<Xanatos> 6* The woman, cowers a bit trying to hide behind Riki. Her hair is black that lightens towards the end in a bit of a dark brown. She's wearing a red and white jumpsuit that have the legs cut off in shorts and around the back of her heads and over her ears are a headphone type of thing.
<Sara> * Erica holds out a hand after seeing the new crew member is more than just a ball of dust

<Xanatos> 6* The woman blinks and slowly glances over Riki's shoulder, blue eyes piercing at Erica. After a few moments she reaches out to shake, her eyes drooping a bit in embarassment.

<Sara> * Erica gives a beaming smile as she shakes her hand, seeming unflapped by the piercing eyes

<Kemonohime> * Saoirse squints over Erica's shoulder. "Found a new playmate?"

<DeathStar> <Riki> Ylva has typed up an assignment for you. *She sets it down on the Captain chair, then takes a seat, excited to come along*
<Sara> * Erica raises an eyebrow. "Our boss gave us a new crewman, Saoir."
<Sara> * Erica blinks at Riki sitting when she has her job to do on Kumen, but moves to pick up the work order
<Kemonohime> <Saoirse> Our boss, eh. The lass sitting in your chair?
<Sara> <Erica> It's what the people wanted! *she says, exasperated*

<Kemonohime> <Saoirse> Not like you ignore what we say and run around cursing all the time. I don't see any reason to boot.

<DeathStar> <Yuki> And the wepaons have new features, like cycling frequencies to try to take out shields faster, as well as grapplers

<Sara> <Erica> Hopefully that doesn't make our few enemies start to adapt
<DeathStar> *Riki buckles in and looks forward. Yuki turns to Erica* Want to give the order, my love, to begin flying? *Yuki pulls out extra controls so every station can do the other station's job if someone is gone. It rests between her and Erica*
<Xanatos> 6* Pepper looks exasperated briefly. "I can't believe how time you all are! I probably could've just walked up and asked for a spot! Sorry I'm being so loud I sometimes forget how to control my volume when I'm feeling too many emotions!" She then takes a seat, letting out a sigh.

<Sara> <Erica> All right. Yu, set our course! Let's take her out!
<DeathStar> 6* Yuki hits the button and the engines power up. It rers like a cat as it powers up. Yuki pauses
<DeathStar> <Yuki> *then peers at Chelsea, hitting buttons and the on screen monitor shows a line to where she picked, going around the various planets in the system. It begins to move*
<Kemonohime> <Saoirse> Is that also a new feature?
<Jackieness> <Airym> "I can not find engine-cats on the refit manifest."
<Sara> <Erica> Maybe the ship just has... uh... what's the expression again? A cat in its throat?
<Kemonohime> <Saorise> If it keeps that up the pres will be running circles in our engineering division.

<DeathStar> *Riki is pawing the air excitedly, while Mireille wobbles to her spot to sit to power the ship, glowing*
<DeathStar> 6* Space looks rather empty, since most of the planets are dead world or gas giants. Yuki leans back, slouching until they reach an asteroid field they can test their abilities in
<Xanatos> 6* Pepper slinks up one of the viewports and presses her face against it, oohing at space.
<DeathStar> *Yuki tilts the controls to Erica* You want to try anything?
<Sara> <Erica> Well, the weapons aren't usually my thing, but we can try out the boosters and hope we don't have to try out the shields while we're at it... *she coughs*
<Kemonohime> <Saoirse> Gonna rest. Don't break anything, kiddos.
<Sara> <Erica> Take care my Saoir.
<Kemonohime> * Saoirse riles Erica and Taiga's hairs.
<DeathStar> *Yuki gropes Sao on her way out, then hits buttons
<Xanatos> <Pepper> Can I shoot something!? 6* She jerks her head around, red spot on her forehead from pressing it so hard
<DeathStar> 6* The lights dim a pacifying blue color, like Bonnie's hair, and the shields are now powered. Yuki tilts the control to Pepper* It's the F key
<Jackieness> <Airym> "Are you qualified for combat operations?"
<Sara> * Erica blinks several times but waits and sees
<Xanatos> <Pepper> Nope! 6* She hits the F key quickly.
<DeathStar> <Yuki> G is the grapple, T the tractor beamn, and -- *she watches as plasma blasts and lazers fire at the asteroids, blowing them up* M is the missiles
<Xanatos> 6* Peppers giggles and tries to tractor an asteroid into another before shooting at them with a pair of missiles.
<Jackieness> <Airym> "I am uncertain if this is wise."
<DeathStar> *Pepper makes the rocks mate, then blow up*

