<DeathStar> 6* The building being 40 floors tall, much like a Corporation building; infact, the main Ani'Mon Corporation HQ looms behind it, 20 floors taller.
<Sathen_Gor> *Kaylin peeks over Yuki's shoulder at the datapad* So is this the current target for review?
<DeathStar> 6* The building seems maintained still, but the lights are off and parking lot abandoned. A lone security gate, high tech, keeps people out. Yuki walks toward it quietly with Mireille trotting along behind her.
<Kaelan> * Cookie walks with her, peering around and keeping her senses up.
<Jackieness> <Airym> *tilts her head and approches the gate as well*
<DeathStar> <Yuki> Yes it is. The registry remains unclaimed currently, tied up in the court system, meaning the President of Kumen technically owns it I guess, until the claimaint comes back for it. The Ani'Mon Corporation has made several claims for it over the years but with them gone, I guess they won't win it.
<Sathen_Gor> *Kaylin keeps in step, her eyes scanning the building itself for signs of activity from the windows*
<DeathStar> 6* Yuki uses the card she got to open the security gate
<Jackieness> <Airym> "Curious that they would be so keen to claim it."
<DeathStar> <Yuki> Well, they did business with them, perhaps there is tech in here.
<Kaelan> Cookie> "A good ruse. Show interest in claiming something you already own so that no one suspects it's yours to begin with."
<DeathStar> 6* Mireille follows along, peering around the parking lot as they approach the building.
<kalonZombie> 6*Gor looks around as well, keeping an ear out
<Sathen_Gor> *Kaylin listens to the others as they proceed, her eyes focused on the building itself*

<Kaelan> Cookie> "Who says they did."
<Sathen_Gor> Kaylin> Tactically speaking, keeping the buildings outer offices empty would allow the interior work spaces to be used without notice from the outside.

<DeathStar> <Yuki> Good point. *she reaches for the door, working to use the keys and finds the president keys not working*
<DeathStar> <Yuki> Herm, we might need you, Mireille. The keys aren't matching.
<DeathStar> 6* Shade steps up with Vyvy, both wearing different clothing than when they left Kumen the other day, having bought some clothes to fit in
<Jackieness> <Airym> "This adfds weight to Kaylin's theory. They changed the locks."
<Sathen_Gor> *Kaylin looks to Shade and Vyvy being present before pulling her assault rifle* I could blow the locks if required.
<DeathStar> 6* Mireille works on the locks, setting her rabbit down and adjusting her clothes

<DeathStar> 6* Yuki turns and jerks at seeing Vyvy and Shade there, nearly screaming

<Kaelan> * Cookie covers her mouth.

<Kemonohime> <Vyvy> Yo." She says, mimicing Hope from the other world-- then pauses, guessing most won't get it.
<Sathen_Gor> *Kaylin attaches a silencer to her rifle* Oh yes, apparently we have been accompanied by a member of the Academy...is that troublesome?
<DeathStar> 6* Mireille interfaces with the door, her clothing becoming more see throughish, showing her body as she works on fighting the code, focusing. Her age about 14ish, then she slams open the lock and her clothes reappear.
<DeathStar> <Mireille> Done. I have quelled the building AI.
<Kemonohime> * Vyvy tilts her head, she's always worn clothing more accustomed to Kumen anyway, for whatever reason.
<DeathStar> <Yuki> Shade. Vyvy. I am surprised to see you two here.
<Jackieness> <Airym> "Very imprssive, Mireille."
<Kemonohime> <Vyvy> Are you? The vine tells me that my past and a certain pesky corporate head is involved in your search." She smiles.
<DeathStar> 6* Mireille bows and opens the door, skipping in
<Sathen_Gor> *Kaylin will step in through the open door, her weapon raised and scanning the interior*

<DeathStar> 6* Yuki eyes her datapad.

<DeathStar> 6* The lobby area looks dusty, but at one time it was likely very high tech. Mireille focuses and the lights come on, with the business logo coming on
<DeathStar> 6* Apparantly the business working in delivery services, computer programming, and building personal AIs.
<Sathen_Gor> *Kaylin looks around the lobby for footsteps in the dust or other signs of activity*
<DeathStar> 6* Each area having their own floors. A smaller sign lists where the servants are located, as well as the family floors.
<Jackieness> <Airym> *walks over and moves behind the reception desk*
<DeathStar> 6* There appears to be no signs of footsteps recently
<Kaelan> Cookie> "This place is built like a base of sorts, with the living areas and such."
<DeathStar> <Yuki> *she peres behind the desk, eyeing the computer* It has 40 floors, I imagine it needed quite the staff
<Sathen_Gor> *Kaylin moves to check the elevator lobby as well as where a stairwell should be*

