<DeathStar> Geyze - The Academy - 1.29.5991
<DeathStar> Commodus has returned home to the Legion leaving the team low on manpower, but this doesn’t prevent the missions from coming in; Shion still acting as the Headmistress updates the remaining Unit Members, the means of returning Shade are dubious, and the Hapian Holy Knights are running rampant enforcing their own ideal of ‘justice’. Before they try to limit the actions of the Holy Order, the Unit is to be dispatched to a town on the border between the Hapian and Amazon kingdoms where the body of the Rogue Magi Leader has been found dead. Vyvy temporarily rejoins the team to assist, taking a break from her Spirit Training with Kalam. Miyuki takes the opportunity to show off the new kittens.
<DeathStar> Open Space - The Aquarius
<DeathStar> With the recent skirmish on the Shapeshifter Homeworld, and recovery of another Centerpoint shard, the crew is receiving an update from Sen before they make a decision on their next course; to other known planets in the Crytok Empire or into uncharted space where they may encounter new races. It is evident however that there is a rift developing between Saoirse and Erica.
<DeathStar> Kumen - The Club
<DeathStar> As members of the crew relax and muse what the next job will be, a corporation board member is seen in the club flirting with the various fauna and aurit girls there; Asarar decides that it’s a perfect opportunity to get a bug planted for intel gathering purposes. In an attempt to not solicit suspicion, Riki and one of the phiglettes are tasked with the plant; no sooner do they start to approach before the Bio-Tech Board Member grabs at his chest and dies in the midst of a crowded dance floor. Asarar, Kira and crew quickly trying to ascertain whether this was murder or extremely bad luck when a natural death has occurred…before calling the police and playing it ‘by the book’.
<DeathStar> Geyze - Amazon / Hapian Border
<DeathStar> Unit 6 arrives at the border town to find several Amazonian Guards already present and initially warning them away, then their commander speaks up; Gwen, apparently freed from sharing bodies with his sister, is in charge and welcomes the members of Unit 6. As the various members compare notes and examine the body, Undine arrives to transport it to a safer location; Undine however compares the body to a puppet that has had its strings cut, and Alita and Sasha suggest that perhaps the soul of the Rogue Magi was transferred into another body seeing as his had been left crippled due to torture at the hands of Legionaire guestioners. With the body moved, the unit engages Salamander to return them to the Academy.
<DeathStar> Kumen - The Club
<DeathStar> With the dead board member come police...and questions to answer. The Chief Investigator, William Tell, has arrived and started poking around, asking the witnesses and crewmembers about the incident; first suspicions falling upon Riki due to her approaching him, however a phone call that comes into Tell leaves little to reason to doubt that there is more going on. All of the police being ordered out, the body to be taken to a morgue; Tell informs Asarar that this wasn’t the only death to occur, fifteen other Corporate Exec’s and Board Members suffered a similar death. There’s also been a message sent to the local news agencies, claiming responsibility and cause for this on the recent Geyze / Kumen relations; this is retaliation on behalf of the spirits, and the spirit names of those responsible are being used to kill.
<DeathStar> Open Space - The Aquarius
<DeathStar> As the ship moves towards uncharted space, alarms start going off; news from Kumen reaching the Aquarius and telling them of the deaths of the Corporate Members. Fear quickly grips the bridge crew, seeing as the Aquarius is blamed for some of tense relations; Yuki suggesting to sever all communications with Kumen before an attempt is made on Erica’s life since she is the Captain. Airym tries to inform Sen of the decision to cut communications, however there is no response; Yuki and several others fearing that Sen may have been targeted as well. Yulindhe reveals that the ‘true names’ are something that she as a spirit can see written in each person’s heart.

They are currently in Shion's office, who is leaning back, hands steepled together

<Sathen> 6*Mykel looks between Alita and Sasha seeing as it's their theory.*
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "It is a theory, but we cannot rule it out until we have evidence otherwise."
<Seraphna> * Anyata nods. "It's that or the woman murdered him, but the nature of his death suggests the soul left the body as a reason for death."

