Chapter 3: Names

Verse 1, S.1: Session 88: The Tiger and the Dragon

Kumen Pleasure City
2.4.5991
It’s been a little less than a month and a half since the proposal, but Max and Luci are on their way to be married in a service held in the Pleasure City. Wolfe literally letting it down since he had assumed a female form for the train ride (much to the delight of Luci who gets more napkin drawing ideas). Being forced to play the part of maids and butlers on the train, they make their way to the reserved chapel where everyone can let their hair down and ready themselves. Out in the pleasure city itself they’re all amazed at the sheer amount of real plants, actual sand and various other luxuries that are present. As they prepare, the best location that they can detect for a shard is at the peak of the Pleasure City’s Bio-dome.

It’s not long before the chapel is filled with Fauna and Aurits, as well as Hood whom Max swears he ‘accidentally’ addressed the invitation to the completely wrong location, the members of the Tech Crew having dressed up in elegant and impressive clothes. Ymir being tasked with Maid of Honor duties, as well as giving Luci away, in place of Ortora who couldn’t attend. As Luci and Max meet on the dias for the exchange of vows, they and several other attendees are astonished when the priest begins with “Mawwage…” and is quickly replaced by Hood toting a license to marry Aurits and Fauna.

Skipping several of the more traditional parts such as the actual exchange of rings, and using a joined oath verbal to which Luci and Max both give “I do’s”, Hood pronounces the couple as officially married. Hood giving a celebratory smack to Max’s posterior before going to join the post-wedding celebration; Asarar taking the opportunity to depart and look into the shard while everyone enjoys themselves. Luci ‘tossing’ her bouquette into Ymir’s hands so that she can be the next bride; her garter landing in Kira’s cleavage.

The liquor and red-meats abound, the phigglets being hidden from sight of the cooks so they aren’t accidental additions to the menu, Luci and Max gently sharing their first bites of their wedding cake. Wolfe being blackmailed to do the Best Man duties and give a speech flatly denies the possibility, so Hood steps up and provides a liberal helping of boastful applause and generous inflation to Max’s ego…and suitable praise for Luci. With Hood departing to deal with something in his eye, Luci draws on another napkin…”A mysterious H gets between our boys”.

It isn’t long before Asarar returns, looking slightly disheveled and not too much worse for wear, but no sooner has she taken a seat before the entire facility shudders. After gulping down a glass of wine Asarar announces that it’s time for them to head back to the train; apparently while she was gone Asarar had climbed to the top of the dome and removed the centerpoint crystal that was powering the entire dome, with it gone the artificial environment was dying out. In lieu of their expected relaxation time, Asarar promises to take them all to Geyze to celebrate. However that requires them to find and recover the two other shards.

Verse 2, S.2: Session 89: The Twins

Geyze – The Academy
2.5.5991
The members of Unit 6 rise to find that Sasha has left with Delgi, Kito and Vyvy; Karen having returned home a day before for unknown reasons; as they consider what this means a message is brought for the unit to come to Shion’s office. Alita, Ceilia, Mykel, Liana, Gwen and Selena with a toy sword in tow head up to be briefed. What they learn there is that a summons has come in for Alita and Ceilia to return home to assist with an outbreak of some sort but before heading there they are requested to stop in at the Daemon Capitol, Miyuki joining them before the paperwork is finalized where she resumes her Headmistress duties, and young Selena left in Shion’s care.

With Celsius’ assistance they arrive in the Daemon Capitol and head to find out what is going on, finding Sasha, Rain, Kito and Delgi in conversation with Vyvy regarding Karen’s actions; she had attempted to steal away the essence of Shade within Vyvy and tried to sacrifice herself to bring Shade back, a young looking Vampire trying to settle things. The empresses youngest sister Shinobu working to assist in place of her elder sister; while the unit is briefed about the illness Miyuki makes her way off to find Neophyx. Alita and Ceilia press for information along with Sasha as Miyuki comes across a stricken Neophyx resting in her rooms, apparently suffering from the same disease that those in the twins’ home have come down with.