<DeathStar> *Mireille stretches out on her pad, no longer needing to capsule up*

<Jackieness> <Airym> "Had I the time and additional resources, the system overhaul would have been even more impressive,"
<Sara> * Erica makes sure she has a grip on things and hits the boosters

<DeathStar> 6* ERica would find the grip and buttons on the jotstick for booster and firing weapons there, helps the ship fly on point easily
<Xanatos> 6* Pepper just stares at the controls in awe.
<DeathStar> <Yuki> Wow, we are making some turns we couldn't before
<DeathStar> 6* The asteroids float about, making Erica fly a complicated pattern to avoid
<DeathStar> *Riki leans forward, tail wagging*

<Sara> <Erica> Gah. *she jerks but keeps the joystick steady as she moves it*
<DeathStar> <Yuki> Not bad. You think you are up for that pack of asteroids that is more closely together? *it will mean the evil OG game*
<Sara> <Erica> We have good shields, so why not? I once had to push an entire planet with our ship
<DeathStar> 6* Yuki holds on and buckles up as Erica goes forward. She will find the time is much slower with the responsive controls

<DeathStar> *Yuki hits the buttons, and his J. They appear in the neighboring system, where their comms crackle with static and bleaps for help. Up ahead a ship is floating, powerless, with crystal ships surrounding it. Likely left over from the invasion and still in this era, not the future*
<DeathStar> <Yuki> Might have been a good idea.
<Sara> <Erica> Oh dear. Open a channel.
<Jackieness> <Airym> "No one ever listens to the logical crew member."
<DeathStar> *Yuki hits the comms button*
<DeathStar> 6* Riki leans forward, while Cypher works on a soda now
<Sara> <Erica> Attention, nearby vessels! This is the starship Aquarius. We are not in an aggressive stance at this moment and would really like an explanation of what's going on here.
<Sara> * She tries to be diplomatic first, as usual
<Jackieness> <Airym> "I advise raising shields, captain."
<Xanatos> 6* Pepper looks from Erica, to the weapons controls, then to Erica again
<DeathStar> *A face appears, static still there. A captain of some race that looks like a mix of a catgirl people and wearing clothing like robes. Not quite like Aurits or Faunas.* Aquarius. We are under attack. We were trying to reach Kumen after our system was overrun by these enemy ships. I think they wanted our planet as an outpost.
<DeathStar> 6* The crystal ships ignore Erica, saddling up to the damaged ship*
<Xanatos> <Pepper> Uh oh! They're moving in on them!
<Sara> <Erica> I understand, I don't have a full view of the situation, but... *she presses the button to transmit more widely* Attention C'en vessels! Stand down, explain yourself, or we will be forced to take action in *she glances down at the controls for a moment* ... probably less time than you think.
<Jackieness> <Airym> *calculates a firing solution and sends it to tactical*
<Sara> * Erica gives the signal to have weapons armed and ready
<Xanatos> 6* Pepper grabs the weapon controls, looking a bit wild in the eyes.
<DeathStar> *Three of the C'en vessels fly toward Erica, firing blasts. Before they damaged the Aquarius pretty badly, but now the shields adjust, barely dropping to 90% and already regening*
<DeathStar> <Yuki> Oh, I think they remember

