<DeathStar> 6* Shion rubs her eyes, having not slept in a few days as she reads over reports sent to them from their spies in the Holy Alliance
<Seraphna> * Alita is nearby the mage tamae training, observing while not busy. She's been working to get closer with the remaining suspects since she can play the role of a helpful graduate.

<Seraphna> * Alita nods. "When it comes to tomes, I'm the girl to look to."
<DeathStar> <Magi Leader> We think the tomes are hidden somewhere in these temples, but we can't find them. You all seem more adept at finding such things. If not in the temple, perhaps in other old ruins. *he hands her drawings of what they look like; there seems to be 3 of them*

<Kemonohime> * Kasha drops onto Gwen's shoulder, smirking at the lack of reaction.

<Kemonohime> <Kasha> And how are you getting along with the female students now, Gwen?
<DeathStar> 6* The other tamae leaders take note of Alita doing work again and make a note of it
<DeathStar> <Gwen> Many of them a-are asking me out now.
<Kemonohime> <Kasha> Oh? That's a rebound.

<DeathStar> 6* Shion clears her throat, doing a headcount
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Where is Alita?"
<Seraphna> * Alita rejoins Ceilia. <We'll be there in a moment, love.>
<Seraphna> * Alita heads to the meeting with her twin in tow.
<Stretch> Mykel> "She is off with the Magi Tamae, she'll be here shortly."
<Stretch> Mykel> "Along with Ceilia."
<DeathStar> <Shion> We'll begin without here. *she peers at Mykel a little at that, her tone tightening*
<DeathStar> <Shion> Our insiders in the Alliance have given us information that I have made copies for you
<DeathStar> <Shion> We know now that only a few kingdoms are left that have not joined the Holy Alliance. And that Kumen knows about it, and the spaceports.
<Stretch> 6*Mykel will relay what Shion says without omission to Alita until she gets there, looking over at the documents as well*
<DeathStar> 6* She puts on her glasses. "They have risen a large army now, thanks to the combined kingdoms. It seems that Eve is in charge, with the Empress backing her, during the meetings with the heads of states. The Empress is still running Hapian, but the Alliance is Eve's."
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "...of course, it is..."
<DeathStar> 6* She glances at Sasha. "From what I understand, the only three people with a chance to get at Aska is you, Sasha, Celes, and Liana."
<Sara> * Liana frowns just a bit at the situation but looks to Sasha
<Seraphna> * Alita arrives with Ceilia and takes a seat with Mykel, bowing apologetically for being late but otherwise not interrupting.
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "The burden shall be mine. Let Celes and Liana live their lives and nurture their family."
<Sara> <Liana> W... With all do respect, Commander, couldn't you use any help you can get in a situation like this?
<DeathStar> <Shion> Maybe. But let me go on. The Alliance is growing great. *she peers at her mother* Anyone with a dark element is growing weaker. I've had Vyvy measured in power several times over the months and her strength is decaying. Soon she will have no power at all. If you are a daemon you are growing weaker too, but at a lesser rate. I predict all daemons will be too weak to do any fighting in a year. If you are a daemon that is darkness elemental. *she waves a hand at Karen* Your strength is decaying even faster. I predict in 2 months
<DeathStar> <Shion> Now I know not many here are dark elemental yet, that you have to get to a certain strength to have that. Vyvy only has it because of Shade
<Seraphna> * Alita sighs a bit in worry. "It has been weighing on me."
<DeathStar> <Shion> But it seems your good or bad alignment can do the same thing
<Stretch> 6*Mykel pats Alita's thigh to settle and reassure her, letting Shion continue without interruption*
<DeathStar> <Shion> I don't much understand it, but those who fall more under Aska's banner morality is growing stronger, or under Shade's morality is growing weaker.
<DeathStar> <Shion> Either way, in a few months, a whole group of people will no longer be able to fight.
<Seraphna> Alita> "Including some of the team."
<Sara> * Liana frowns at the thought, but stays quiet
<DeathStar> <Shion> The daemons, a morality, dark elementals, etc. Some of us will get stronger, some of will grow weaker
