<Jackieness> <Sasha> "We'll wait and watch. The Senators likely realize that the Kaiser now knows, so their hand is stayed for the moment."

<Xanatos> <Simon> I apologize if it's out of line, but do you have anything beyond an assumption for that? 6* He asks Sasha.
<DeathStar> <Gwen> The odds are against Salamander from what I heard
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "All eyes will be directed toward Salamander and the other spirit, including those of the Kaiser."
<DeathStar> <Gwen> *He pats Talia's head while talking* A spirit summoni plus the faith of her people. Salamander might have attained the summoni outside the Legion, but from what it sounds like a lot of the Legion tossed her for the new spirit when the heat was declining from the volcano when she was abducted up to Kumen
<DeathStar> <Gwen> And switched to him as the new summoni. So she lost a huge power base. Plus now people put their faith in him.

<Kemonohime> <Vyvy> She'll be fine.

<Xanatos> <Simon> I agree we should be there to protect the Kaiser. But Qui left us some meetings witht he nobles, we should attend those if possible, figure out what's going on.
<Seraphna> ALita> "Symbolically the faith of the land switched from a female spirit to a male spirit... considering the context of events, this fight could have a morale sway on Jules' efforts."

<DeathStar> <Sylph> From what I know about Inferno, he is part fire, part wind

<DeathStar> <Sylph> Neither element is particullarly Salamander's weakness
<Kemonohime> * Vyvy rubs her neck. "Inferno's a moron and Salamander was insulted by his tongue wagging more than his thoughts matured."

<Kemonohime> <Vyvy> So Inferno can puff that hot air at Salamander all he wants, it will only make her stronger.
<Xanatos> 6* Simon checks the time to see if they might overlap the duel.
<DeathStar> 6* It seems the nobles all want to watch the duel too. Bored nobles and all that
<Xanatos> <Simon> We shouldn't need to split up just yet.
<Kemonohime> <Vyvy> By the way, if Inferno wins I'm kind of stuck here, probably. Sorry.

<Seraphna> * Alita decided to go after her sister, so she's there. Giving Gwen a break and having Talia stay with the others to report to her.

<Seraphna> Alita> "Maybe we should ask my cousin in law?"
<DeathStar> <Jules> If Senator Mihil was bold enough to try to bring you all here
<DeathStar> <Jules> He might have done this. I have my people looking into him now, to see if I can pin anything on him. But it is hard to figure out who I can trust. Many agree with his point of view lately.

<Seraphna> * Alita frowns. "If they had gone after me, Mykel might have been able to find me. But Ceilia isn't connected in that way."

<Sara> <Liana> It takes a great leader to sway the masses, but for each great leader there is at least one great villain he or she must overcome.

<DeathStar> 6* Gwen muses, rubbing his chin, peering at the guards around Jules, who stare straight ahead, wondering who might have been paid off.

<DeathStar> 6* Gwen sends his message via Qui, who delivered it, bows, then leaves, waving

<DeathStar> 6* The noble district is right next to the Kaiser's Palace, practically

<DeathStar> 6* Both on the top of the mountainous region, since the further down you walk, the less rich you are
<Xanatos> <Simon> Oh. Hah. I knew it was here. 6* He walks with Sasha.
<DeathStar> 6* The noble district, complete with the Senate Building practically nearby the Kaiser Palace, is right there. The Senate Building right before the Noble District, so the poor Senators don't have far to walk.
<Kemonohime> <Vyvy> Hmph. Don't get too ambitious, Sylph! You haven't even submitted to my harem, so I won't tolerate infringing on their turfs!
<DeathStar> 6* The Senate Building a glorious sight. The nobles buildings are like large mansions themselves
<Kemonohime> * Vyvy raspberries at Sylph playfully; but she's kidding, right?