<Xanatos> <Pepper> BWOOM. 6* She starts returning fire.
<Sara> <Erica> All right, you heard the C'en. Let loose the dogs of Hell!
<Sara> * she points, as if it somehow means something
<DeathStar> 6* The regular blasts hit the three ships, slowing them down and cracks appearing.
<DeathStar> <Riki> AWOOO
<Jackieness> <Airym> "Cycling weapons to anti-C'en algorithms."
<Sara> <Erica> *turning on the transmission briefly again* Last warning!
<Xanatos> 6* Pepper sticks her tongue out, aiming, she tries to shoot the grapple out for the side of the right-most's side, pulling to spin it's fire towards the other C'en ships.
<DeathStar> *The C'ens fire their stronger weapons at the Aquarius, when Pepper spins the ship into the blasts and knocks the other two off aim. One blows up and the other two fly away, slowly, to get away. The one that is still at the damaged ship lifts off and flies away too*
<Xanatos> <Pepper> Is that other ship okay!?
<Jackieness> <Airym> *scans the damaged ship*
<Sara> <Erica> Let 'em go. *comm* This is the Captain to Medical and Engineering. I want teams ready to board the distressed ship PDQ.
<DeathStar> 6* Airym would see other lifesigns besides the cat girl crew on the ship now
<DeathStar> *Erica gets an acknowledgement*
<Jackieness> <Airym> "There mays till be C'en on board, captain."
<Sara> <Erica> That's where we come in. *she smiles* But we can't neglect the injured either, their time could be limited.
<Sara> <Erica> So I'll personally accompany the team with whomever feels brave enough. Saddle up!
<DeathStar> *Yuki rises up and Mireille goes to follow, then flops on her butt. Yuki messages Saorise to let her know*
<Xanatos> 6* Pepper looks a little scared but rises to go regardless.
<Jackieness> <Airym> "I can track the life signs from here. I can relay tactical data to you via comm."
<DeathStar> *Cypher stays to protect their engineer*
<DeathStar> <Yuki> alright. *she moves and Riki waves them good luck*
<Sara> * Chelsea looks only mildly annoyed at the mild strain on the ship
<DeathStar> *Spinning Duality symbol*
<DeathStar> 6* Yuki peers around as they are teleported into part of the engineering, with whoever came along
<Sara> * Erica cracks her knuckles. "Well, I'm going to pray for them and us both that the enemies were smart enough to abandon ship and leave the damsels in distress alone."
<Xanatos> 6* Pepper stands there holding a submachine gun. It's basically a sci fi version of a UMP.
<Sara> * Erica turns to the others, then jerks her head in one direction, turning back and starting to walk that way.
<Jackieness> <Airym> *sends lifesign data to Erica's boarding party to help them find the cat crew and not be ambushed by the C'en."