With Celsius’ aid they come to Alita and Ceilia’s home, the Winged City, only to find it mostly deserted and the air stale; quickly making their way in the direction of their home, the come across a museum turned hospital. Alita and Ceilia continue to their home nearby, letting Mykel search the makeshift hospital for their parents; the aid of a doctor sending him towards the area where the most critical cases are resting. The bond between Mykel and Alita giving them word immediately and a location to head to; finding them lying in a corner, their skin mostly transparent and jelly-like. Sasha, Liana, Gwen, Ceilia and Miyuki converse outside to give them privacy.

As the twins attempt to stem the tide of the disease, there are several teary eyes and heartfelt questions posed to Alita and Ceilia; this continues while Delgi considers her own memories and tries to figure out what is going on. Alita finally decides to find Miyuki and see if she might be able to assist due to her knowledge and experience (old) who agrees to help. While they head back to try, Delgi finally realizes something and gets transported there (after some hilarity due to the constantly transported back and forth Celsius); when she arrives Delgi reveals that this illness is a result of the lack of spiritual energy inside a body and the only way to cure it is to infuse the affected with the essence of a spirit, a substance that can be obtained by either using the life force of a spirit or the residual essence they leave behind in areas that they stay for long periods of time.

When this is revealed to Alita, the request quickly comes down to Celsius to recover as much residual essence she can and return to assist in healing the afflicted…starting with Alita and Ceilia’s parents. At the same time, there’s concern that the ultimate source of the disease is from the Rogue Magi who may be hiding at the Academy.

Verse 3, M.1:

It becomes apparant that Alica and Ceilia plan to torture Mykel by having their dad ask Mykel 100 questions if he is worthy, while Sasha works out ways by asking memory orbs they found questions about Aska and formulating a plan to get close to get a chance to make a pact with her. Vyvy soon takes the chance to use the orbs to try to find a way to ask about Shade to try to bring her back as well. During all this, Selena, the child of Celes and Liana, continues to crawl around and boink people, and the 4 kittens of Isis and Miyuki grow stronger every day.

Also, Isis has taken it upon herself to begin training Mykel in the usage of his psionic power.

On the other side on Kumen, Asarar begins to face Asarar as the two struggle to gain control of the body. The more human and emotional Asarar tries to find out more about herself before she became the biotect version in the hopes of finding another body to apply her consciousness.

Verse 4, S.3 Session 90: The Computer

Open Space – The Aquarius
2.6.5991
The Aquarius’s exploration into known space continues, their mission to find the Centerpoint fragments remains; and they happen upon a planetoid that seems to have no inhabitants but are still greeted normally, even directed to where they can dock. As soon as they do the planet, which seems to be made of innumerable technological trees, reaches out to connect with the ship and initiates data transfers. As the Aquarius’s computers become overwhelmed, Gor and Airym attempt to correct the breach only to be overwhelmed by an electrical surge rendering them both unconscious for a short bit. When they awaken, they find themselves part of a neural networking interface comprised of thousands of sentient computers.

Recognizing that there’s a danger to the ship and the crew, Gor and Airym delve into trying to communicate via the network to the host server; relaying why they’re there, safe communications and scanning formats, and just what organic life is. The Server entities finally agree that organic life is acceptable, though they are still wary of the Aquarius’s past visits to other worlds causing destruction. Meanwhile, Cookie and Kitty debate the source of existence as a whole…Giant Spaghetti Monsters and all; Erica also considers awakening the Tech-Spirit so that it can re-infuse the ship with its essence and protect the ship.

With the Server entities decision that the Aquarius and crew pose no threat against them, they are released; and Yuki reveals what one of her scans has shown, a Centerpoint fragment is located in the heart of the sentient computer world. Bringing this to the attention of the Server, the crew asks if they may remove it; a request that is firmly rejected, citing that it is needed for their continued survival. Airym and Gor head to create a simulation to figure out what would occur, Saoirse and Yulindhe joining them in order to create a replacement crystal based off of information provided by Airym on Centerpoint’s Operating Programs. The results after a great deal of work: if the shard is removed there’s an 80% chance of destroying the Server World, if the shard is replaced with Yulindhe’s created substitute there’s a 5% chance of destroying it.