They called session early today due to the duel but many of them are still in there. *some of the senators that asked to meet them are no doubt inside; due to how long they've taken, they've missed most of their nobility meetings. But the Senators no doubt will still be waiting inside*
<DeathStar> <Shion> Despite calling it early, many are still lingering inside
<Xanatos> <Simon> Should we attempt to listen in?
<DeathStar> <Shion> The public can walk in, I suppose

<DeathStar> <Jules> Thank you. 6* He turns as Hapes walks in, adjusting a ring on his hand. Beside him a woman walks with him, a beautiful brown hair woman with ice blue eyes, peering at each of them intently.
<DeathStar> <Jules> Hapes. Finally. I didn't think this sort of thing was your thing. <Hapes> Someone has to keep an eye on you

<Kaelan> * Alita peers them both over. "Hello, Hapes."
<Sara> * Liana regards the woman curiously
<DeathStar> 6* He turns to the group, turning to move along outside. Hapes taking up position beside him, removing his hand from his ring, which is on the engagment finger. The woman peers back at them, studying each of them

<DeathStar> 6* The four guards take up position as well, and Gwen follows them outside, heading for the dueling ring

<Seraphna> * Alita smiles to the woman. "But we haven't been introduced yet. I'm Alita, wife to Mykel."
<DeathStar> 6* Before peering back at Alita, glancing her over with her eyes. "I am Contessa. I am engaged to Hapes." 6* She peers ahead again. Gwen shrugs to Liana and Alita

<DeathStar> <Senator Mihil> You have lost two of your people? By them wandering off?
<DeathStar> 6* He repeats incredulously
<DeathStar> 6* A few of the senators move to go as the dueling music kicks up, Mihil waving them to go on.
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Apparently so."
<Xanatos> <Simon> Ah the meeting is over? 6* He looks bummed.
<DeathStar> <Senator Mihil> They have not wandered here, I can assure you. We have been busy trying to reverse Jules' position and put Hapes into power, since Mykel turned us down. But we did not get enough Senators in time before the Spirit Battle.
<DeathStar> <Senator Mihil> So we will resume the debate/vote tomorrow
<Xanatos> <Simon> Ah, I will try to be in attendance. 6*He perks up.
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Of course."
<DeathStar> <Shion> And how is that done? *She speaks up finally* <Senator Mihil> We need 90% of the Senate.

<DeathStar> <Sylph> I found them. They are tied up in a strange bag. It blocks all magic emitions
<Xanatos> <Simon> 90% is such a large percentage, it would take some a lot of discussions to get that number.

<DeathStar> 6* She leads them down narrow flights of stairs, twisting and turning, going down two stories, then down a long narrow hallway. Shion follows, musing

<DeathStar> 6* Jules sits down in a mini throne, with Hapes sitting behind him to the left, and his bride to be to his left. The four guards take up positions behind the royal family. Gwen takes a nice seat near Jules, relaxing
<Seraphna> * Alita does the same, looking like she's reading again, but for once it's just a front.
<DeathStar> 6* Standing in the arena is the Inferno Spirit, Fern. He stretches, showing off his muscles, wearing a thong. He flexes for the ladies, who swoon, and the men nod, wanting to be him. Salamander scowls, standing there in the arena too, her slim, small body covered in flames, hiding her nudity.
<DeathStar> 6* Contessa leans over, talking to Liana about what it is like to marry royality, asking her how it feels
<Sara> * Liana talks about it as if it were an adventure rather than from a gold digger's perspective
<DeathStar> 6* A magic flare is shot off and Inferno marches toward Salamander, launching fire at her, and using wind to carry it and smacks Salamander into the arena side, embedding her into it
<DeathStar> 6* Jules winces, leaning forward, clearly rooting for Salamander.
<DeathStar> 6* Salamander pulls herself free and touches the ground, making it full of lava, and uses it to launch Inferno into the sky, despite doing no damage. When he lands, the smaller spirit tries to slug it out, despite not having the muscle mass.
<DeathStar> 6* Hapes leans forward and touches Jules' shoulder, leaning forward to talk. Jules makes a slight face but keeps talking, nodding at something Hapes says, who then leans back, going back to fingering the ring on his hand as the two spirits fight.
<DeathStar> 6* Shion and comany arrive at the arena a few minutes later, Shion pushing through the crowd
<DeathStar> <Shion> Where is Jules...?
<Seraphna> * Alita blinks a bit, focusing on the ring a moment out of interest.
<DeathStar> 6* Sylph hangs onto Ellie
<Xanatos> 6* Simon looks around for a slightly higher place, pointing it out to Shion once he sees it.
<Sara> <Ellie> If I had to guess, he's probably over... there? Sylphie, can you see him?
<DeathStar> 6* Sylph floats up and pointing at the same spot as Simon. Shion heads that way in a hurry.
<Kemonohime> <Vyvy> Oi, Salamander, why are you duking it like this is a contest of mass? You have plenty he doesn't-- use it!
<DeathStar> 6* Salamander forms a firey bat and hits Inferno back
<Seraphna> * Alita frowns and indexes what she sees in her head for later, peering around carefully.
<DeathStar> <Salamander> We're the same element. Doing damage is not easy.
<Xanatos> 6* Simon moves along with Shion, shfiting through the crowd, apologizing as he goes.
<DeathStar> 6* Salamander forms fire meteors, trying to smash Inferno into the ground
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *makes her way through the crowd as well*
<Xanatos> <Simon> What are the rules on outside interference? 6He wonders aloud.
<DeathStar> 6* Shion leaps onto stage, making Gwen and Jules jerk. Shion then tackles Hapes out of his seat. Contessa screeches.