<Jackieness> <Airym> *looks for a building directory*
<DeathStar> 6* The elevator and stairwell all seem to be intact. The computer on the desk works, showing information. It shows a Catherine Snowell as the company director. Her offices/living quarters on the top five floors.
<DeathStar> 6* A picture of girl about 13 is on the wall, with Company Director above her head.
<kalonZombie> 6*Gor looks to see what floor the AI is physically housed
<Jackieness> <Airym> "The director's offices and living quarters are located in the penthouse."
<Kemonohime> <Vyvy> That's the director..? She's so young.
<Sathen_Gor> *Kaylin scans the picture to her datareader for future reference*
<DeathStar> 6* The building's AI seems to be the top five floors too, likely to protect it.
<Kaelan> * Cookie looks over the picture curiously.
<Kemonohime> * Vyvy moves over, peering at the picture
<Kemonohime> <Vyvy> ... Wait... Cath... erine..?
<DeathStar> 6* Shade stands behind Vyvy, a hand on her shoulder
<kalonZombie> <Gor> Looks like we should start at the top five floors.
<DeathStar> <Yuki> Remember, information might have been changed or altered
<DeathStar> 6* Yuki eyes the girl's portrait, wondering how someone so young can run a business; even Ymir is 20.
<Sathen_Gor> *Kaylin will que up the executive elevator*
<Kaelan> Cookie> Perhaps she was not as young as she looks.
<DeathStar> 6* Yuki walks over to the elevator, waiting on it to come down. Mireille stands over, making sure the AI obeys.
<DeathStar> <Shade> Are you going to be okay?
<Jackieness> <Airym> "It is possible that she was a figurehead who inherited the position. Other managers ran the company."
<Kaelan> Cookie> "Or that she is simply a species that ages slowly... or stops aging."
<kalonZombie> <Gor> Could be something like a dragoon, yeah
<Sathen_Gor> *Kaylin simply waits quietly*
<DeathStar> 6* The doors open
<Jackieness> <Airym> "The elevator is here."
<kalonZombie> 6*Gor steps in
<Kaelan> * Cookie peers through the door.
<DeathStar> 6* Mireille skips in. Shade guiddes Vyvy inside. The elevator lists all the floors and Yuki taps the top five floors so they can check them all out
<Sathen_Gor> *Kaylin looks inside, then waits for everyone to enter before she steps in; so she is the first one out at their arrival floor*
<DeathStar> <Yuki> According to the files I got on Catherine
<DeathStar> <Yuki> She was human.
<DeathStar> <Yuki> She inherited the company after her parents died.
<Kaelan> * Cookie gets in with Yuki.
<kalonZombie> <Gor> So it was probably a bunch of managers that actually ran it.
<Kaelan> * Cookie muses. "Musta been tough then."
<DeathStar> <Yuki> And was killed shortly after. In an attack by Drek Hi'um.
<kalonZombie> <Gor> That or she was a prodigy, like Kitty.
<DeathStar> <Yuki> At least that's what we assume
<DeathStar> <Yuki> *she motions, pointing out that's why they are here*
<Jackieness> <Airym> *steps into the elevator*
<Jackieness> <Airym> "What purpose would be served by attacking the company with a child in control?"
<Kemonohime> <Vyvy> I don't recall her being the owner.." she holds her head slightly.
<Kemonohime> <Vyvy> Drek Hi'um was the one who wanted me. He was in league with the cultists that crossed worlds.
<Sathen_Gor> Kaylin> It would keep the child from growing older and stopping them.
<DeathStar> 6* Yuki looks at Vyvy, blinking
<Kaelan> Cookie> "...Umm... I guess we write down this major discovery?"
<DeathStar> 6* The first of the five floors open, revealing a large complex, with terminals and a private lab, where the AI computer is
<DeathStar> <Yuki> I assume you have ties here, Vyvy? <Shade> She does.
<Kemonohime> * Vyvy scowls a little. "Catherine was frail, ill. I was bonded to her so that she could live a normal live as was. Running the business would be... out of the question."
<kalonZombie> <Gor> Should I get out here and look around?
<DeathStar> 6* Mireille walks over to the AI
<kalonZombie> 6*Gor follows Mireille
<DeathStar> <Mireille> This thing might have the totality of the building's records dating back some years.