Accepting the odds the Server entities allow the Aquarius crew to proceed if they choose the odds are in their favor and after several hours of work, Airym and Gor return to the Aquarius with the Centerpoint fragment secured.

Verse 5, S.4 Session 91: Names

2.10.5991

Kumen – The Club

Most of the crew is relaxing on the main floor, Luci and Max still enjoying their status as newly-weds; Asarar going over some intel with Jelly nearby watching her. Ylva is off trying to find out about a location in the city that Asarar has been looking into. With only a small notice to Jelly, Asarar decides to head out into the Net; an act that Jelly decides warrants the inclusion of others, sending off a message to Kira, Chelsea and Luci before he follows after her into the Net. Following after Asarar’s data-reader ID, Jelly ignores most of what is going on in the Net; to his own detriment as he’s found by a group of prowlers, forcing him to flee after Asarar for assistance. Abandoning what she was planning, they head back to the club and meet up with the others as they’re about to follow a trail Jelly had been leaving.

With her private investigation blown, Asarar is upset and a translator for Jelly is again mentioned, but a little too late it seems. When pressed about letting people who care for her know what’s going on, Asarar makes comments that slightly upset some of the crew; as they talk there’s a notice from Netron about new experimental mod’s and requesting Aurits and Fauna’s to assist. Ylva deciding that this is the only opportunity to deal with some of the corporations that are supporting Macross, assumedly to Macross itself to confront Maxwell Terran, heads out without telling anybody what she’s doing, Ymir following after a couple minutes. A note from “C” stating that the walls to Netron will be wide open for them shortly.

Realizing that there’s a problem, and with news coming out that the Spirit Name Killer has struck again, the remaining crew debate for a short bit of where they should go…after Ylva to stop her from going to Macross or to Netron to retrieve one of the Reality Shards from their building and stop their research at the same time? Most of the crew argue that they cannot leave Ylva and apparently Ymir to the hands of Maxwell Terran, getting their gear together and heading out. Requesting help from Sen and using Sector Zero as a gateway, they arrive at the Macross HQ to find Ymir being chased by a retrieval robot; Max launching himself from the van and smacking it away from the poor girl, as they regroup and start heading out Jelly shoots it with his tech-pack and fries a good number of circuits.

Ylva however is not at the Macross HQ, and everyone finally realizes that “C” stands for Cat…a nickname that Asarar has for Ylva; forcing them to speed off to the next sector of the city to Netron. When they arrive they find an aptly cat-shaped hole blown in a wall, security all over the place, and medical staff preparing to go in due to several deaths from the Spirit Name Killer. Taking the initiative and knocking out several of the medical personnel, they steal a gurney and head up in their place; warned to stay off of the 45th floor since that’s where the perpetrator is being dealt with. Arriving on the 44th floor, the crew makes its way past several dead Netron Executives, and are surprised when they find the barely still alive 12 year old Darkoni President of Netron.

With an Enforcer Robot showing up and fighting against Ylva, the crew has to quickly disable it before following after Ylva, taking the President along with them up to where the reality shard is located. There’s some questions posed of the Darkoni President, but she’s barely able to answer, mostly moaning in pain and groaning. Getting to the laboratory floor with the president in tow, they come to a secured door; Kira and Max realizing that they can enter easily by using the presidents palm scan, only to find the reality shard being subjected to computer scans for the experimental mods the Corporation is trying to create. With the shard recovered, they quickly head downstairs after resuming their façade of being a medical team and drop the President off with another ambulance; quickly high-tailing it away from the facility before they’re discovered. Asarar vowing “Later, we all should have a long talk.”

Verse 6, S.5 Session 92: So Sweet It Hurts

3.5.5991
A month has passed and the Club team has been called for by the CoreSec president, the members getting their things together and heading over to meet with Sen. When they arrive they learn that one of the Asarar’s that have been swapping back and forth had requested a new body for the other; and given CoreSec’s progress with Spirits, a Biotect Spirit body has been made for one of the persona’s. Agreeing to look at the body, the group is then briefed on a different matter; after a deadlocked vote within the Corporations there was an attempt on the President’s life, and the image of the perpetrator leaves Chelsea and Luci astonished to see a face from the past…Bourbon.

