<Kaelan> * Alita stretches, letting Mykel carry her stuff.

<DeathStar> 6* Kito takes up the rear, with Shion walking casually along. Where they parked, they are near the levels with all the commerse, the various shops with outfits, people like how Miyuki got a vampire servant that one time, or other reasons, sex clubs, food stands, etc

<Kaelan> * Alita looks unsurprisd, since the Headmistress negotiated with all the world leaders while starting the academy.

<Sara> * Liana looks equally unsurprised since like Alita she met the Headmistress during the Headmistress' travels to do just that

<DeathStar> 6* They stop in a VIP wing and Neophyx walks along the various rooms, a large balcony ahead showing the dark sky in it's vibrant purple and hues of twilight color ahead, spilling into the Tower

<DeathStar> 6* She walks along carefully, Shion and Gwen moving in pace behind, Kito scrambling to keep up with luggage and pulling it, as they move to a large room at the end with the best view and Neophyx knocks politely

<DeathStar> 6* A familiar young voice. "I told you people, I do not wish to be disturbed with my father!!"
<Sara> * Liana peers out when they are walking, but then blinks at the voice
<DeathStar> 6* Neophyx's voice twists a little in annoyance
<Stretch> 6Mykel will meet Miyuki's gaze momentarily, before looking towards the voice.
<Kaelan> * Alita blinks. "Is this where the younger son went then?"
<DeathStar> 6* Peering to her staff far away form the door, as if run off
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Then perhaps an exception might be made for the Academy?"
<DeathStar> <Neophyx> The younger son? No.
<AquaKoala> Commodus> I take it Jules is here?
<DeathStar> <Neophyx> He arrived earlier yesterday
<Kaelan> * Alita blinks a bit. "Jules is here? Oh..."
<DeathStar> 6* Neophyx opens the door despite the rude voice and steps in, all smiles. Jules turns to yell, then blinks at who it is
<Stretch> Mykel> 12"And what about supposed family?"
<AquaKoala> Commodus> Ave Jules.
<Sara> * Liana bows her head, not quite the same as a curtsey but at least she's showing some sign of respect

<DeathStar> <Neophyx> I am pleased to see you so animated, young Kaiser to be. 6* Jules nods his head in respect, not able to be rude to the Empress of this land. On the bed is Julies, looking older than he was last time and not in great shape, the Amazon with him, still treating him, though at this point it seems to just be out of respect - and comradity. He seems as good as it is going to get. Alive.

<Kaelan> * Alita does her best to hide her sadness externally and in the bond.

<DeathStar> 6* The Kaiser nods at Mykel, then at Jules. "Yes. It seems...I am hearing about that... a lot lately."
<DeathStar> 6* Neophyx quietly excuses herself, since this is not her place and steps out
<DeathStar> 6* The Amazon healer twitches and sits
<Stretch> Mykel> 12"Have you also been told that there's no proof that it was the Amazons who attacked the Capital?"
<DeathStar> <Jules> The Amazons have never truly stopped warring with us. *He turns toward Mykel* Not until we stop their ability to make war will they stop

<DeathStar> <Jules> One of their matrons was found among the dead. One of their 12 Matrons
<Kaelan> Alita> "The mage who attempted to take the Kaiser's life escaped just before their attack."
<AquaKoala> Commodus> One out of twelve, that is a minority
<Sara> <Liana> Maybe, maybe not. I'd say it depends on their identity and role.
<Kaelan> Alita> "And the AMazons are currently divided."
<DeathStar> 6* Jules crosses his arms, staring at them all, flatly.
<kalonZombie> 6*Ceilia stays quiet, not having much to add.
<Chainy> 6*Miyuki sits herself beside the Kaiser

<DeathStar> <Jules> You think I will not deal with Cortez and his rogue mages when I can? And that they are not likely aiding the Amazons? I am not a fool. <Stretch> Mykel> 12"War is a last resort, cousin; this course is simply perpetuating the cycle. And the Amazons are no different than we were, we just came together into a more cohesive group with a more solid leadership."
<DeathStar> <Jules> You speak of the tribes trying to constantly overthrow if there is a weak heir. But the current queen is rather strong and right now she's getting results
<DeathStar> 6* The Kaiser tiredly listens
<Kaelan> * Alita sighs and looks down.
<Chainy> 6*Miyuki silently holds his hand, lightly petting it as she allows her students to handle this
<DeathStar> 6* Jules turns to the Kaiser. "You may not like my ways, but you know you are no longer fit. Go out before the men now as you are and you will not be the presence you were before. You know what you must do, Father."
<DeathStar> <Kaiser Julies> And you are thinking because you are the eldest, it is your time.
<AquaKoala> *Commodus opens his mouth and blinks, having an inkling where this is going
<DeathStar> <Jules> Hapes has not been around for ages, or involved in any of this. Off at whatever school he picked
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *backs away and lowers her voice* "This is their moment now."
<DeathStar> <Jules> You know he is not ready and I am. *He leans forward* It is time, Father. You need to focus on healing and getting better
<Sara> * Liana gives Mykel a subtle nudge, such that it could just as well have been one of the Twins from the angle
<Kaelan> Alita> <He's going to lead the entire Legion into another trap...>

<DeathStar> <Jules> I thank you, and your headmistress, for saving Salamander and my city

<Stretch> Mykel> 12"The future for the Republic isn't through conqueroring the Amazons and making their people submit, it's to work with them to bring the entirety to a peaceful resolution."