<Jackieness> <Sasha> "His previous body was in bad shape for an extended period. Were he capable of jumping to a new form at any time, he likely would have done so sooner."
<DeathStar> 6* Shion's datapad beeps. She moves over to it, the datapad in pieces and connected with what looks like spirit-tech to try to give the dying datapads life on this world that hates technology
<Seraphna> * Alita tilts her head at the odd possibly Kumen device.
<Sathen> 6*Miyasha tries to paw the datapad into silence from her perch on the desk near SHion*
<DeathStar> 6* Shion puts the datapad to her ear. "Yuki? Yes, I'm fine, auntie too." 6* She pets Kasha
<kalonLappy> 6*Ceilia tries to get a better look at it
<Sara> * Liana sits quietly
<DeathStar> <Shion> ... what? 6* Her ears goes back and she pauses, snapping her fingers at Sasha. "Get Kalam back. Call your spirits on hand. Can any of you summon one?"
<Seraphna> * Alita blinks. "Liana can summon Celsius?"
<Sathen> Mykel> "I believe we all gained Undine's favor before...though I doubt she'd answer me."
<Sara> <Liana> Um... Yes. I can summon Celsius...
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Proceed Liana."
<Sara> * Liana touches her ring
<DeathStar> 6* Shion hangs up the device, then sits down, trying to get into the Kumen news.
<DeathStar> 6* Celsius appears, twirling and peering about shyly
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Lady Celsius, we need to bring Kalam back immediately."
<Sathen> 6*Mykel looks to Shion curiously* "What's the concern?"
<DeathStar> <Shion> Screw it. *She sends Wolfe a text message to send her the local Kumen news to her datapad, then leans back, peering at them*
<DeathStar> 6* Celsius pauses, then nods, vanishing
<DeathStar> <Shion> Wait a moment for the other two to get here.
<Seraphna> * Alita waits patiently, used to the lead up.
<DeathStar> 6* Shion drums her fingers, musing. "So what do you suggest, Sasha, we do about the magi leader? Where do you think they'll go?"
<DeathStar> 6* Isis quietly enters the room, listening, sitting on a chair with two kittens
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Unfortunately, we do not know their movements over the tiem sicne they escaped from the Legion and turning up dead. There is practically nothing solid to go on."
<GhostChain> 6*Miyuki's ear twitches as she listens, coiled around the other two
<DeathStar> <Shion> So no ideas into their personality, what they might do now they think they have anomity?
<DeathStar> 6* Shion peers at her datapad for the news footage from Wolfe, multitasking as she talks
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Their previous pattern was to try to trigger conflict between the kingdoms. However, we do not know what they had to gain or who they could have been in league with."
<Sathen> Mykel> "We unfortunately don't know what the Rogue Magi's goals were to begin with...except to destabilize the kingdoms and force us into wars with each other..."
<Seraphna> * Alita pauses. "They also have a heavy desire to reclaim the Tower."
<kalonLappy> <Ceilia> Yeah. My tower. 6*She grumbles
<kalonLappy> 6*She knows it's not really hers but she treats it like it's her baby
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *glances over at Ceilia* "...the tower we left in control of the Aska-allied portion of the Magi tamae."
<Sara> * Liana peers around between everyone as she listens
<Seraphna> Alita> "On the plus side they're not fans of the old Magi either."
<DeathStar> 6* There's a poof and Kalam, Vyvy, and Celsius appear
<DeathStar> <Kalam> Good job, Vyvy. I am proud of you
<DeathStar> 6* Kalam pats her on the back, looking around

<DeathStar> 6* All about the same time. High ranking corporate officals across multiple Corporations, all ones that had a hand in mining Geyzew
<Seraphna> Alita> "Looks like someone is striking back at Kumen on a very direct level."
<Sathen> 6*Mykel watches it curiously* "This isn't going to end well now..."
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "If they connect the dots... then retribution could happen."
<Kemonohime> <Vyvy> Th-Thanks, teacher." She jerks at the sight of the news bulletin
<DeathStar> <Shion> Worse. 16 men dying with no sign of cause or poison?
<Seraphna> Alita> "Mmm, only if they somehow determine the person doing this isn't a fanatic from Kumen. I have heard they have quite a few people who adopt our world as a sort of spiritual balm."
<DeathStar> <Shion> Then Yuki told me something their spirit said
<DeathStar> <Shion> Spirits can see true names.
<Kemonohime> <Vyvy> ...! .." She peers to the side
<DeathStar> 6* Shion peers at Kalam, who blinks and leans back at that.
<Kemonohime> * Reaching over her partially obscured eye that she usually had an eyepatch over until recently
<Seraphna> Alita> "Well something seems to normally keep them from disclosing that information if this is the first time we've heard this..."
<DeathStar> <Kalam> It makes sense. True names are really spirit names. True names are a false term
<Sathen> Mykel> "So that stands to suggest that a Spirit either committed or is assisting the person responsible."
<DeathStar> <Kalam> The other name came from misunderstanding with other races and Kalam. At birth, Spirits give people a Spirit Name.
<Sathen> Mykel> "But I could swear that I'd heard that Kumen had no Spirits."

<Jackieness`> <Sasha> "Ultimately, it won't matter where its from. They are likely still angered by the cessation of mining operations on Geyze. This could be the justification the agitators on Kumen needed."
<Sathen> 6*Mykel returns the look to Liana* "I'm not disputing that Mistress."