With Asarar staying behind to inspect the new body, the others head down to the Quad Slums where Chelsea and Luci both recall an apartment where Bourbon had used. They discover a young Aurit girl who Wolfe immediately adopts and tames with food before proceeding into the apartment; there they find several documents that include instructions from a corporate entity for the singular purpose of weakening smaller companies for hostile takeovers. While investigating continues upstairs, Asarar, a shorter haired version of Asarar and Luci arrive outside only to get attacked by the very person they’re looking for. Bourbon recalls the fight against Luci from years prior and holds her responsible for his current state; cybernetics and various other tech grafted to him and slave to an unknown Corporation.

Working together they’re able to disable Bourbon and keep him from escaping, but Chelsea has to perform open-back surgery on her former comrade in order to disable an explosive that was set against his heart. When the explosive is defused, they head back to the Club to recover; Bourbon being put up in Max’s old room to rest under the ever-watchful gaze of security cameras, Asarar moving a bunch of her things into Kira’s room on a permanent basis, and Cypher taking up residence in the room connected to Chelsea’s.

Verse 7, S.6 Session 93: Family Responsibilities

The Academy
3.7.5991
As Shion considers recent events and wondering when her mother will resume her position as Headmistress, Unit 6 discusses the newly unveiled alliance between Hapian and the Legion. Its goal is to protect Geyze against the hostile advancements that are being suggested by certain corporations on Kumen. The Hapian Empress pushing forward a campaign against Kumen, despite its past friendly ties, garnering favor with both the Naturalists as well as the Plant Kingdom. Shion briefs the Unit and suggests that using Mykel’s familial ties to the Legion, they may be able to get some inside information on what is being planned. Leaving it in the hands of Sasha and Mykel to decide how best to get into Jules’ good graces.

With several suggestions in mind, some less appealing than others, it’s agreed that they need to know the exact situation in the Legion before anything else is decided. Salamander is called upon to provide quick transportation to Pyrhic.

Pyrrhic – Legion Republic Capital
Mykel, Sasha, Liana, Karen, Alita, Ceilia, Gwen and Vyvy are shown to a guest area where they are met by Kaiser Jules; whose initial interest lays in Vyvy. Using the pretense of trying to get to know (and get along) with family, Mykel tries to prompt Jules into talking; an attempt that seems to fail since Jules tries to leave. Vyvy interjects and accuses Jules of war-mongering, which brings forth more discussion but the only information gained is that the Legion joined the Alliance with Hapian for the express purpose of protecting Geyze.

While they consider Jules’ words, a message is sent to Hapes asking to meet with him; the rest of Unit 6 heads to a separate room, trying to give the two men a chance to talk amongst themselves while they discuss other ideas such as bringing the spirits together and getting their collective opinions on this alliance. Hapes and Mykel don’t get far with their talk, hitting walls since Hapes isn’t comfortable talking about sensitive topics or really opening up. The bit of good feelings that are built are squashed when Mykel realizes that Hapes is still thinking of Qui…and blurts it out before thinking just as Alita tells him to not mention Qui through their bond.

With little gained from the meeting with Hapes, the members of Unit 6 talk about how to proceed; several marriage suggestions later they arrive at the idea of bringing the Amazon’s to the Alliance and letting Qui be their inside person. A proposal that Gwen feels can only be suggested to Qui herself, Salamander being asked to transport them once again.

Themyscira - Amazon Capital
Arriving to speak with Qui, Unit 6 relays to her their hopes and plan, asking her to accept the invitation to join the Alliance. Using her position from within to work towards peaceful goals and providing information to the Academy on what exactly is being planned. Vyvy adds her endorsement to joining, seeing merit in the kingdoms working together with the spirits for a common defense; her position as advisor swaying the Queen. A gold token bearing her personal crest being given to Mykel so that he can present it to Jules as her Agent in this matter.