<DeathStar> 6* Jules stands up, then looks woozy
<Sara> * Liana jerks and stands, her hand moving to her sword. "Wha-!?"
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Alita, heal Jules now."
<DeathStar> <Shion> Maeryn described Hapes!
<Xanatos> 6* Simon gets on the stage less dramatically.
<DeathStar> 6* Jules falls to a knee
<Xanatos> <Simon> Hapes kidnapped our allies.
<Seraphna> * Alita moves to heal Jules, casting Cure on him.
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Hapes stands accused of conspiracy against his Kaiser."
<DeathStar> 6* Jules peers up at Alita, offering an apologetic smile. "I---*his hand shakes* Tell Mykel...."
<Seraphna> * Alita also casrs Magical Scan on him to heal Poison.
<DeathStar> 6* He slams face first into the stage
<DeathStar> 6* Alita's scan would show his body is decaying due to something
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Alita, can he speak?"
<Seraphna> Alita> *she frowns and checks his pulse, casting Revive on him if he's dead*
<DeathStar> 6* Hapes jerks, his face twisting into anger as Shion holds onto him
<Xanatos> 6* Simon kneels by him trying to do a stat ailment heal. Lv 1
<Seraphna> Alita> "Something is causing him to decay!"
<DeathStar> 6* He's still alive at te moment
<Kemonohime> <Vyvy> That's why you should get him to hurt himself; injuring his pride should be easy for someone with a brain like you, my firecat.
<Sara> * Liana looks at Contessa, ready to grab her if needed.
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Alita, did you notice Hapes do anything?"
<Seraphna> * Alita casts a Mage Cure Max on him to buy time.
<DeathStar> 6* Inferno rages and charges at Salamander, who jumps and lets him run into the arena

<Seraphna> Alita> "Check his ring."