<DeathStar> 6* She peers at her mother. "I think we only have a few weeks left in which we can do anything."
<GhostChain> <Miyuki> it pains me to consider this but we truely will have to pull back on our neutral standing...
<DeathStar> 6* She turns back to Sasha. "So again, if there's a few of you that can get to Aska, I am not sure we can afford not to."
<DeathStar> <Gwen> Can one change how they are inside?
<Sara> <Liana> I think we all control who we are... but it also controls us.
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "I have been making preparations..."
<Sara> * Liana looks at Sasha
<DeathStar> <Karen> As a daemon, our morality is in alignment a lot with how Shade is. It is a way of life
<DeathStar> 6* The young princess closes her eyes
<Seraphna> Alita> "I have been wondering if synching myself up more with Mykel might help me change my core morality somewhat."
<Stretch> Mykel> "With respect Headmistress, I don't think we do; the Academy's goal is to ensure peace, pursuing it between Kumen and Geyze is just an extension of that goal."
<GhostChain> <Miyuki> I am, painfully, aware of that
<DeathStar> <Shion> And what preparations is that, Sasha?
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Research into recreating a new blood bond with Aska to balance the one that Eve has."
<Seraphna> Alita> "Do we have any new ideas on reviving Shade?"
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "That is the other piece... we need to balance Light with Dark."
<Stretch> Mykel> "That may give us time where the Alliance isn't as organized, it won't negate the issue of individuals weakening."
<DeathStar> <Karen> I am still looking into ideas
<DeathStar> <Karen> All the spirits seem unhelpful so far
<DeathStar> <Karen> I thought I had it figured out with one of the prophecies
<DeathStar> <Gwen> Well, one of them came true. *he muses*
<Seraphna> Alita> "Sometimes following a prophecy to the letter is the exact means by which we miss it's actual meaning."
<Sara> <Liana> OR cause it to be true in terrible ways...
<Seraphna> Alita> "There is a base logic, Shade needs to be revived to save the world, but the how could have several meanings."
<Seraphna> Alita> "Otherwise the light will consume everything and then eventually itself."
<Sara> <Liana> It's ironic, isn't it... The idea of light doesn't work without the idea of darkness. Without both, it would be impossible to even see.
<Stretch> Mykel> "As well as several unforseen results."
<DeathStar> <Shion> Do you think Eve would accept, you, Sasha if you were to head back home with a small group?
<DeathStar> <Shion> Saying you wanted to rejoin her cause?
<DeathStar> <Shion> For now, Aska is our focus, Shade is not. If Aska can be brought to heel, then the crisis is over, right?
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "It is difficult to say. There is alot that has happened that I do not understand."
<DeathStar> 6* Shion peers at Miyuki. "What do you think?"
<DeathStar> <Gwen> It would be nice if we had something to offer them
<GhostChain> <Miyuki> I think we should at least attempt to bring her to heel, if theres any chance we can shorten this entire affair the better
<Seraphna> Alita> "It might at least buy us more time... if she can be convinced to reel herself in?"
<DeathStar> <Gwen> To show Sasha wants to join the group
<DeathStar> <Karen> The only thing would be Celes
<Seraphna> * Alita frowns a bit.
<Sara> <Liana> Sister-in-law, if there is any way I can help... this is one fight I would wish to help in. For my child's future, too.
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "I have no desire to hand Celes over to Eve and my aunt."
<Sara> <Liana> Mmm... and it's not like I could really do any good as bait myself.
<Sara> <Liana> And Selena, that would be out of the question...
<DeathStar> 6* Shion rubs her face, thinking, then stands up. "Alright, here is what we will do, then."
<Sara> * Liana listens
<DeathStar> <Shion> Sasha, if you choose to accept it. You will travel to the capital and pretend to want to join your cousin. Anyone else who wants to join Sasha will act like you are defectors. I would suggest mother go too and say she feels like I am not running this place right and chose to defect, but you have the kittens to think about.:"
<DeathStar> <Shion> Then when you have a moment when Eve's guard is down - it may take weeks - you try to find a way to wrest control of Aska.

