Part I: Ebb and Flow

Arc One:

4-3-5990CE :

Our storyteller takes us three months into the activities of Cypher. The group has gathered in the club and is going about their business when Asarar calls them together to scope out a possible mission on human trafficking. Making it to the area in their own ways, the group goes to a seedy section of town filled with less then clean clubs and warehouses. After tracking down cameras, Otto disables one and the group is able to check doors.

Luci finds a high tech door and the group breaks into the warehouse where they wind up having to fight some guards. Taking them down, they find a cage filled with girls who are about to be moved to gods knows where. After some difficulties with an electrical field around the cage, and Max busting the battery and console that controls it, they're able to neutralize the field. Otto hangs back to stall the reinforcements as the team makes away with the unconcious girls in a getaway car.

The group returns to base with the girls and offers them freedom or work at the club. Asarar blames the mission's failings on herself and everyone else winds down, or winds up, depending on how they treat the rest of the day.

Verse 2, M1

Max starts becoming more and more drunk, due to the fact has hasn't gotten laid for the past three months, and Asarar broods on her actions, spending time training in the pool with Luci and Kira, and musing on her actions. Despite going through the motions of her ritual training with each member, Kira her ninja shadow training, Wolfe the boxing, etc, she seems to be debating losing control so easily with the slavers. Kira meanwhile starts trying to put together operation get laid, while Wolfe and Otto clean up the club with the phiglets and bust down the doors of the club and arrest all the men inside and take them to the corrupt Corporate Security.

Asarar also opens up more with Luci, letting her see her hands finally and makes mention of what's inside her head, as they swim together naked and shower, and learns more about what dragoons are, shooting down an idea of bonding, but states she thinks Ylva might be a good candidate since she has kept her head on straight despite no memory of the past, which makes Max get drunker and snappier while sharing a table with them after playing darts - turning Asarar off. Ylva seems taken with the idea and begins to learn more about it, on the condition of no sex which is hard for a dragoon to do.

Meanwhile, Riki begins to act odd like she is in heat, and Su doesn't seem to notice; rubbing on everyone and smelling them, and acting more friendly than Riki friendly, and Asarar even seems to loosen up a little, showing more affection to Ylva finally, reflecting on the past a little. As Asarar begins to learn a secret project, Max and Luci finally are set up on a date by Kira and get a little show by her, then have sex.

Verse 3, S.2: Session 7: Bloody Night

Date: 4.6.5990 CE
Asarar is planning a new job when corporate police enter the bar down below looking for Wolfe. They inform him that the thugs he brought in for slave traffiking have basically slipped out of their bonds in a cover up and that they had to let them go. The officer who lets him know, Posco, lets Wolfe know that they will likely want to come after him unless he does something about it, underhandedly looking for a bribe. Asarar, Luci, and others upstairs listen in on the conversation, Wolfe's actions previously unknown to them.

After the cops leave, the group meets and Asarar hacks into the police DB to find out more on Posco and to see if they can find a good cop they can get to push the incestigation on. They find Posco is a very blacked out file that screams a corporate plant. Asarar mentions that there seems to be a strange interest in these girls that they picked up, the Biotech girls especially since they seem oddly outdated. They also find an Aurit Officer named Kyle who seems to fit the bill as a good officer they can trust. They head out to go find Kyle while Otto heads out to plant the evidence in the now cleaned crime scene for someone to find.

Heading to Kyle's apartment, the group sees the open eye of the Enlightened on a wall and Luci informs them of the scorched earth way in which that group operates. Entering into Kyle's apartments, they see the signs of another tech-runner gang, the Seekers. Luci again informs them of this group, a group insisting on a conspiracy that they constantly seek informaiton on. Going up to the 66th floor, they meet him at the door, inside they see, strangely, an out of date Biotech maid. They discuss the case with Kyle who at least accepts the files they give him, while he seems to be loudly insistent that he's against any dishonesty or going against the rules. The team waits outside and witnesses Kyle leaving with the files, apparently going off to investigate.

On the way home the group learns their other job was completed by a solo act knowin as Code Geiss, a solo act who is something of a legend. They accept the loss and possible luck they didn't have to tango with such a person, and continue on home. There they find a crowd and blood on the wall. The blood reads "The corruption of female bodies ends in blood. Bloody Night." The bodies are that of a hooker and Riki. Riki is still alive, and Luci uses her Trauma kit to keep her alive till the doctor arrives. Riki is found to have "candy" that Kira Li analyzes turns out to be a drug that puts Fauna into heat, explaining her strange behavior of late. She tells the group that a nice man gave her the candy and her story leads them to believe the hooker was the man's supplier. Wherever he is is unknown. The doctor treats Riki as people begin to investigate.

