I think having some of the experience we had with having spirits around, as well as all the problems we've gone through, will have made those who don't believe in these things a little more active or aware, though. And there's always the quiet ones who never said anything and were drowned out
<Sara> by the selfish consumers.
<Sara> <Erica> There's been a war between the various Corporations on the world for a long time, in various capacities... some more overt than others. In many ways, it's natural that Corporation help would also be possible... but similarly, it's at least one Corporation that made this 'cause' -- the spirit-taking cause -- more public.

<Sara> <Erica> The last thing I would want is for all of this to escalate into a war between our worlds instead of something more personal... and I believe you can help us make sure it doesn't come to that.

<Sara> <Erica> Which is also why I have the headmistress from Geyze's Academy here, Lady Miyuki-- Um... *she pauses, unusually caught off guard by not actually recalling Miyuki's last name*

<DeathStar> <Shiki> *nods softly* But I always thought that their world has thousands of spirits.

<Sara> <Erica> Yes and no. There are a few different categories of spirit -- the Great Spirits, I think it was, are the ruling spirits that basically bring about the rest, from my understanding. Hence also why we got some of them with the Great Spirits' presence.
<Sara> <Erica> But the catch is that when they are taken away from a world, they seem to be lost to that world, over time. In the absence of their water spirit, Geyze began to dry up, for example.

<Chaintan> <Miyuki> even if just a handful were randomly taken it would cause devistation
<Chaintan> <Miyuki> each spirit has its own unique personality, its not unlike a person in that regard, so its more akin to kidnapping than taking
<DeathStar> <Yuki> She's right. The sprites might not, but the spirits, you can't remove them. You'd be torturing a real person

<Sara> <Erica> We're trying to spread messages against the spirit-theft idealogy that's been going around recently, and breed some understanding of how the spirits actually work, in hopes of a greater understanding and a group of people in support against these things... better understanding in general, in a sense
<Sara> <Erica> This world is at constant risk of war when it isn't at war outright. Stealing spirits is just going to make us drag more than our world into it. Our world has been so selfish for so long... but I think we can change this.

<Sara> <Erica> Whereas if we are instead stealing that wonderment, it will just bring both worlds horrible things. Lady Miyuki?
<DeathStar> <Ymir> I know. *nods* We are trying to work on bringing back fertile without stealing or abusing spirits. We'll work with you. Maybe if we can use our tech runners to take data that will expose their true goal - they aren't doing this for the people
