<DeathStar> 6* Gwen raises a brow at that
<Kaelan> * Alita looks up from reading.
<kalonZombie> 6*Ceilia is wearing a collar she recieved after her punishment from Miyuki. She also looks up.
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *sets down her book* "Are we... ... ...what are you wearing Ceilia?"
<kalonZombie> <Ceilia> A collar.
<DeathStar> 6* Shion glances at Ceilia, looking baffled, then waits on Sasha, tapping her fingers on the papers
<Kaelan> * Alita tickles around it.
<Kaelan> ALita> Is my twin a pet now?
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Anyway, do we have a mission now?"

<Kaelan> * Alita smiles and curls her tail in Ceilia's, peering over at Sasha.
<DeathStar> <Shion> I will be joining the team as your Co-Captain with Commodus gone. And especially after the events of a few weeks ago up north. 6* Kito makes a slight face, still not doing great but at least not hiding

<DeathStar> <Shion> *She peers at the papers* According to the Inner Council, Geyze has been alight with problems after the incident. Various Kingdoms are capitalizing on the attack by the Keiser's son on the Amazons

<DeathStar> <Shion> We have confirmation from our people that the Kaiser is doing fine. *she notes to those who might be interested*
<DeathStar> <Shion> But he won't be in any semblence of shape for a long time
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Unfortunate, but also expected."

<Kaelan> * Alita nods, frowning a litle.
<DeathStar> 6* Shion folds the papers, handing them to Sasha for now. "However, it looks like the Naturalists and the Hapians might be the biggest problem ironically. The Hapian productions are increasing with the mining, and the Naturalists are recruiting people. We don't know why the Hapians are mining themselves right now the land, or why the Kumens are being bumped out.

<Sara> <Liana> The Naturalists and... the Hapians, huh... *she frowns*
<kalonZombie> <Ceilia> Personally I'm more drawn to the Naturalists.

<Kaelan> Alita> "Are we really welcome with the Naturalists anymore?"

<DeathStar> <Shion> Like I said, getting the information that they are doing it was noteworthing in itself. Your unit is suppose to get more

<DeathStar> <Shion> So far the other units are tied up doing control damage elsewhere and doing spy work and diplomacy work
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *nods* "The other matter, the Hapian Dynasty... what do we know about the change in the relationship with the Kumen?"
<DeathStar> <Shion> And unit 7 is off doing smash and grab
<DeathStar> <Shion> Not a thing. The Hapians play things closer to the vest than anyone. *She finishes her tea* If I knew, I would have told you up front, ne?

<Kaelan> Alita> "It seems... odd, you'd think if they were kicking the Kumen out it would be for mining abuse, instead it seems they're just getting greedy."

<DeathStar> <Shion> I suppose we could pull aside the Tamae leadership here and just ask, but that might be disasterous, based on all your reports

<Kaelan> Alita> "I suppose we pick one then and work out what we can... everything seems like it will be a challenge however we go."
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "I am leaning toward investigation of the Naturalists as these sorts of sudden changes in the status quo in the Hapian dynasty tends to foretell ill tidings."

<Kaelan> Alita> "Recruiting for war, possibly."
<DeathStar> <Shion> Well, it's pretty easy to see why A and B are connected
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Shio, did the recruitment start before or after the change in the Hapian mining activity?"

<Sara> <Liana> Not that it's good to leave the Hapian situation ignored, but...

<DeathStar> <Shion> It's impossible to say, since the events in the north throw up a cloud over everything

<Jackieness> <Sasha> "If the Hapian mining activity started firsat, the Naturalists recruitment could possibly be in anticipation of an attack on Hapian."
<DeathStar> <Shion> The timestamps on my reports are too close together to make the call. My sources noted their things when they noted it, but all eyes for a while were up north. Or maybe the events up north spurned the events southward
<DeathStar> <Shion> When it comes down to it, Captain, is that you have to commit to what a unit was trained to do. Investigate, spy, inflitrate, and gather sources and information
<DeathStar> <Shion> If you feel incapable of moving with that, I will go gather another unit

<DeathStar> 6* Shion places back in her breasts. "Or if you want go after the Naturalists, you will have to hunt for the recruitment centers
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "As expected. As much as I would liek to deal with the Hapian mining operations, there is risk that they might indeed build an army and attack the mines before we can act. The recruitment is potentially a more immediate threat, so I will not ignore it for now."