<DeathStar> 6* The ring looks like crystal
<DeathStar> <Shion> Oh goddammit, or as you all say, spiritddammit
<Seraphna> * Alita peers over him, attempting to determine if this is a poison or a curse.
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *pulls off the ring and examines it closer*
<DeathStar> <Sylph> *lands, peering at it* It looks like those shards, except it's a ring
<Seraphna> Alita> "If it is, can you use it to reverse this?"
<Sara> <Ellie> We need to neutralize it somehow before the royal dude is toast!
<DeathStar> 6* It seems like one of the shards, except in crystal form. Once it's off, Hapes faints, collapsing into Shion's arms. Alita's magics keep him alive, but it's no known poison
<Xanatos> 6* Simon tries to observe if the ailment cure is doing anything, if not he would try his Cleanse attack ability that targets status abnormalities(up to you if it works).
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *turns and tries to see if she can use the ring to undo the effect*
<Seraphna> * Alita keeps on him, readying another cure. "Hapes may have been under mind control, from how he's acting."
<DeathStar> <Shion> *Grabs Sasha's arm* I wouldn't touch anyone with that
<DeathStar> <Shion> It might just make it worse
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Understood." *wraps the ring in a hankerchief*
<Seraphna> Alita> "This is... a bit not unlike what was done to the previous Kaiser."
<DeathStar> <Shion> We might can use another shard to reverse it
<DeathStar> <Shion> You and Simon have slowed the effects in the Kaiser
<Xanatos> <Simon> Is that something we have?
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Move him to the academy?"
<Xanatos> 6* Simon checks on Hapes, having done all he can for the Kaiser.
<DeathStar> 6* Jules breathes shallowily, but isn't falling apart anymore
<Sara> <Liana> It's that, or find someone who can control the kind of magic it's exhibiting, right? *referring to how the one in the Dark Forest was neutralized back then*
<Seraphna> Alita> "Then we need one immediately. The longer this holds the less chances he will recover."
<DeathStar> 6* Hapes looks unconscious but his face isn;'t in rage
<DeathStar> <Shion> I kept a shard back that might work, but we have to see.
<Seraphna> * Talia forms human like and keeps a cure spell on hand too.
<DeathStar> <Shion> Obviously we have to find out how we can use a shard to heal
<DeathStar> <Shion> Airym might can figure it out
<Seraphna> Alita> "Right... secure Hapes for now... if he was under an enchantment his mind could be damaged."
<DeathStar> 6* Back in the Arena, Salamander has made Inferno waste tons of mana, dodging all his attacks
<Seraphna> ALita> "And if he wasn't..."
<DeathStar> 6* Salamander watches Inferno stumble tiredly
<Sara> * Liana looks to Contessa. "Your betrothed seems to have been controlled to attempt an assassination on Jules. We're going to need help keeping Jules alive or there is a chance that he may end up in a very unpleasant spot."
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "We still need to watch him either way."
<DeathStar> 6* Then she rams into him, pinning him and kicking him, then stands and pins him

<DeathStar> 6* She looks worried, touching Hapes

<Sara> <Liana> Do you know where he got that ring?
<Sara> <Liana> ...Do you have one too? *she adds*
<Xanatos> <Simon> You wouldn't happen to know who gave him that ring? 6* He pauses when Liana asks the same.
<DeathStar> <Contessa> We each got a pair as an engagement ring.

<DeathStar> *She looks embarrassed*
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Lost it? And from whom?"
<Sara> <Liana> You're lucky. The ring is the problem. Do you know where you got it from?
<Seraphna> Alita> "A gift from a senator, perhaps?"
<DeathStar> <Contessa> A few days ago. On my estate. Hapes said it was from some fancy place.
<DeathStar> <Contessa> I'll see if I can find the receipt
<Seraphna> Alita> "We need to find that place, yes."

<Xanatos> <Simon> Any additional information would be very helpful. Thank you.

<DeathStar> <Shion> *looking worried* The Senators are going to make a move to take control while Hapes and Jules are both down
<DeathStar> <Shion> If we don't get Jules back up in time, he might lose leadership
<Seraphna> Alita> "Then we use their own plan against them."
<Seraphna> Alita> "Shion, can we get Mykel here?"
<Xanatos> <Simon> Very well. 6* He nods to Liana and moves off to get some healers.
<DeathStar> <Shion> *she eyes Alita* If we do that, Jules won't get his kingdom back. You realize the path you are suggesting
<DeathStar> <Shion> Are you sure you want to do that?>
<Seraphna> Alita> "What exactly stops Mykel from handing it back?"
<Seraphna> Alita> "Or claiming regency in his absence?"
<DeathStar> <Shion> You can't play hot potato. The Senators will howl.
<Sara> <Liana> We should send word to Mykel at the least; It was Jules' wish.
<Seraphna> Alita> "Aren't they going to howl either way?"
<DeathStar> <Shion> Lets focus on one crisis at a time for now. And bring Mykel up here