<Sathen_Gor> Kaylin> From a strategic stand-point it makes sense to remove any obstruction that could potentially prove problematic. *Scans the area and steps out to keep an eye on Gor and Mireille*
<Jackieness> <Airym> "Mireille is correct."
<DeathStar> <Mireille> Assuming they have not been altered.
<Jackieness> <Airym> "I shall go up with the others in the event that other data devices need work above."
<DeathStar> <Yuki> Lets see if we can learn the truth. *She eyes Vyvy, trying to judge her age* Go back.... 15 years.
<DeathStar> 6* Mireille nods and points at a large screen.
<DeathStar> <Mireille> Please view the screen. Mister Gor can watch and see if anything looks altered.
<kalonZombie> 6*Gor looks and nods
<kalonZombie> <Gor> ...You don't have to say Mister. Just Gor will do.
<Kaelan> * Cookie rubs her head, watching Vyvy now.
<Sathen_Gor> *Kaylin moves around the area to ensure they aren't being watched or an ambush prepared*
<Kemonohime> <Vyvy> Judging by the picture, fourteen years. But if you want the entire picture, you'd need to go back about eighteen.
<DeathStar> 6* Mireille runs through 2 years or so of footage. It shows the two parents running the company, and soon the woman becomes pregnant.
<DeathStar> 6* They also are shown becoming business partners with Ani'Mon, and the company begins to expand rapidly, the Ani'Mon leader always hooded. Then one day, 9 months into the pregnancy, a figure drops into the pool roof, two of them. A figure that looks like a younger Vyvy, cradling a 1 year old. Yuki leans forward, pointing.
<DeathStar> <Yuki> That is Nagisa.
<Kemonohime> <Vyvy> ..." She moves over to another screen and queries a few years before even fifteen years, searching for any mention for Drek and the company, what relation he might have had to it before the attack.
<DeathStar> 6* It seems before 15 years, Ani'Mon was a competitor to the business, hence them jointly joining around 14 years
<kalonZombie> 6*Gor keeps an eye out for the alterations
<DeathStar> 6* The pregnant woman fishes them out of the pool and saves Vyvy and Nagisa. The footage keeps going, showing her changing their identites and making them servants.
<DeathStar> 6* So far all seems fine. But then the woman dies during childbirth, with Catherine being a frail child. Nagisa the child is changed to Vyvy to hide her from the people who were chasing her, literally tossing them off a roof into a pool.
<DeathStar> <Yuki> If they fell into this building's pool roof, they had to fall of Drek's HQ
<DeathStar> 6* Yuki peers upward, since the HQ is the only building higher
<DeathStar> *off
<Kaelan> * Cookie peers up. "Why did they fall though?"
<DeathStar> 6* The years show Vyvy growing older, looking more like she is now, with a younger Vyvy being close to Catherine, a playmate/servant. The husband runs the company alone and becomes withdrawn and doing more jobs for Drek. Skips begin to occur there, the jobs deleted.
<kalonZombie> 6*Gor blinks, looking in to see if there's a way to recover the data, though he's doubtful
<Sathen_Gor> *Kaylin looks over to Yuki and the recordings, a small cant of her head*
<Kemonohime> <Vyvy> We fell because I jumped.
<Kemonohime> <Vyvy> Yuki, you don't remember, do you?
<DeathStar> 6* Until one day, the older Vyvy no longer appears in the videos, as if she vanished, while the younger Vyvy continues to grow. Then one day, the husband is killed. Leaving young, frail Catherine in charge of the company. At that point, the pressure of the job on her makes her weaker, and it seems Vyvy/Catherine likely bond. Catherine uses managers to aid her. At this point, perhaps since Catherine changes direction, or her managers, Drek is seen entering the building after another deleted scene occurs, then a video tape of an attack occurs, with Catherine dying and Vyvy being shot through the eye. But it looks more like Vyvy was the target.
<DeathStar> <Yuki> Remember what?
<Jackieness> <Airym> "There is still missing data."
<DeathStar> <Yuki> Yes.
<DeathStar> <Mireille> Indeed.
<kalonZombie> <Gor> Trying to find it
<DeathStar> 6* Gor would find most of it gone. Perhaps with work the final scene can be retrieved since it was hastily done.
<kalonZombie> 6*Gor tries to get the final scene restored