<DeathStar> <Shion> Since you are all on delicate terms with the leadership, I would avoid the capital and move through the regional cities asking questions - minus uniforms. So I gathered Naturalist clothing in the horse drawn carriages outside
<DeathStar> <Shion> Also if I were gathering an army, I would want it near the Hapian border, but out of sight too from the normal traffic lanes
<Kaelan> Alita> "Slow... but safer than flying carriages in those borders." *she notes, remembering*
<kalonZombie> 6*Ceilia shudders at the memory
<DeathStar> 6* Shion circles an area of the map.
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Yes, we had a questionable experience with flying carriages and the naturalist territory."
<DeathStar> <Shion> I say the army is likely there by likely deduction. If I am wrong, we waste a few weeks.
<DeathStar> <Shion> It's not like we can stop them, but if we learn of the existence, it's leverage we have later.
<DeathStar> <Shion> Plus I hear Vyvy is friends with Sylph
<DeathStar> 6* She has circled the grass plains and forest area they crash landed that once

<DeathStar> 6* Only part of the village city seems opened up, the rest built up with stones
<DeathStar> <Gwen> Creepily exclusive to strangers. 6* A guard in a straw outfit stands guard, praying - he pauses as the carriage nears and approaches them, looking over them suspiciously
<DeathStar> <Guard> You here for supplies? *he eyes them, spirits flying around him - the city seems to have a huge number of spirits of all kinds*
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *has her colored contacts to disguises her eyes color and hair done up in a thick bun*
<Sara> * Liana has similar contacts but otherwise looks herself, just dressed in Naturalist clothes
<Kaelan> * Alita stretches in her showy naturalist clothes. "Mmm... is there good food here?"
<DeathStar> *the guard chews, eyeing Alita, noticing she's a dameon and relaxes* Yeah, for a day. Come on in
<DeathStar> 6* Gwen drives the carriage on into the city - there's an abby set up and people are praying to the spirits, who fly about them
<kalonZombie> 6*Ceilia giggles, wrapping her arms around her twin enticingly
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *leans over and whispers* "Did you see that, Alita?"
<DeathStar> 6* A single store is set up, looking run down and old supplies that are likely barely worth anything, and a single two room inn for travelers - to encourage them to leave.
<DeathStar> 6* The abby area, people pray and spirits enter their bodies, then the people rise and move around curiously, touching things
<DeathStar> 6* Causing others to praise the spirits
<DeathStar> 6* Gwen stares at this as he parks the carriage by the inn. The guard talks to the inn later, who eyes them and nods, moving inside the inn
<DeathStar> 6* Shion steps out, staring at the spirits going inside people
<DeathStar> <Shion> Fascinating
<DeathStar> 6* She watches the small cute boo like spirits entering people
<kalonZombie> <Ceilia> Hmm.
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *whispers* "He was set at ease when he saw that you were a daemon. You know what that means, don't you?"
<Kaelan> * Alita smles and peers around. "Mmm?"
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *whispers* "Hapian agents would never travel with daemons."

<DeathStar> 6* A preacher speaks to the crowd out in front, telling them how the spirits are one with them and to let them inside you to feel the glory of them - to open up your body and feel the natural state of being. He speaks to the people of the city feverantly and passionately. Those being taken in by spirits seem to reach a state of pleasure as the spirits use their bodies to move around, exploring curiously

<DeathStar> <Shion> So this is a religious town? <Inn Woman> Yeah, it is. *She eyes Shion's ear, taking her for a werebeast* You daemons should join us

<DeathStar> 6* Outside the others move inside the abby to continue praying and worshipping

<DeathStar> 6* The innkeeper leans in toward Liana. "The spirits tell me that you will bring into this world trouble. Kehehe."
<DeathStar> 6* She leans back, giving a toothy smile.
<DeathStar> 6* Gwen swallows, nodding, then eyes the innkeeper
<DeathStar> 6* She offers more stew
<Kaelan> * Alita has the stew, musing as she peers around more.
<DeathStar> 6* It tastes rather plain, lacking salt

<Sara> * Liana makes a confused face at the innkeeper but moves to try the stew herself, it's food
<DeathStar> 6* Later, as the sun goes down, everyone in the village returns to the homes and it grows quiet, spirits floating about and staring at them. If they opt to stay, the two room inn would be very crowded and people after dark go to bed
<DeathStar> 6* Shion relaxes with tea, having brought some along
<DeathStar> <Shion> I think we should be making trails as soon as possible. Nothing around here. *She says in code*
<DeathStar> <Shion> These people think the spirits tell them the future
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *nods to Shion*
<DeathStar> <Shion> I heard more than one say that conversing with a spirit can tell show them visions of the future
<DeathStar> <Shion> Little things, typically - good crops, who would betray you, who would be great friends, a lover
<Sara> <Liana> Besides, me, bring trouble into the world? *she looks confused again as she thinks about it*
<DeathStar> <Shion> I think she was trying to scare you
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "I agree, we should move on."

<DeathStar> <Shion> Hm, so do we confirm with our own eyes, or consider this a success

<Kaelan> Alita> "It sounds pretty solid to me."
<DeathStar> 6* Shion eyes a map quietly, back turned to the villagers and leaning in the carriage. "These rivers and the grasslands inbetween them are maze like."
<DeathStar> <Shion> We could spend weeks looking on our own unless you have a quicker way of looking - assuming the Captain wants to get a visual
<Kaelan> Alita> If a child knows that much, it sounds like she's heard a recruiter.
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "I wonder when their next supply run is."
<Kaelan> Alita> "We could possibly enlist the aid of a water spirit? We lack Vyvy though..."
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Our spirit resources are limited."