<DeathStar> 6* Jules turns back to the Kaiser. "If you want time to think, do so, Father. You know what you need to do."
<Stretch> Mykel> 12"Its the responsibility of *all* of those with the authority to act, Kaiser and Academy alike."
<DeathStar> 6* He moves to step out. "Commodus, with me."
<AquaKoala> *Commodus blinks but follows
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *glances as they step out*
<DeathStar> 6* Shion watches the two step out, then turns to the Kaiser. "If you need the contact info of your youngest before you decide, I can provide it
<Kaelan> * Alita seems to be controlling her breathing, at least to Mykel, watching Jules.
<Stretch> Mykel frowns as Jules leaves, watching him quietly.
<Kaelan> Alita> "He forgot to mention the time we intervened as he was leading the entire legion into a trap meant to crush them at the Amazon border.." *she says low*
<Kaelan> Alita> "After we warned him it was a trap... too."
<Chainy> 6*Miyuki turns to the others
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *looks at the others* "We know that the rogue magi is pulling the strings. Let our focus be there."
<kalonZombie> 6*Ceilia looks at Miyuki
<DeathStar> 6* Jules looks at Commodus. "We think Cortez' people took your father. After getting answers out of him, though his tongue is like a lying snake, that seems the likely scenario."
<Chainy> <Miyuki> I would like some time alone with the Kaiser, if you do not mind
<DeathStar> <Jules> We think it was a whim.
<Kaelan> Alita> "They're pulling his strings quite successfully."
<Kaelan> * Alita sighs and nods, peering down, she looks at Gwen quietly a moment too.
<AquaKoala> Commodus> I gathered as much, it makes the most sense.
<DeathStar> 6* Gwen steps out, having been quiet and thoughtful. Kito steps out
<Stretch> 6Mykel will look over to the Kaiser and Miyuki, sighing.
<Sara> <Liana> Mykel... if you want to say something, if you want to do something, don't hesitate.
<DeathStar> <Jules> Unfortunately that means he is either in the Amazon territory since they are buddied up with them, or in the Spiritualist Region since you said you encountered them there

<DeathStar> <Jules> We cannot investigate the one region ever, and not the other yet
<DeathStar> 6* Jules turns to walk down the hallway after patting his shoulder
<Chainy> 6*Miyuki turns to the Kaiser and keeps stroking his hand, softly smiling, a weary one

<Sara> * Liana frowns and steps out

<DeathStar> <Kaiser> And if he is the only one veying for the position, he will get it.
<Chainy> <Miyuki> it is, and its never any better when you watch a situation change your children into adults

<DeathStar> <Kaiser> True. Jules has never liked the Amazons - he has lost many friends to their raids over the years
<Stretch> 6Mykel will glance to Liana and then to Miyuki and the Kaiser once again.

<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Commodus, the headmistress asked for privacy with the Kaiser."
<Kaelan> * Alita looks to Mykel. "You... could try for the position yourself you know."
<AquaKoala> *Commodus pauses and nods, not moving in
<Chainy> <Miyuki> he feels the pain of his people as well as his own, his ambition is noble but can go astray too easily
<Sara> <Liana> She's right, Mykel. Even if you are in the Academy right now, that doesn't mean you could not get anything done, even as you are.
<Chainy> <Miyuki> youth and blind passion always seem to go hand in hand
<DeathStar> <Kaiser> I am aware. He is a faster learner though. I just worry that unless the Amazons stop on their end, he will not stop on his end
<DeathStar> <Kaiser> He may have begun it in the eyes of many, but in his eyes, they began it with their raids
<Sara> <Liana> *still to Mykel* I know it's scary, but it may be one route worth considering. You could delegate... if you did become Kaiser.
<Stretch> Mykel> 12"I don't know the people or the politics, I am a complete unknown in the capital. I likely wouldn't last a week in the position, regardless of the precautions I take."
<Sara> * Liana sits, leaning against a wall outside of the room, thinking
<AquaKoala> Commodus> Not to mention his claim is tenuous at best. His support would be negligible
<Kaelan> Alita> "You have a legacy to call upon."
<Chainy> <Miyuki> indeed, but perhaps he can make efforts to have others help convince the amazons to reconsider
<Chainy> <Miyuki> this isnt just his war, or your war
<AquaKoala> Commodus> No offense meant Mykel.
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "In truth, I believe that our best chance to defuse the situation is to remove the rogue magi from the playing field."
<Kaelan> Alita> "Jules may think he's doing what the people want, but he's not seeing that his job isn't to do what the people want, but to do what's actually best for them. If it were the other way around, they'd be ruling."
<Chainy> <Miyuki> but you know your children best and I can only offer your my own advice and speak as a mother
<Sara> * Liana looks to Commodus. "Sometimes a wild card is exactly what's needed. Family lines aren't always straight, for a reason."
<Kaelan> ALita> "It's something we could actually do... I think. We've beaten him before."
<DeathStar> <Kaiser> *he looks at Miyuki* Do you think your group can manage that before I have to begin the process?
<DeathStar> <Kaiser> I will set it up so that Hapes can have a choice in stepping up, though I doubt he will
<Stretch> Mykel> 12"Right now Jules has the support of the people for his stance against the Amazons..."6 He glances to Commodus and nods, 12"none taken, if I came into that arena without overwhelming support it would be a disaster. The only real option is for Hapes to step forward as a legitimate heir."

<Kaelan> Alita> "That would take locating Hapes and convincing him."
<Kaelan> Alita> "And possibly keeping his brother out of the way."
<DeathStar> 6* Kaiser Julies nods. "Then it is in the Amazons field. Jules may be right and they are angling for war after that attack. He said he has sources that indicate the queen is fully backing it."
<AquaKoala> Commodus> Hapes will come. He abhors the neverending war.
<Sara> <Liana> I don't think even Jules would dare protest if the decision were made.
