<DeathStar> Maeryn leads half the team through the Great Forest, while Leaf leads the other half. Maeryn's half, composed of Kasha, Liana, Ceilia, Gwen, and Qui, trecked through the Venus territory, slowly making their way downward through the hardest part of the forest. Near the nighttime, though, the Great Forest began to catch on fire, and all signs pointed to the enemy setting it on fire to cover their tracks. With the thickness and size of the Great Forest, it quickly began to become an inferno, with the monsters roused and angered, leading to Maeryn's team being attacked by beasts and tentacle monsters. Even with Maeryn's talents with subduing monsters, the sheer numbered agitated proved to be harrowing.

<DeathStar> The Club team investigated the sites of the launches and learned that it seemed to be multiple Corporations in conjunction working together. Star Corps provided the shuttles, Bio-Tech provided the raw materials, and the Tech Corporation had a hand in supplying other materials. However, there were signs a fourth corporation might have been part of the alliance. However, during their investigations, the team was attached by the new Tech Runners, and their magic slammed into them, causing the ground to give out, trapping them in a corridor where summoners summoned images of Brooke and Salamander, using the combination to make the area a steam bath, weakening the team and severely wounding Asarar as she used her own powers to get them out. Retreating back to their club, they found Brooke unmolested but tired, coming to the conclusion that the other Runners are summoning from her without her permission, and must be doing the same with Salamander.

<DeathStar> Early morning, the team reaches the capital of both the Ents and the Venus, with the fire still a problem, exhausted. Once there, they prepare for a battle, figuring the inferno was meant to slow them down.

<DeathStar> 6* Leaf hops along ahead, then peers up at a blackness that pours along the forest, not recognizing it, then begins to cough from it. It being smoke

<DeathStar> 6* Shion pauses, eyeing the thick smoke pouring along, narrowing her eyes
<Chaintan> 6*Miyuki makes a face as she tries to push it back with an icy gale

<DeathStar> <Shion> If the enemy has set a fire to a forest this size, then the result will be devastating

<DeathStar> 6* Leaf hurries along in a panic. Shion follows, a troubled look. The thick, blackness of the smoke continues to grow for several long minutes as they move and soon they reach the area of it, a raging inferno that has consumed a huge area of the Great Forest ahead. Leaf stares in horror has the trees, which are as tall as skyscappers, burn

<Sathen> Mykel> Well this is going to be fun to deal with...
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *has a cloth tied over her face now* "I want these perpetrators brought to trial, questioned, and punished."

<Chaintan> <Miyuki> Shion, have the others look for anyone who might be overtaken by the smoke

<DeathStar> 6* The energy readings seem to be spirit-tech readings all over, small size, human size, and they seem to be precise readings elsehwere on Geyze at the same time. Oh, and there's a raging fire going on at Geyze at the same time the readings began
<DeathStar> <Yuki> I'm just wondering how they plan to get away. Their shuttles seem to be grounded - they know they can't get past us

<Sathen> *Kaylin checks the readings and headtilts* Peculiar, weapon modifications are still available on the Aquarius to assist with dampening fires...but that would require that we move closer into the planet.

<Jackieness> <Airym> "Perhaps that is their intention. To draw us from our orbital station toward the planet where we will be less able to intercept them all."
<DeathStar> <Yuki> Maybe. But what's up with those energy readings too. Bring us in, we'll try to put out the fire. Will foam hurt the trees?
<Chaintan> <Wolfe> especially with a fire that big it would be hard for us to not notice
<Jackieness> <Airym> "The foam is biodegradable."
<DeathStar> <Yuki> Them trap or not, do it. Airym, also try to figure out what the energy is
<Sathen> Kaylin> The modifications could be transfered to the Virgo. * keys up the modifications and bio-foam missiles *
<DeathStar> <Yuki> It seems whenever a signature in the forest occurs, another one somewhere else on Geyze happens a few seconds later
<Jackieness> <Airym> "Perhaps they have agents elsewhere on the planet."

<Sathen> Kaylin> Transponders? *Targets several of the larger fires with the foam missiles, programming them for a above-surface detonation to spread the contents over a larger area*

<Jackieness> <Airym> "If necessary, we could also use weapons to evaporate the surface of the ocean and drive the moisture inland, creating rain."

<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Spirit resources... though if they are targeting Gnome, they are ambitious indeed."
<Sathen> *Maeryn looks to Atropa and Cassava, bowing her head slightly*
<DeathStar> <Gi> Gnome is unmolested. No men of Kumen ever set foot in here. *sure enough, Gnome is healing the forest*

<Jackieness> <Sasha> "I would ensure that Lady Gnome is guarded at all moments until the last of these invaders have been brought to justice."

<kalonZombie> 6*Gor moves over to try and inspect the teleporter signals for signs of patterns or if they're still using them
<Jackieness> <Airym> "the attack on the forest may have been a diversion."
<DeathStar> 6* Right now it doesn't seem so
<DeathStar> <Yuki> Yeah, they knew they couldnt' get Gnome with all eyes on her, so they ran off to get other spirits I bet. But that teleport signature, no way it can reach Kumen. Impossible
<DeathStar> <Yuki> I mean, they would need something to either land on in space, or something to boost it
<Jackieness> <Airym> "Such as teleporting on to the Aquarius?"
<DeathStar> <Yuki> Yeah, but I doubt they'd do that. Suicide.

<kalonZombie> 6*Gor looks at the signal and tries implanting a virus or a worm that they won't catch until they try using them that will send them to a random destination into it, if at all possible

<Sathen> *Maeryn narrows her eyes, twin tentacles starting to raise up behind her shoulders* If she gets full...I will take over. I'm certain a few of my fellows would be happy to assist as well.

<DeathStar> 6* It seems there was no sign of Void, and those that remain alive explain that Void apparantly gave up without a fight, for some reason, and teleported along with them, hence no need for the ship. Shade explains that void is so neutral, that he just goes with the flow