<Xanatos> 6* Pepper walks after Erica, glancing around nervously and holding her weapon tightly.
<DeathStar> 6* Yuki follows along. The engineering area looks desserted, with some smoke from the damaged engines, which make a sound like a wheezing dog. As they enter, Airym would detect a third type of lifesign, likely planted by the C'en
<Jackieness> <Airym> "Captain, I amd etcting an unexpected life sign, something likely planted by the C'en."
<Sara> * Erica motions the engineering crew toward the smoke, but with a gesture to move slow
<Sara> * Erica whispers to Airym to give exact coordinates if possible, looking to both sides as she walks along cautiously
<Sara> (Whispers into comm, I mean)
<DeathStar> 6* The engineer redshirts move in that direction
<Jackieness> <Airym> *tries to get a more specific position for the lifesign*
<DeathStar> 6* It seems to be above them, and to their sides. Just 100 meters ahead near the exit
<DeathStar> 6* Yuki walks along, peering at a picture of her and Erica's kid, then pockets it again, ears flattening as she creeps toward the exit
<Sara> * Erica points to Pepper and then points to the left side of the exit, points to Yuki, points to the right side of the exit
<Jackieness> <Airym> "Captain, it is ahead, above, and to the sides. You may be surrounded."
<Xanatos> 6* Pepper glances to the picture then ahead, she gives a sharp nod and moves to flank to the left side.
<Sara> <Erica> We'll just have to take them out then. Make another example.
<DeathStar> 6* As they near the 100 meter spot, each in their own path, there seems to be nothing there, despite what Airym's readings say. Yuki looks around, walking toward the exit slowly
<Sara> * Erica glances up, walking toward the exit herself
<Sara> <Erica> Keep your backs to the walls, people
<Xanatos> 6* Pepper does so, looking in all directions quickly, a bit jerky now as he nerves ramp up.
<DeathStar> 6* Erica would spot something moving, like black oily substances. Suddenly a monster with oil tendrils and a glowing part in the middle glows. It's tendrils reach and nab Yuki by the leg, lifting her upside down as it touches her, dissolving clothes, and perhaps her flesh if it continues. Two more large tendrils go for Pepper and Erica
<DeathStar> *The roof and sides all begin to move, reaching for them*
<Xanatos> 6* Pepper shrieks and dives forward with a thud
<DeathStar> <Yuki> I liked this outfit. *she forms her weapons*
<Xanatos> 6* Pepper rolls onto her back, fires bursts of energy shots up towards Yuki's captor(tentacle)
<Sara> <Erica> Oi! Get yer hands offa my Yu! *she shouts and leaps toward what grabbed Yuki, focusing her chi as she prepares to attack hard*
<Jackieness> <Airym> *looks for lifesigns of the oily creature's type elsewhere in the ship*
<Xanatos> 6* Pepper eeps and lowers her gun to not cause friendly fire.
<DeathStar> *swinging her fists; combined with Erica and Pepper, the tendril dissolves and Yuki drops. Unfortunately, five more are coming after the three*
<DeathStar> 6* Airym would detect only the one
<DeathStar> <Yuki> That reminds me of the stories of monsters on Geyze that like to grab women and do things. *she flails, her outfit ruined in partS*
<Xanatos> 6* Pepper scrambles for her feet and runs, trying to put something like a crate between herself and the tentacles.
<DeathStar> *Pepper's tendril grabs the box, dissolving it slowly*
<Sara> * Erica focuses and puts her hands forward, letting out a Chi Blast at the concentration of tendrils (Chi Blast - The captain brings out the power from her chakra points to create a blast of energy, bending air around the energy to create a concussive blow. [10 HP Damage])
<Xanatos> 6* Pepper spins around.
<Xanatos> <Pepper> THIS IS GROSS! 6* She sprays shots to take her tendril out.
<DeathStar> 6* The five tendrils are dissolved, meaning more will need a moment to form. Yuki points at the glowing part, and transforms into a bird monster and flies at it, trying to claw it
<Sara> <Erica> Give it some pepper! Wait, I didn't mean-- I... *she shakes her head* Pepper! There! *she points*
<Xanatos> 6* Pepper spins around, smacking the side of her gun to recharge it's fire count. She waits for Yuki to get out of the way before unloading a whole clip towards it.
<DeathStar> *the red spot dissolves, then the entire form dissolves into sticky oil as it falls from the ceiling down. Yuki lands, transforming to normal, globbed*
<DeathStar> <Yuki> Yuck yuck yuck
<Xanatos> <Pepper> Heh...give it some pepper. Heheh. 6* She starts laughing, snorting.
<Xanatos> <Pepper> Ohhhhh that was funny.
<DeathStar> <Yuki> Denise would try it
<Xanatos> <Pepper> That was so scary!
<Sara> <Erica> *comm* Airym -- target neutralized. Please advise.
<DeathStar> <Yuki> It ranks up there with some of the old worlds we visited. *Airym would detect 10 C'ens heading for the bridge*
<Jackieness> <Airym> *scans for where the cat crew is concentrated*
<DeathStar> *most are either hiding in rooms, or the bridge*
<Jackieness> <Airym> "The crew is on the bridge, but ten C'en life signs are heading there now. These creatures were likely a delaying action."
<Sara> <Erica> Roger. Medical crew, spread out. My team, with me. We're going straight to the bridge.