<DeathStar> <Yuki> I wonder if there is any evidence up on the top floor where Catherine was shot.
<Kemonohime> <Vyvy> ... We're not related, but you're the closest thing to my original home, Yuki Mizukaze. I am Nagisa Nykthos Zhenmei

<Kaelan> Cookie> "So... why were there two Vyvys? Wait wha...."
<Kaelan> * Cookie slowly looks at Vyvy.
<Sathen_Gor> *Kaylin looks to the view of the dying Catherine and the shot*
<DeathStar> <Yuki> You're Nagisa. Wait, yes... I... I *she nods, as if recalling*
<DeathStar> <Yuki> I---
<Kaelan> * Cookie frowns, confused. "But... how...?"
<DeathStar> 6* The angle of the shot that takes Catherine and hits Vyvy's eye definitely seems angled for Vyvy
<DeathStar> <Yuki> It is a long story, Cookie
<Kemonohime> <Vyvy> Drek crossed over somehow, and took me during a conflict on the PAX and took me as an infant, after placing some kind of tainted crystal in my eye.
<Jackieness> <Airym> "The crystal."
<Kemonohime> <Vyvy> But I took myself to evade being taken for good and leapt from the roof. It was here I met Catherine, who would become my first love in this world, starting a new life as Vyvy Yimh.
<Kaelan> * Cookie rubs her head a bit. "More people who crossed over by a different means..."
<DeathStar> <Yuki> But the Mizukazes and Zhenmeis are cousins technically. Nagisa. *she lets out a breath. Gor manages to clear up the image more. It shows Drek threatening Catherine to restablish the business, when he spots Vyvy, recognizing her*
<DeathStar> 6* The hooded Drek then turns and leaves, suddenly not caring about the business
<Sathen_Gor> Kaylin> Curious, the trajectory of the bullet would indicate that it was intended for Vyvy and not Mrs. Snowden...
<DeathStar> <Shade> Yet it's clear they want Vyvy, why shoot her?
<Kemonohime> <Vyvy> It wouldn't kill me
<Kemonohime> <Vyvy> In fact, in the end, all it did was ignite whatever evolution took hold in my right eye.
<DeathStar> <Shade> I see.
<Jackieness> <Airym> "Yes, there is a crystal in your eye. It was a fragment of Centerpoint."
<Kemonohime> <Vyvy> It's a unique ability I gained, but ...I still don't know what place it holds in what they were doing.
<Sathen_Gor> Kaylin> That could have been the intended result, the bullet could have been coated with a catalyst to trigger some change.
<DeathStar> <Mireille> I do not think we will get anything more from the videos. It is clear that once Drek recognized you, he launched an attack and Catherine was caught in the middle
<DeathStar> 6* Yuki moves to the stairs to go up
<Kemonohime> <Vyvy> .. Yes. And then I fled to Geyze.
<DeathStar> <Mireille> But there is something more I found in the AI, Vyvy.
<Kaelan> Cookie> "So what we know for sure is Drek is involved with the forces working against us."
<Sathen_Gor> *Kaylin moves to join Yuki, looking up the stairs*
<DeathStar> 6* She hands Vyvy a data crystal
<DeathStar> <Mireille> This is yours.
<DeathStar> 6* She turns to go
<Kemonohime> * Vyvy peers at Mireille, taking it. "... Alright."
<Jackieness> <Airym> *turns on heel and moves to the stairs*
<DeathStar> 6* Shade moves over and touches it, activating it for Vyvy
<DeathStar> 6* A picture of Catherine appears. Addressed to Vyvy.
<Sathen_Gor> *Kaylin will move quickly up the stairs, checking the next door*
<Kemonohime> * Vyvy takes a moment behind, making a noise at Catherine showing
<DeathStar> <Catherine> If anything happens to me, I want to leave my business to Vyvy. My love. She has been with me since we were little. She is my constant companion. When no one else has been. If I am gone, I want you to know. You were always there with me, and I will always love you for that. But I want you to live your life for you now. And not live in regret. Goodbye."
<DeathStar> 6* Yuki peers around the office and kneels by the broke glass. Rain and weather has made the office a bit ruined, but blood stains litter the floor

<Kaelan> * Cookie blinks. "And this was over a decade ago?"
<kalonZombie> <Gor> Nobody bothered cleaning it up?

<DeathStar> 6* Yuki peers out the window, trying to judge where the bullet came from
<Sathen_Gor> *Kaylin looks around the area, checking the pattern of the blood spatters and the window before looking to where a bullet could have gone*
<DeathStar> <Yuki> Not when you own the quad.
<Kemonohime> <Vyvy> ... The place is abandoned. No one cared.
<DeathStar> 6* It seems it came from a building across the way. An apartment complex.
<Jackieness> <Airym> "The building still possessed real estate value."
<DeathStar> 6* Airym would get various blood samples and stuff
<DeathStar> <Yuki> Yeah, but the building's ownership is being contested.
<DeathStar> <Yuki> Until the real owner steps up
<Kemonohime> <Vyvy> Thirteenth floor, second from the left. One shot, disassemble, exit to the fire stairs, west side.
<Jackieness> <Airym> "I have collected surviving data on the scene."
<Sathen_Gor> *Kaylin scans the building for a moment, judging the appropriate height and so forth* Agreed, shot height and trajectory would be ideal from that location.
<DeathStar> 6* Yuki checks ownership of the apartment complex
<DeathStar> <Yuki> It seems it belongs to the Ani'Mon group
<DeathStar> <Yuki> Think we will get lucky?
<Kemonohime> <Vyvy> Luck has nothing to do with it.
<Kemonohime> <Vyvy> Think it's time we said I'm home." She palms the crystal.
<Kemonohime> <Vyvy> Ownership dispute is over. Let's figure out what he wanted-- then tell him to fuck off.
<Sathen_Gor> *Kaylin raises her rifle and scans the window of the apartment complex*

<Kellin> 6* Logan glances at his comm, standing by the door, he steps to the side and moves the audio to an ear piece.