Verse 4, M2

Su and Ylva stay by Riki's side, while Asarar begins to work herself to the bone trying to find the person on the files. Otto makes them lose a lot of customers dragging the body into the club to do a dissection and it is unknown if people will recover from this one. However, after a bit Riki seems to come out of her healing session and mentions being hungry, showing signs of old self, despite the fact Su looks like she has aged a few years - even though Faunas shouldn't show signs of age.

Verse 5, S.3: Session 8: Night Life

Pisco comes into the bar, looking for Otto in the skin he was wearing while bringing the body from the attack. He orders everyone to clear out, shutting down the bar to run an investigation. He tries getting into personal areas, including Wolfe's room. While he's doing that, Asarar and Kira Li look into getting a home address for Rosio. Finding nothing after an hour, they leave and the team gets ready to move out to quad 2, where the jewelry came from.

They all climb into a cab to take the monorail, wary of tailers. After losing a cop car following them, they climb into the monorail. They reach Quad 2 safely, which is more than what other passengers can say, and start searching shops. There they meet an old woman who sells hand-made jewelry designed after the spirits. The group asks her questions, learning that someone ordered a lot of them, a full set even. Kira stays behind to question her more while the others move back for the monorail to follow up on their lead. Kira learns that a nun bought charms there as well.

At this point Wolfe has finally caught up to them and humorously leaps onto the monorail, dog-style. They get off in Quad 5, finding the complex where the man lives, and gets Otto to mimic his voice to get the group let in. They find their man and Wolfe leaps on him before he can run for it. It turns out he's the boyfriend of the hooker that was killed, and they created a new drug so that she wouldn't have to turn tricks anymore. Right as he's talking about the shootout he starts foaming at the mouth, overdosing on drugs. Ylva manages to buy the group time to get him to a real doctor to better take care of him.

Back in the bar, Asarar works on connecting the victims. The name that she heard earlier has ties to another bar, just a couple of doors down, with supposed ties to Tiger, an enemy of Kira's. Asarar keeps the girls from going out, even with protection, to avoid being confused for prostitutes. She double checks while she waits for the man to wake up, and has the others keep an eye out on Rosio.

Verse 6, S.4: Session 9: Blood Light District

Officer Kyle comes to talk to Asarar and her computations finish, and apparently the girls worked for a man called Big Tony. Big Tony "collects" girls and makes them work for him. Kira also lets the team in on someone else who was in on the shooting, a nun that the old woman she talked to the other day described. Apparently she's gone serial killer on prostitutes, hiding out in an abandoned, shot-out orphanage. The group leaves to investigate the orphanage. Riki decides to tag along, Wolfe making her another one of his hoods.

When they arrive at the orphanage, Max and Wolfe can smell the death from the outside. They find a secret passage that leads deeper, Max staying behind to stand watch. The others head down and find the bodies of the orphans who died, and as they look around more, the trapdoor is closed on them, Max knocked out and kidnapped. Riki helps free them and track down Max. They find him in a trash can not far from them, having been drugged.

They track the killer back to Tony's, the nun having gone back there for one last shot at the pimp. Asarar voulenteers to stay behind and watch over Max as he sleeps, Wolfe and Otto going to bury the children's bodies, and the rest going clubbing to catch the killer. The women get in easy since the bouncers think that they'll be easy picking for Tony. They look around and catch one woman suspiciously working her way into the VIP area. Meanwhile, Max wakes up and starts heading for the bar.

The group at the bar let the others know that the killer is leaving, and Max spots someone walking out of the bar. He starts following them. Meanwhile Kira finds some bodies in the VIP area, as well as enough explosives to level the place. When the place blows, Max rushes back, despite losing the person he was following to do so, to help save the girls. Wolfe and Otto join in and together they save as many as they can.

Verse 7, S.5: Session 10: Scars

With Tiger's clubs getting rises in security measures, Asarar decides to look deeper into it. Kira, meanwhile, finds out that the nun was the daughter of a famous surgeon, and had a sister who looks very close to her. They come up with a few theories, such as Krista, the doctor, snapping when her dad and possibly Trista, the nun, die, or that Krista has dragged Trista into it. They gather the team upstairs to explain everything, then realize that the third floor is oddly lacking a singer and dancer.