Pyrrhic - Legion Republic Capital
Upon Unit 6’s return they are granted another meeting with Kaiser Jules, Mykel taking the lead and successfully baiting Jules into interest in taking the credit for bringing the Amazon’s into the Alliance. Jules is surprised that Mykel has earned the Queen’s agreement, presenting the token as proof of this brings Jules’s to reconsider his opinion of his cousin; the two heading off to drink and talk.

Verse 8, S.7 Session 94: How the Cookie Crumbles

3.10.5991
The Aquarius
The past month has gone by relatively quietly for the Aquarius crew, several members relaxing or playing while others become closer in their relationships. The vessel cruises along the established space lanes and as it enters a nebula the power systems seem to shut down. Most of the command crew heading to the bridge to meet Samson there in order to find out what is going on; once there they are assailed by reports coming in of disturbances and deaths of engineers. Reminiscent of the killings Susan had committed shortly after the initial launch of the ship, groups head out; Samson and Airym heading to medical while Cookie, Denise and Yuki head for engineering.

In medical, Samson and Airym find Susan sitting alone in her secure room, the staff usually present is gone. While Airym cannot make sense of the systems logs or do comprehensible scans, they decide to bring Susan along as they go to assist the others in engineering. Kitty and Gor, who had gone to try to supply power for the ship, find their efforts fruitless and decide to head there as well.

Erica hoping that the Spirit Engine can help out decides to wake up the waiting Spirit, naming her Mireille, the young spirit is confused about her surroundings and doesn’t recognize it as the ship she’s supposed to connect with.

In engineering, Cookie, Denise and Yuki are faced with a peculiar obstacle; a spatial rift is in engineering and seems to be sucking in anyone who gets close, on the other side of the rift Little is struggling with a masked assailant. As Little and her foe get dragged towards the rift, Cookie and Kitty (from inside a ventilation duct) work to help their friend. Cookie anchoring to a fixture and moving closer while Kitty drops down atop Little and her foe before rippling them all to safety with Cookie. The rift flickers and changes colors as they lay and watch; Erica on the bridge getting a notification that others are coming through is prompted to head down with a Yulindhe empowered Saoirse in tow.

From the flickering rift step X and Leira, the mothers of Kitty and Cookie, and are quickly greeted by their long lost daughters; but even the feeling of being in the arms of a loved one doesn’t faze Cookie who silently tries to confirm the presence of her mother telepathically. With her scans being bounced back, Cookie is left confused and trying to confirm that her psionics are working correctly; while Kitty is wholeheartedly trying to keep the peace between her mother and Gor. The peace is short-lived though, as Sao arrives and begins commenting on things; and on a hunch tries to test X’s behavior by absently insulting Kitty.

Feeling betrayed, Kitty responds to the verbal abuse with physical force before moving off with her mother intending on going back with her through the rift to their own world. By this point Cookie has realized part of what is going on, the others providing additional input on the matter; and she begrudgingly says goodbye to her mother, causing her to disappear. It becomes a race at this point to save Kitty from her own mental prison in the form of X, Gor being pushed to the forefront and reminding Kitty of the bond that they share and imploring her to stay with him for just a while longer. Kitty finally responds and agrees to stay, saying goodbye to X.

The command crew wakes up on the bridge, their time running through the ship, in engineering, meeting Leira and X...all of it the product of a Dreamscape that was brought about by Cookie’s latent psionics being hijacked by a sentience within the nebula. The damage has been done though, Kitty storming off the bridge after declaring "I hate all of you right now"; several of those closest to her quietly reeling from the pain those words have caused. Yuki vowing to get Kitty home the first chance they get.

Verse 9, S.8 Session 95: DeathNote

3.13.5991
Geyze - The Academy
It’s been a week since Unit 6 has secured Qui and the Amazons into the Geyze Alliance with the Legion and Hapian; returning only recently due to dealing with family affairs as well as returning the golden token to Qui. Since their return the unit has been relaxing a bit while others work; Gwen investigating the five suspected magi students who may be the Rogue Magi in a new body. While dealing with an accident where Gwen fell on one of the suspects, it’s announced that there will be a meeting of each of the Units.