<DeathStar> <Gwen> I guess we could stay here but we might get looks if we wait too long
<Kaelan> Alita> "I used my spirit in the conflict up north."

<DeathStar> <Shion> We could pitch in and help and work the fields, make them feel at ease

<DeathStar> <Gwen> I want to say I used mine a while back on something *cough cough*
<Sara> * Liana tilts her head at that
<Kaelan> Alita> "Ceilia still has hers I think?" *she looks at her twin*

<Jackieness> <Sasha> "The key thing is we need to know the proper path, otherwise we may never find these Heroes of Geyze."
<DeathStar> <Shion> We are on the outer river here. *she points at the map*
<DeathStar> <Shion> That gives us a choice of three rivers - assuming they aren't crazy enough to walk across land to another river
<Kaelan> Alita> "Wouldn't staying here and spotting the forces be confirmation enough?"
<DeathStar> <Shion> And the space between these three rivers.
<DeathStar> <Shion> *props her shoulders up* MAybe a bit on the right here too
<DeathStar> <Shion> That's a lot of miles
<DeathStar> <Shion> I think, Alita, the Captain wants to know their base
<DeathStar> <Shion> For in the future
<DeathStar> 6* Gwen eats an apple, chewing it
<DeathStar> <Gwen> We could use Sylph, but we'd have to ask her to do fly bys of the area so we can know how to get there ourselves, or stay here and then follow them. Captain's call
<Kaelan> * Alita nods a little. "I think I'm in favor of asking Slyph."
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "At this point, these heroes are still hearsay."
<Kaelan> Alita> "Slyph ultimately might already know about them too."
<kalonZombie> <Ceilia> Yeah, Slyph might help lots.
<Kaelan> Alita> "We know that the Naturalists don't always actually work on Slyph's behalf, even though she's their spirit."
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Much as the LEgion do not take order from Salamander."
<DeathStar> 6* Shion grabs some farming tools
<DeathStar> <Shion> Well, I take it I should make myself busy for a while
<DeathStar> 6* Shion goes to find the village elder
<Kaelan> Alita> "We met priests here who claim to speak to her yet couldn't actually tell you what she's like." *she blinks and grabs some tools* "So we've decided to stay here then?"
<Kaelan> * Alita looks confused since they were discussing using the spirit up until Shion just seemed to decide the opposite.

<kalonZombie> 6*Ceilia blinks at Shion
<Sara> * Liana gives a shrug, just ready to do whatever the Commander decides
<DeathStar> 6* Waves tail, moving to do crop work while they talk
<Kaelan> * Alita looks to Sasha.
<DeathStar> 6* Gwen finishes apple
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "We'll wait out here for a few days at least. We all need a moment to catch our breaths. If, in that time, we do not learn anything more, we shall fall back upon the spirits."
<Kaelan> * Alita nods and joins Shion in the work.

<DeathStar> 6* Shion receives the week's high score on crops, taking bows and drinking ale at the week end festival - whether she cheated no one can tell except her. The villagers have opened up due to them due to their hard work and Shion's endless bubbliness to them, not knowing how terrifying she can be if she wants to be.
<DeathStar> 6* Gwen relaxes as the party, the night sky filled with Kumen above - a raft slowly coming up and a select few villagers going out to meet it and give them supplies and loading up the raft as the villagers party. Most pretend not to notice, but being a small village hub it's hard NOT to notice
<Kaelan> * Alita sips her drink while sitting on Mykel's lap, pretending not to notice either.

<Sara> * Liana, already married, uses it as an excuse to follow Gwen and help him calm down a bit

<DeathStar> 6* Five days pass, with them taking paths down the river, and finally the other group gets off the raft, taking their carriage onto land. Shion strangely waits 30 minutes, then frees the horse, slappoing it free, then orders them to get their supplies. Kito grabs a huge backpack for all their stuff, before Shion destroys the carriage

<DeathStar> 6* Shion then, carrying her backpack, follows the trial, able to track them easily being a kitsune, despite the 30 minute headstart
<DeathStar> <Shion> When the time comes, Liana, use Celsius to take us back to the Academy. We are not going to waste weeks going back on foot

<DeathStar> <Shion> The Academy really needs to get a faster transport system after we finish the Hapian assignment. Mother has a limited number of Hapian carriages, but they are not fast enough

<DeathStar> 6* Shion walks along the ground, kneeling and sniffing grass at times before moving along the wet grasslands, snakes and wet monsters attacking now and again. At one point, a slime monster leaps on Liana's breasts, absorb inb the clothes, trying to expose them

<Kaelan> * Alita tilts her head and uses her Pheramones 3 on the monster, trying to tame it.

<DeathStar> 6* Alita manages to get it to focus on her - it leaps
<Kaelan> * Alita sidesteps using an action point.
<DeathStar> 6* Shion whacks it now, sending it flying

<DeathStar> 6* They soon reach a clearing with a large number of Naturalists - hundreds upon hundreds, with weapons - some rather surprisingly hitech for them, even though they do not seem to be touching them