<Seraphna> * Alita tilts her head. "I assume myself, Ceilia and Karen are out of the question, as we'd like be "fixed" with a pyre."

<Stretch> 6*Mykel looks to Alita and squeezes her thigh in sympathy* "It would also prove impossible for Vyvy to go since she harbors Shade's essence."

<Seraphna> Alita> "She might believe Liana idealistic and in the belief that she'd be able to protect her loved ones by going."

<DeathStar> 6* Celsius suddenly jerks about as if shocked by a barrier and falls, smoking, as she drops off anyone who came with Sasha.

<DeathStar> <Gwen> This doesn't look like the capital
<Stretch> 6*Mykel cracks his neck before getting to his feet, looking around to the others* "Everyone ok?"
<DeathStar> 6* Celsius lays on the ground, smoking
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Something cut the teleport short."
<Sara> <Liana>C-Celsius? You okay?

<Sara> * Liana moves to check on Celsius
<DeathStar> 6* Gwen pushes his hand forward, nothing blocking it, but something stopped Celsius sure as can be
<Stretch> Mykel> "Like the barrier that stopped us from going to the Amazon."
<DeathStar> 6* Celsius whines as she sits up
<Stretch> Mykel> "A barrier to stop other Spirits from traveling into the area."
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Dismiss Celsius so she cna recover. We'll have to proceeed on foot from here."
<Sara> * Liana nods. "Good work, Celsius. Go home and rest up a bit." She pats Celsius on the shoulder.
<DeathStar> 6* Celsius nods and vanishes. At that moment, a large group of 100 men and women with weapons surround them, coming out of trees and holes in the ground
<DeathStar> 6* Gwen jerks, not even able to pull his weapon free before a blade is at his throat
<DeathStar> <Gwen> A-ambush point
<Sara> * Liana deadpans, not letting herself break the ruse so quickly
<Sara> <Liana> Is this necessary?
<Stretch> 6*Mykel doesn't move at all, just slowly putting his arms out to the side to show that he is unarmed*
<Sara> * Liana glances at Sasha
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *raises her hands* "May I ask what the meaning of this is?"
<DeathStar> 6* A woman in a holy order gown peers at Liana, taking her weapons, then the others. "I should ask you the same thing. Why did you attempt to approach the Alliance City with a spirit?"
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Because of convenience and speed."
<Stretch> 6*Mykel calmly shows them where his sword is, strapped to his back and allows himself to be disarmed*
<DeathStar> <Holy Order General> And what is your business?
<DeathStar> 6* One of the captains speaks up. "I recognize them. They are from the academy. That one is the cousin of the Leader."
<DeathStar> 6* A murmur goes through the crowd.
<Stretch> 6*Mykel stays by Gwen* "Remind me to talk to my cousin about getting on better terms with Salamander...this probably wouldn't have happened if we'd used an allied Spirit."
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Family business. I am Sasha, daughterGgrand Duchess Lucera and niece to the Hapian empress."
<Kemonohime> <Kasha> Asking a spirit is a lot easier on the feet than hoofing it." She mumbles, rubbing her neck. For whatever reason she prefers her tattered and worn clothing
<DeathStar> 6* The general muses, then motions them toward a steel carriage. Gwen walks onto it and once they are all on it, the woman whistles and the carriage flies into the air, taking them toward the city

<DeathStar> 6* The Daemon Empress nods. Qui arrives via Undine and takes a seat, looking confused why she is here when she joined the Holy Alliance to act as a spy