<DeathStar> *the medical crew spreads out across the ship. Mireille riding one*

<Xanatos> <Pepper> Aye aye captain ma'am sir! 6* She reloads and follows Erica.
<DeathStar> 6* Yuki eyes herself and pulls her globbed clothing off, wearing under wear and bra. She grabs a medical vest and follows
<Sara> * Erica makes a beeline for the bridge floor, assuming nothing comes up
<DeathStar> 6* When they arrive, they would see down the hallway the warrior class of C'en, planting a device on the door to blow it up. Four of them are aimed down the hallway if they dare step around the corner, with the other four near the door waiting on the 9th one to detonate

<DeathStar> 6* The four guards peer down at the fox, and eye their scanners, as if deciding this is one of the enemy.*

<Sara> * Erica walks between them slowly and primps

<Sara> * Trying to be distracting, whether it ends up being calmly or rushing around soon
<Jackieness> <Airym> "The enemy biosigns and going tense. They may be prepared to attack."
<DeathStar> *One guard picks Erica up and pulls out a sack to catelogue her. Or at least tries to pick her up. Yuki wags at the pets, then poofs back, pulling out her sword and making her body big like a bear, having animal morph ability*
<Sara> * Erica spends speed, running around them, even along the walls
<DeathStar> *She draws a few more eyes toward her, and Yuki rushes out and swings her sword, back stabbing two of them with one swing. She just hopes Pepper went for an attack while they are backed. Yuki then stabs for their weak point, since they won't go down either way
<Xanatos`> 6* Pepper peeks around and once they're turned to focus on Erics she would start unloading shots out at the closest enemies.
<Xanatos`> (fires in bursts, I should say, since it's more precise)
<DeathStar> 6* Pepper drops two more and Yuki points at the weak point, the throat if I remember, I can't open the page yet until link repaired. As the other five peer up, Yuki tackles another, right when the 9th finishes the bomb, prepring to detonate it
<Sara> * Erica glances to see if the bomb is attached firmly or loose, and if it's loose, she'll grab it and toss it down the hall a bit
<Xanatos`> 6* Pepper runs forward and fires down for the eye(or throat, but pretty sure eyes were the weakness), then lugs up one of the dead ones for a cover to fire at another enemy.
<DeathStar> 6 The 9th freaks out as the bomb blows up down the hallway, rocking the hallway without doing much damage. Yuki tumbles and falls over, as does three of their number. The remaining two fire at Yuki and Pepper with a strange energy blast that dissolves Pepper's target and Yuki turns back to normal to roll avoid
<Xanatos`> 6* Pepper gasps and stumbles back, reloading quickly to fire back.
<Sara> * Erica tries to leap at them and bite, knowing it won't do much on its own
<DeathStar> 6* Yuki stabs the eye of one of the town down as Pepper takes out the other. A well placed eye show killing them. The remaining 3 aim at the two again, preparing to fire, but their aim goes off wild thanks to Erica, blasting walls and ceilings
<Xanatos`> <Pepper> These guys are tough!
<Xanatos`> 6* Pepper clambors to the left side of the wall for some slight cover(from structural beams?) and returns fire on one that Erica isn't directly on.
<DeathStar> 6* Yuki pants as Pepper drops another and Yuki tackles the second, stabbing wildly in the face until it drops. The third one grabs Erica, holding her up to finish her off
<Sara> * Erica wriggles and struggles, not making it easy even though she knows she's trapped
<DeathStar> *The C'en gets angry, trying to grab her neck more intently. Yuki tackles the third one, pinning him for Pepper
<Xanatos`> 6* Pepper, aprehensive to fire at such close proximity, pulls out a small knife and runs forward to try and plunge it into the eye.
<DeathStar> *The C'en twitches and dies. Airym would see the medic team has taken out the 10th thankfully*
<Xanatos`> 6* Pepper falls back and wipes sweat from her forehead, smearing blood. She lets out a huff as she tries to catch her breath, panting.

<DeathStar> <Captain> Of course. These large crystalized warships surrounded our planet, and began to take over major centers. They were making spy stuff to watch Kumen which we heard defeated them last time. Me and my crew tried to flee the planet to let out warning to said planet about the invaders

<Sara> <Erica> Unfortunately for them Kumen is a planet of very hardy and inventive people

<DeathStar> <Captain> We hoped maybe they would run away if we got in touch with you, but we almost didn't make it. *she nods to Erica* It sure hurt them when we could do nothing
