Barry hits a button and alerts the office, and Asarar adjusts the computer, viewing a camera of the outside group

<DeathStar> <Cypher> But we're not set up with spirit tech. Chelsea would have to do it before Losco gets the Corporations to foreclose the power and yank the rent on the entire strip

<DeathStar> <Barry> The question is can they get our buildings too. All the Corporation will have to do is claim our building is in the way of plans to build a park or something for the community

<DeathStar> 6* The security goon leads them up to a lavish office with a large wooden desk from Geyze, a view of Quad 7, and Henry the Second turns to face them. The goon gives Cookie a look before taking his spot. Henry II moves over to Erica and shakes her hand

<DeathStar> 6* The Tech Corp is usually known for where Tech Runners begin their days, since the Cavet family always hires new Runners, but so far due to his hatred, none of the summoni Runners or magic users have been hired and he's slowly being eaten alive by the other Corps

<Sara> <Erica> We've actually come here to discuss something of a political matter in which we are seeking help and allies.

<Sara> <Erica> Although if you have anything you'd be interested in offering for our ship, we'd love to work out a deal, certainly!

<Sara> <Erica> Recently there have been those among the Corporations who have been spreading the beliefs that we should take Geyze's spirits for our own and exploit their power.
<Sara> <Erica> ...I understand that you have some problems of your own with spirits, but I wish you hear me out.

<Sara> <Erica> This is Miyuki, head of the Academy on Geyze. And these two... *she gestures to Undine and Salamander*
<DeathStar> <Henry II> Kumen playing with those spirits led to the creation of one who killed my father. Yes, I have a problem. The one never did get punished. *He sips his wine, his face dark*
<DeathStar> 6* He peers at Miyuki
<Chain> 6*Miyuki places her hand on his knee
<Chain> <Miyuki> I am sorry for your loss
<DeathStar> <Henry II> Thank you
<Sara> * Erica nods, somberly
<Luci> * Cookie nods. Keeping her attention on Henry's emotions.
<Chain> <Miyuki> but you are a smart man, you know that even if you turned a blind eye to the situation, it will not ease your pain or grief. It will not change anything and will not bring your father back

<Sara> <Erica> We want to stop these who want to spread this mentality of spirit theft and spirit exploitation, and prevent them from doing it.
<Sara> <Erica> It's one step closer to peace, I think.
<Chain> <Miyuki> selling you would be an insult, theres no profit to be made, we are hear to discuss and nothing more

<DeathStar> 6* He leans back, his thoughts, to Cookie, a rollarcoast of thought and emotion
<DeathStar> <Henry II> So you want to stop the other three Corporations from bringing more spirits into Kumen
<Sara> <Erica> Not necessarily, but we don't want thefts to occur or other shady and by-force things... we want to bring an understanding among the people as well, now that these Corporations have spread propoganda
<DeathStar> <Henry II> You know that will make you the most hated people on Kumen. The PResident's popularity is already taking. If the three corporations weren't stupid enough to openly revolt, and did another vote, she'd likely lose with how much she is.

<DeathStar> <Henry II> The people are tired of synthetic pets, stale air, tainted water
<Sara> <Erica> Not if we get the support of every other Corporation we can. We have, for example, the support of Shiki Nueage.
<Sara> <Erica> We want Kumen to get better -- we do want that.
<Sara> <Erica> But we feel there is a better way than destroying another planet.
<Sara> * Erica nods to Miyuki, feeling she can help
<Luci> Cookie> *closes her eyes a moment so she's not swept up by it* "Or this one... the immediate benefits of the spirits are masking the long term consequences."

<Chain> <Miyuki> we do not want to condemn more people to suffer, however, improvments should not be made through the enslavement and exploitation of anything or anyone else. thats what got us into this mess to begin with
<Luci> * Cookie peers up, listening to his emotions again as he speaks.

<DeathStar> <Henry II> Is that the spirit's name? Then yes.
<Sara> <Erica> She was our spirit originally... and she never knew much about the world. That is one of the flaws of Kumen's system of creating spirits right now. *she beckons to Mireille*
<DeathStar> <Henry II> If that is done, you have the full backing of my Corporation. I will even use my tech to work on trying to find spirits that can do what real spirits do
<DeathStar> 6* Mireille trots out with her doll. Henry II peers at her.
<DeathStar> <Henry II> She looks rather young. Seems impractical
<Sara> <Erica> This is Mireille. She is like Cam'dee's older sister.

<Sara> <Erica> Undine here, was also reverted to a childlike form for a time, and forgot all that she knew.
<DeathStar> 6* Undine removes the coat. Henry jumps a little

<DeathStar> 6* Yulindhe slides out from under the couch

<DeathStar> <Henry> ... there seems to be quite a lot of spirits... here...
<Sara> <Erica> What I can say is that we have learned much about the Spirits, and how they can be used, or misused... and further, we are aware of a man who manipulated Cam'dee and misled her into the murder... under pretenses of "making the world better and safer".
<Chain> <Miyuki> there is also a lot of people here
<DeathStar> <Yuki> Unfortunately Mireille and Yulindhe do not control the elements. Mireille poiwers things and Yulindhe can combine with people
<Chain> 6*Miyuki nods to Erica
<Sara> <Erica> Spirits are like very powerful people... they have personalities, memories, and they are fallible. However, I am saying this for one simple reason.
<Sara> <Erica> I ask that if she is put to trial, and by some circumstance, is judged not guilty -- that that can be enough.
<Sara> <Erica> And that you will understand.
<Sara> * She says this softly, a sympathetic look on her face
<Chain> <Miyuki> Erica, if I may
<DeathStar> <Henry> If that is what is decided. *He pours himself more wine, peering at them* It is why I picked them and not my Corporation. I cannot be biased
<DeathStar> 6* He sips the wine rather heartfully, peering at all the spirits
<Chain> 6*she then turns to Henry again
<Sara> * Erica sits and listens
<Chain> <Miyuki> again, I understand your grief, but I want you to also understand, that now, you will know, there was a period where Cam'dee was incapable of making her choices for herself, she was being used by someone else. and like anyone else, spirit or not the one who is guilty is the one who pulled the strings and exploited the people involved and the situation provided.
<Chain> <Miyuki> if you can sit whole heartedly, and still make the same request, then we will do as you say. But you cannot play ignorant to the full story
<DeathStar> <Henry> I have to make it, and if it comes out as that.... Then I have to accept it. *his emotions do seem to flicker about wondering what it means if spirits cannot make choices for themselves, but it's something he won't let go*