Seeing that VIP Room 3 is dark, the team moves into posistion, assuming the killer is in the bar. Meanwhile, a person wearing red hands Riki an item, causing her to head upstairs. Riki, Luci, and Max head up to check up on her while the others head for floor 1. Riki explains that the person said to come alone or that Su would die. Riki is pulled into the dark VIP room.
In the room, Su is shaking and pointing at someone, who is holding Riki hostage. However, Wolfe surprises them and causes them to run. Keeping Riki hostage, the nun kidnapper fights her way through the building, while a suspicious Redhead is led to the bar by Max and Asarar. Eventually, both are captured by the group and Riki is saved. The more medical savvy of the group go attend to Su while the others debate what to do with the Murder Sisters. Either way it seems like they're heading for a bad time.

The sisters are taken into custody by Kyle and the group picks up another quick job. There's a shipment of bio-tech and meds shipping out that they plan to break into, since they need the medical supplies. The group heads out, going into Quad 4, where they meet a tiny girl who Wolfe adopts. Max, in an uncharacteristically smart move, looks under trucks to see if anyone was dumb enough to leave keys laying under them. They were and he grabs them, Asarar creating a portal to smuggle the drugs out more easily. They grab as many packs as they are comfortable getting, managing to get out before anyone can catch them, their restraint paying off.

Verse 8, M5

4.18 - 4.26 5990 CE
With the team recovering after their ordeals, they spend time focusing on their own inner scars. Su slowly gets healthier and goes back to dancing, while Bonnie, the waif brought in by Wolfe, attaches to him quickly and becomes his third Red. She drops vague and confusing hints on what she could be while moving about and learning from each of them, talking about finding a master, and seems to mimic Wolfe's habits since he is the one who took her in and gave her a red clothing outfit.

Ylva and Luci slowly start to begin the process of bonding, attempting to get to know one another, upsetting Max who throws a tantrum that even surprises Asarar who is at their table once. During this, Asarar has begun to put her focus toward working on the Net, using componets they stole during one of their earlier jobs and making chairs for the team to jack into it. Once done, she begins to go in and fortify the club against other NetRunners from using the Net to enter the club, then going about and making the club more fun inside the Net, a natural inside it being a Runner herself. Apparantly it still reflects time long ago inside the building with paintings and statues of the original dancers and singers and entertainers.

Taking the girls, Kira, Bonnie, and so on out shopping, Asarar buys new clothing in the Nue Age district and buys herself new club outfits as well as lingeer, and spends her time expanding her horizons so to speak, while Max and Luci begin to cool and Max spends his time doing what he does best - drinking and throwing darts, and complaining to everyone. Upon returning, Asarar and Kira go clubbing, while Bonnie chats with Max and strikes up a friendship, but is told she is too young and gets forgetten by the weretiger in time.

However, Max and Su soon start a friendship with his watching her erotic stripdancing on the club's third floor. One night while Kira and Asarar are out clubbing then going to a love hotel, Max convinces Su to go with him on a date, and thinking it is just a friend thing, she accepts, since to most people it is clear that Max and Luci are a couple. They go out to barbeque and have a friendly talk and upon returning, Max attempts to kiss her in front of Luci, much to her surprise. Upon that, Su tells him that while she is open to it, unlike Max who tells her weretigers have multiple mates, she is a one person type of girl and doesn't share. She moves off, assuming that is that until Max moves after her and tells her that is what he wants and cements the relationship.

Except that less than hour later he goes on a mission with Luci and recants on the relationship with Su, after hurting Luci's feelings and gets back with her. Su, having been used by customers due to being a fauna and her past jobs, is barely kept at the club by Asarar who has returned and requests to be moved to the normal part of the club's hotel and clings to Riki. During all this, Max spirals more and more into his drinking and depression, and Kira chides him hard. Asarar offers to talk to him if he needs listening to, being suspicious when it comes to something regarding Max and his account lately.

When he finally comes to bounce off, Kira is seen leaving her room in a robe only, Asarar sleeping in the nude. She wakes up after Kira lays into Max once more, and Max tells her his life story about his sister and himself and she tells him what she thinks, and soon Max and Luci sex once more, putting him in a good mood once more for the time being.

So far, Ylva and Luci's bonding remains slow, and Bonnie has not been seen in a bit.
