar> <Bartender> You two look a bunch of sad gals
<kalonZombie> <Linda> There's no chance I'll get in. I'm good at making holo programs but that's about it.
<kalonZombie> <Linda> That and drink mixing.
<DeathStar> 6* The bartender eyes the screen with the school. "Why go for it then?"
<Sara> <Erica> ... Sad gals, huh?
<kalonZombie> <Linda> It would be neat to go see Homeworld. Figure a one in a trillion shot is better than not trying at all.
<DeathStar> <Bartender> Cheer up. Maybe you'll make the lottery
<Sara> <Erica> Any place is better than here... *she says, quoting Saoirse*
<DeathStar> 6* He eyes the timer. "They're beginning in 2 minutes."
<DeathStar> 6* A crowd of students is gathering in front of the school
<Jackieness> <Kathryn> *is standing in the crowd, tired of test piloting cargo haulers and wanting to move on to something more exciting*
<kalonZombie> 6*She sighs, finishes her drink, and heads out "Yeah well I'm not really counting on it
<Sara> * Erica shrugs and follows her
<DeathStar> 6* A beautiful maid steps out, walking along, her dark hair flowing, looking like she should be a high lady, walking with grace and class, out to the students
<DeathStar> 6* Erica and Linda are two blocks from the school, with less than 40 seconds to reach it
<DeathStar> 6* The maid holds up a box
<DeathStar> <Maid> I will call out 3 numbers from this - if it matches your school ID that you applied with, you will be allowed in despite your status.
<DeathStar> 6* The maid reaches into the box of the rejected students from earlier, fishing through the thousands of numbers
<Sara> * Erica, with Saoirse in her bag, walks at a brisk pace
<kalonZombie> 6*Linda bunny hops towards the school since it's faster
<Sara> * Being quite fit, Erica moves pretty fast, though she's not running
<DeathStar> 6* She holds out the first number and calls out Erica's number, then peers around. "Is this student here?" 6* With Erica only coming in sight and not hearing it yet. The students look around puzzled at the lucky student not coming forward
<DeathStar> 6* The maid begins to shrug and starts to crumble it up
<Sara> <Erica> Oy. I'm here.
<DeathStar> 6* The maid looks up at Erica. "Are you? Hm. You are the one that left with the Blade girl despite getting in."
<DeathStar> 6* She tosses the number away
<DeathStar> <Maid> I suppose you will be giving your place to her.
<DeathStar> 6* Refers to the free lottery
<Sara> * Erica gives a shrug, then a nod. "That was the idea."
<DeathStar> 6* The maid eyes Erica coldly. "Next time if you want something, be faster." 6* She waves her inside the school doors
<DeathStar> 6* Then reaches in and pulls out another number, calling it out. Katheryn's number
<Sara> * Erica narrows her gaze but goes inside
<Jackieness> <Kathryn> *moves forward when her number is called*
<DeathStar> <Maid> ... 6* She looks around, then nods to Katheryn.
<DeathStar> <Maid> You may enter.
<DeathStar> 6* Then she calls out now Linda's number for the final lottery number
<Jackieness> <Kathryn> "Thanks." *heads inside faster than Erica*
<DeathStar> 6* However, the student is not there, likely somewhere sulky and the maid crumbles it up and reaches in, pulling out a fourth, reading out Linda's student ID
<DeathStar> <Maid> ... 6* She looks around
<kalonZombie> 6*Linda was walking away, but her ears perk up at that
<kalonZombie> <Linda> THAT'S ME!
<DeathStar> <Maid> Then you may enter. That is all
<kalonZombie> 6*She runs up, pushing people out of the way
<DeathStar> 6* The maid throws the other numbers away. Somewhere, Linda has made an arch nemesis, # 431110

<Sathen> 6<431110> is suffering from a hang-over.

<DeathStar> 6* After a year of intense training, each of them not really together, training in their own separate departments, it seems they are evaluated and soon they are brought together surprisingly, no longer with students training for the same positions, but put up with other students. They are called "Cliques" because the school hopes to see how they work together like they will on a ship. Around this time, Biotects get their freedom after the Mark 8's
<DeathStar> 6* As they come to room, with Little and others joining, they would find Kaylin there sitting already. A big announcement going on about Biotects being used in the school as a sign of their freedom
<DeathStar> 6* Apparantly there are 3 of them
<Kaelan> * Marissa sips an energy drink, her headphones leaking power metal, despite all that she looks half asleep.
<Sara> <Erica> *muttering to herself* True equality would mean not having to make a big deal of it...
<Sathen> 6Kaylin sits quietly on her assigned bunk, a stack of technical, security and tactical manuals next to her.
<DeathStar> 6* Saorise studies Kaylin, hanging onto Erica's arm
<kalonZombie> 6*Linda reads up on what she's supposed to be doing, hmming
<Sara> * Erica gives a slight smirk as she moves to find a pair of seats
<DeathStar> 6* A teacher and leader of their clichqe walks in. "You all know what you have been training in your departments and what you love to do. Erica is your captain and leader, so you will follow her orders in the upcoming simulations."