<DeathStar> 6* When they reach the throne room, they find the Empress sitting there, the throne room cleared of people for once. She waves her hand, dismissing their Holy Alliance escort. The two captains open their mouths to complain but she peers at them with her stern faded red eyes, blue in them now, piercing. Her white hair still wild as ever
<DeathStar> <Empress> Go
<DeathStar> 6* The two captains turn and march out
<DeathStar> 6* Gwen swallows, still feeling the power in the Empress' eyes, even with it mostly faded
<Sara> * Liana doesn't seem quite so intimidated, keeping her cool as she glances at Sasha, following near her
<DeathStar> 6* The Empress studies them from her seat. "Sasha. You have returned. And you, Liana."
<Stretch> 6*Mykel waits silently behind and to Sasha's left*
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Yes, auntie. I have. May I approach the throne?"
<Kemonohime> * Kasha studies the empress silently.
<DeathStar> <Empress> Yes. Please do so.
<Sara> * Liana curtseys, letting Sasha handle things for the moment
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *moves toward her aunt's throne*
<DeathStar> 6* The Empress watches Sasha quietly, shifting as she reaches her
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *kneels down* "...I am here to say I am sorry for doubing you... I have begun to remember things about mother... that realizes that you were innocent of what she claimed."
<Kemonohime> * Kasha yawns, though not audibly or exaggeratedly so, peering around the room as she stands in vigil, neither greeting nor bowing or such.
<DeathStar> <Empress> My hands are not entirely clean. Stand up, dear Sasha. If you are remembering, you know that much
<DeathStar> <Empress> Me and my sister were both petty
<DeathStar> 6* She finishes a glass of wine and gets off the throne, moving to a window to peer out
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *rises to her feet* "Still..."
<DeathStar> <Empress> I lobotmized my own sister in a fight. That is my sin to bare. I could have tried to find another way to control the attack
<DeathStar> <Empress> I could have banished her or dealt with her. Separated you two

They believe in extreme faith tenets, and doing what is right, and chopping evil at the root. It seems Eve took it to heart, and that allowed her to use Aska's power to the fullest

<DeathStar> <Empress> Becareful with her, Sasha. Do not misstep. But at the same time, it is easy to manipulate her. If she trusts you, you can lie to her face. But the second she finds out, you will suffer for it

<Jackieness> <Sasha> *glances over* "...I imagine word has reached her ears now."
<DeathStar> 6* The Empress nods and steps back down as Eve walks in wearing her Holy Armor, gleaming. Her lond blonde hair down to her mid-back. She approaches Sasha and throws open her arms
<DeathStar> <Eve> Cousin! You have turned your back on the heretics!
<Stretch> 6*Mykel moves back and out of the way, pulling Gwen to the side with him so that they don't get caught in the middle*
<DeathStar> 6* Gwen watches. Many generals take up a circle and Jules walks in, wearing a golden armor too. He walks over, shaking Mykel's hand. And an Amazon general nods to Gwen in respect
<Sara> * Liana makes sure to step to a side as well, out of the way
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *turns and walks toward Eve* "Dearest cousin... I have found myself miserable and conflicted."
<Stretch> 6*Mykel gives a small smile and returns the shake; knowing that conversations and wine will likely fill the night once more*
<DeathStar> 6* Eve gives her a hug and nods. "I understand. It must be hard. I just wish Celes would understand as well and come back."

<Sara> * Liana bows her head at the mention of Celes
<DeathStar> 6* Eve turns and spots Liana, looking surprise and moves over. "Liana. Did you bring my niece?"

<Seraphna> * Alita nods quietly. She peers at the table.

<Kemonohime> <Vyvy> But if there's no other choice, I won't step aside.

<DeathStar> 6* Gi peers at Vyvy, then at Miyuki, as if getting mixed signals
<GhostChain> <Miyuki> I swear to you, we will always try to use the route most advantageous to us to prevent bloodshed...I ask this burden not only for us...but the children
<Kemonohime> <Vyvy> The more it's allowed to escalate the more the spirits will suffer and things such as Lady Shade will be repeated.