<DeathStar> <Kalam> I--- *she hesitates* No? I mean, I don't know what spirits name who. I would assume Shade names the Daemons. Aska the Hapians. But that might not necessarily be true
<DeathStar> 6* Celsius tilts her head while listening. Gwen sits in a chair, listening
<Seraphna> Alita> "Especially if people are being named with no apparent spirits nearby to do so."
<DeathStar> <Shion> Shade is gone. Someone has to be naming the new daemons

<Sathen> Mykel> "My point in what I was saying was that since this happened on Kumen, then it stands to reason that the party responsible is also there. How could somebody know their Spirit Names without the assistance of a Spirit?"
<DeathStar> <Shion> I don't know. Maybe a person is doing it. But the point is this is related to the spirits. You know what this is going to lead to

<Sathen> Mykel> "Indeed, retaliation against the kingdoms of Geyze."
<DeathStar> <Shion> Everyone back to your rooms. It's getting late and I have calls I should make
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Yes, headmistress."
<Sara> * Liana frowns but stands and bows before stepping out as orderer
<DeathStar> <Shion> Right now the magi is on hold. It's not like they're going to walk in

<DeathStar> 6* Gwen hops up
<Seraphna> * Alita pauses at her saying that.
<Seraphna> Alita> "Are we sure about that?"
<DeathStar> <Gwen> Hm? Heh, you saying the rogue magi leader is going to walk in here like a new student?
<Seraphna> Alita> "He or she currently thinks we don't know what they look like."
<Seraphna> Alita> "And could easily impress the Tamae with their skills."
<Sathen> 6*Mykel will wait for Alita and Ceilia* "If he has jumped into a new body, then he has anonymity on his side and could infiltrate anywhere."
<DeathStar> <Shion> The graduates will be finishing up in 2 months. We're taking students between now and the next 4
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Enough speculation for tonight. Turn in everyone." *moves out of shion's office*

<Kemonohime> * Vyvy discreetly glances at people one by one with her 'normal' eye covered

<Sara> * Liana pets Celsius' hair as she walks along toward her room

<DeathStar> 6* Even though it is dark, there are lines of people to be hopeful students come the 4th month. They stand about, being checked in by bored Tamae leaders. Except the daemon tamae, who is always chipper.

<Kemonohime> * Vyvy follows Kalam, now glancing over the lines

<Sathen> 6*Mykel notes the look, also peering over the new students and paying mind to his own senses*

<Seraphna> * Alita sighs a little. But focuses more on the other students than Maeda's most recently drinking fountain.
<DeathStar> 6* Karen walks by them, heading for Shion's office, studying the group

<DeathStar> 6* There's about 90 students left over all, all crowded together
<DeathStar> <Gwen> Trying to spot someone in a line would be impossible, I think
<DeathStar> <Gwen> Especially if she changed her looks
<Seraphna> Alita> "Seems that way... I could give each of the instructors a copy of the picture?"
<Sathen> 6*Mykel sighs and takes a breath, closing his eyes as he waits by Alita*
<DeathStar> <Gwen> Could try. But each Tamae specializes in something. That might help cut down where she is if she ish ere at all
<DeathStar> *He pats Alita, before moving to the Unit Building to get his stuff packeD*
<Seraphna> * Alita nods and gives a picture to each of the Tamae instructors that would take in magically adept students, since the Mage Tamae is just one way Mana can be manipulated. But she definately makes sure both sides of her own Tamae have a picture. She asks they report anyone fitting that to her or Shion.

<Sathen> 6*Mykel will follow along with Alita and Ceilia, looking to the students as they pass by*
<DeathStar> 6* The Magi Tamae peers at the child drawing of brown hair to the mid back, blue eyes, white skin, and big smile
<DeathStar> <Magi Tamae> Not much to go on. 6* He passes a similiar student. "You could have dozens that might fit that."
<Seraphna> * Alita explains, and also provides an approximation from her own craft.
<Seraphna> Alita> "I made this... it might also not help much, but it will narrow down the search for us."
<DeathStar> 6* A long dark haired girl walks up, peering at Alita and Mykel nervously, signing her name. The Magi Tamae waves her through

<DeathStar> 6* The dark haired girl gives a nervous smile back
<DeathStar> <Magi Tamae> At least it seems we mostly have other races than human if you want to stand here
<Seraphna> * Alita peers her over quietly taking a mental picture for later. Since nervousness can simply be that of a common new student.
<Sara> * Liana sits in the common room of the unit and lets out a long breath.
<Sathen> 6*Mykel looks after the girl, moving closer to see if the feeling is from the girl*
<Seraphna> * Alita shakes her head. "I will turn in. Just let me know how many fitting the description and track their names if it's not too much trouble."
<DeathStar> 6* A short haired, buzz cut, dark haired, dark eyed student walks up, ignoring Alita and Mykel as she signs her name
<Sathen> Mykel> <Wait a second...there's something wrong...>

<Sara> <Liana> Yeah... it's pretty amazing. But in the same regard... it makes me scared deep down, because there's so much in this world that could harm her before I can teach her to fend for herself.

<Seraphna> * Alita looks back at Buzz cut and gives her a wry smile, as though impressed with her.

<Sara> <Liana> For the time being. *she notes softly* It's hard to stop worrying once you're a mother, sister-in-law.
<Sara> * Liana smiles at Gwen, knowing she can protect herself but still happy
<DeathStar> 6* The hooded figure finishes with a girlyl ike signature and moves to shuffle on with a stack of books

<Sathen> 6*Mykel will move closer towards the Mage Tamae area, trying to feel a bit more if he can zero in on that odd feeling*
<DeathStar> 6* The odd feeling seems to be the looks the girls are giving him