<DeathStar> <Teacher> Starting tomorrow, you will work in mock rooms of what the Aquarius will look like
<Kaelan> * Marissa browses some files on her large datapad, sipping more energy drink. She peers up as though paying attention.
<DeathStar> 6* He smiles and moves off
<DeathStar> <Saroise> Hmph
<Jackieness> <Kathryn> *lays on her bunk, her hands moving in the air as though she were piloting a ship*
<Sathen> 6Kaylin continues to sit there reading, this one a weapons schematic; occaisionally looking up at the others but too quiet at this point to say or do anything else.
<DeathStar> <Saorise> You heard the teacher, Erica is the boss, so you all better start listening to her. 6* She leans forward. "Got any snacks?"
<Sara> * Erica tries not to laugh
<Kaelan> Marissa> *tosses a bag of chips at Sao*
<kalonZombie> <Linda> Glad they gave me morale officer.
<kalonZombie> <Linda> Now I get to do what I was doing before but with more benefits.
<DeathStar> 6* Erica takes it and begins to snack
<DeathStar> *Erp, Saorise
<DeathStar> 6* Saorise goes and takes top bunk
<Sathen> 6Kaylin continues to study the schematic from her bunk, flipping a page to get a detailed view of a receiver assembly.
<Sara> <Erica> Well, I hope you're all ready for a rough trip. ... And I mean the rest of our work and training before we leave.
<DeathStar> 6* The next day, the group finds themself on the bridge. While far from what it ends up being - there is no tube for the Spirit after all, it has all the seats and view screen
<DeathStar> 6* The teacher speaks on the intercomm. "We'll run a little simulator in a moment."
<kalonZombie> 6*Linda looks around, hmming to herself quietly
<Kaelan> * Mari still looks tired, though everyone is sure she slept all night. She sips more energy drink.
<DeathStar> 6* Saorise stands behind Erica's seat. The Captain's chair has buttons to access the terminals, there is the comm terminal and the scanner terminal connected to it, the weapon terminal, and the piloting terminal
<DeathStar> 6* The viewscreen shows them flying through unknown space
<Sara> <Erica> Stations, everyone.
<Jackieness> <Kathryn> *studies the flight controls as she takes her seat*
<Kaelan> * Marissa takes a seat, medical officer not really having too much to do unless people are dying.
<kalonZombie> 6*Linda moves to her place on the bridge, since she likely wouldn't be running holos or serving lunch during
<DeathStar> 6* There are buttons to fly with, a wheel, and a joystick
<Sathen> 6Kaylin is in her tactical gear, not showing anything outwardly as she moves over to seat herself at the weapons systems.
<DeathStar> 6* Up ahead, a wicked enemy of the Crytok Empire flies up, a multilayered ship
<Jackieness> <Kathryn> *takes the flight controls*
<DeathStar> 6* Unknown to them, watchnig is the maid as well as a woman with blondeish tan hair, foxish ears twitching
<DeathStar> 6* The enemy ship fires, blasting their ship with no shields up
<Kaelan> MArissa> "Look, evil guy." *she says helpfully, then goes back to sipping*
<Sathen> 6Kaylin will take her console out of sleep, powering up the shields.
<Sara> <Erica> Tch. Shields up! Return fire!
<DeathStar> 6* The bridge simulates damage, ejecting Linda flying over a seat
<Sara> * Erica glances at Marissa and points her to Linda
<DeathStar> 6* Saorise squeals as the floor boards send her flying into Erica's chair and over onto her lap, legs spread
<Kaelan> Marissa> "You need first aid, Linda?"
<Sathen> 6Kaylin will select some of the weapons systems and target at the enemy ship's locations for energy and weapons control before firing.
<kalonZombie> <Linda> I'm fine. I'm pretty sure my spine is supposed to bend at this weird angle...
<kalonZombie> <Linda> ;A;
<Jackieness> <Kathryn> *performs evasive maneuvers*
<Kaelan> * Marissa grumbles and moves over to fix her.
<DeathStar> 6* The enemy ship is damaged heavily as it turns, hailing them
<Kaelan> * Marissa then treats her awesomely.
<Sara> <Erica> On screen.
<kalonZombie> 6*Linda nods in thanks and moves back to her seat
<Sathen> 6Kaylin cycles through to targetting the ships propulsion and long range communications systems, her finger hovering over the 'fire' command.
<DeathStar> 6* Sensors indicate, even as the enemy appears on screen, there is a slow, but powerful build up from the enemy ship
<DeathStar> <Enemy Captain> We surrender! Mercy!
<DeathStar> 6* The man is a green skinned alien, with scales on places of his face, and yellow eyes
<Sara> <Erica> Very well. Please power down your weapons.
<DeathStar> 6* Two stalks from his ead.
<DeathStar> <Enemy Captain> It is not our weapons, we are swearing! It is merely a power leak in our engines - give us a moment to control
<Kaelan> Marissa> "They're planning to blow us."
<Sathen> 6Kaylin will change her targetting of the weapons to command section and weapons control.
<DeathStar> 6* The sensors are indicating differently, but it could be wrong
<DeathStar> 6* But with how beat up it is, if they fire
<DeathStar> 6* the ship will likely blow
<Jackieness> <Kathryn> *turns the ship around to stay out of the enemy ships direct firing arcs*
<kalonZombie> <Linda> Transfer them aboard and put them in the brig?
<DeathStar> 6* Especially with the other ship's build up
<DeathStar> <Saorise> What kind of test is this... *She grumbles, rubbing her butT*
<Sara> <Erica> *addressing the alien* Captain, do you need assistance?
<DeathStar> <Captain> We just need a few minutes, we promise. *he bows pathetically*
<Sathen> 6Kaylin will wait for the moment, switching non-essential weapons systems to off and transfering energy to the shields.
<DeathStar> 6* The ship keeps building up
<Sara> * Erica cuts the comm. "Helm, take us out."
<DeathStar> 6* If they fired, it likely would take them both out
<Jackieness> <Kathryn> "Aye." *moves them away from thwe other ship*
<Sara> <Erica> I'm not sure what's going on here, but if they're fine, they're fine -- if they're aiming to attack us, well, they'll have to give chase.
<DeathStar> 6* A moment later, the other ship explodes violently, rocking them
<Sara> <Erica> Tch...
<DeathStar> 6* But they got enough away not to be affected
<DeathStar> <Saorise> Maybe we should reach ship logs of other races next time to see if they like to blow themselvesu p
<kalonZombie> <Linda> Hm...
<Sathen> 6Kaylin grabs ahold of the weapons station to keep herself from getting pitched
<Sara> <Erica> Yeah...
<Sara> * She hangs her head. "If this weren't just a simulation I'd be grieving for them regardless." She laughs dryly.
<DeathStar> 6* The sim room repairs itself and the lights go back on, indicating they are done. The maid and the animal like woman moves on. MYsterious woman. "Come, 'en. They might be the ones."

<DeathStar> 6* The team has a late break, after finals and before which cliques is told they are going to be the offical team to lead the Aquarius
<DeathStar> 6* Outside on top side, the group has been given coinage to celebrate.
<kalonZombie> <Linda> Let's not go out, and instead I'll mix everyone drinks and make horrible party food that's super greasy but tastes so good.
<Sathen> 6Kaylin left her coinage alone, the others could use it if they wanted; she will spend her free time jogging.
<DeathStar> 6* Saorise eyes Linda. "We get a chance to go out to clubs and stuff and you want to stay in."
<Kaelan> Marissa> "As long as there's Rocket Blasters." *her enery drink brand*
<kalonZombie> <Linda> It's cheaper to stay in, AND this way nobody has to be designated driver
<DeathStar> 6* As they talk outside the school grounds, a strange girl with long silverish hair walks by with another beautiful fox girl with dark hair streaming past, looking like she gives no cares, wearing an asian outfit
<kalonZombie> <Linda> While at the same time still being able to drink Rocket Blasters and margirhitas
<DeathStar> <Girl 2> Let us find a place with information of this world for mother. She has nearly united the kingdoms after all. We don't want to miss our deadline
<Sathen> 6Kaylin makes her way to the door leading out, wearing sweatpants and a tank-top; heading out to jog.
<DeathStar> 6* The smaller silver hair girl nods. IT seems they are are hear to learn to Kumen
<DeathStar> 6* Saorise eyes the two go by
<Sara> * Erica's eyes follow them passing, humming to herself
<Sara> <Erica> Don't see that every day, huh, Saoir?
<DeathStar> <Saoirse> Mmmhm. Prettyh fox
<DeathStar> 6* She gets that look when she likes something
<Jackieness> <Kathryn> "Don't get any weird ideas."
<DeathStar> <Saoirse> Like what? *she huffs at Kathryn*
<kalonZombie> 6*Linda heads out to buy party supplies
<Sara> <Erica> Fox, huh. I thought I was the foxy one. *she glares slightly at Saoirse*
<DeathStar> 6* As they argue, a student walks out with the results and puts it on the wall of which group won
<DeathStar> 6* Saoirse smiles innocently, then waves at the results to distract Erica
<Kaelan> Marissa peers over. "Let's check it out."
<Sathen> 6Kaylin simply settles into a steady pace, running along the perimeter of the school's grounds.
<DeathStar> 6* Shion and Lu enter the Kumen Library and begin to use the computers to get all the information Miyu and Isis will need
<DeathStar> 6* Saoirse then sneaks off to find the two
<Sara> <Erica> H-hey! Saoir! *she frowns, but looks at the results*
<DeathStar> 6* Sadly, she fails and returns later
<DeathStar> 6* Erica's group is #1
<Jackieness> <Kathryn> "Yep, she got a weird idea." *checks out the results*
<DeathStar> 6* It seems the Academy will be putting all their efforts behind them
<DeathStar> *well, the flight
<Kaelan> Marissa> "We won. So Captain, I'll have a special order for the ship supplies." *she shakes her can of energy drink*