Kumen - The Club
Asarar has called a meeting to discuss some news with the tech crew; the Darkoni Corporate President has awoken and is seeking to thank those who saved her, and there’s still a great deal of worry and blame going around regarding the True Name Killer. As the topic focuses on where the names come from, and who gives them, the decision is made to find out first hand and ask a Spirit from Geyze about the matter. Cypher leaving the meeting after a short talk with Asarar; the meeting ending after Asarar puts a request in with Sen for a shuttle.

Geyze - The Academy
The Unit Briefing is underway, news gathered by the various Units being shared openly with those present; the Hapians are creating a new Space Platform for a fleet of shuttles that are suspected to be for either a pre-emptive or counter attack against Kumen. Worse is the fact that Eve has been sighted at the construction site in apparent control of the project. As members of the respective units speak up or suggest things they’re disrupted by a loud boom from outside, everyone heading out to see a shuttle aflame and descending rapidly towards the Academy.

With most of the units spreading out to start ushering students to safety, Miyuki and Unit 6 work together to slow and secure the shuttle; Vyvy transforming with Spira and Mykel transforming with Alita to head off and intercept the shuttle while Miyuki uses frost and ice to extinguish the fires and slow it. Once the shuttle is secured it is brought back to the Academy grounds where the hatch is opened to reveal the Tech Crew, several of them sporting injuries and complaining about being shot down.

Undine being the first spirit summoned to assist with injuries causes quite a stir, Salamander and Celsius arriving shortly afterward move to answer questions while Undine miraculously repairs the shuttle damages before turning her attention to the most damaged member of the Tech Crew...Jelly. Being held by Max, Jelly is forced to submit to Undine’s care, despite biting and verbal abuse his mind is slowly fixed by the water spirit. Asarar, Kira, Vyvy and Ymir begin the task of asking about spirit names, and eventually find out the truth; Geyze spirits cannot use Spirit Names in a way that brings harm. When it’s revealed that Kumen has created artificial spirits, Salamander is infuriated and offended; calling them all fools she explains that an artificial spirit likely isn’t bound by the same rules.

Kumen - The Club
By the time the Tech Crew returns, the Club is bustling and host to several interesting parties; among them a guy with sunglasses talking with Cam’dee, and a small and petite figure in a trench coat. Their arrival prompts Sunglasses to leave as the news plays out stating that Henry Cavet, the CEO of Tech-Corp, has died apparently from the True Name Killer. Luci heads to talk with Cam while others move to speak with Trenchcoat, finding out that it is the Darkoni President Twilight Ron`qu. Bringing her to a private booth there is a discussion brought forth, imploring the young-looking CEO to not blame Geyze and that their lead has brought them back to Kumen.

Verse 10, M.2:

Cypher reveals to Chelsea in her private hanger that she bought her that Asarar has fired her, while Ylva comes onto Darkoni President. Seducing the young president with copious amounts of alcohol and getting close to her, and perhaps a bit of hero's complex, a one night's stand occurs in which Twilight offers Ylva and her sister a place to stay in her Corporate HQ. At the same time, when Ylva learns that Asarar has thrown Cypher out, she becomes even more disillisioned with Asarar and ponders extremes such as attacking the club.

Cypher continues stating her desire to aid the team, even if she is not part of it; meanwhile, people like Luci think Asarar has made a mistake, stating she is cutting out part of her 'family' and so on, while Asarar rejects all the talk, reminding them this is a business and they have contracts with her that she pays. Only Wolfe seems to get it and she opens up that Cypher reminds her of Macross and everything that was done to her that she would like to forget , but it becomes clear that it will tear the team apart so she relents eventually after a week, deciding she has to figure out a way to work with her counterpart.

Verse 11, S.9 Session 96: Bloodlines

3.20.5991
Geyze - The Academy
With time seeming to race by, word has reached Shion of several things; Kumen is aware of the Holy Alliances actions and the Holy Alliance is aware of the Academy’s actions in saving the shuttle. Alita tries to repair the apparent waning relations with her Tamae, and hopes to use those relations to gain information on some of the suspects. With tensions seeming to mount Shion calls a briefing for Unit 6; the members coming together to consider the next move for the Unit and the Academy itself. The primary issues seem to be the un-restrained actions of Aska who is being influenced by Eve’s deluded worship and belief in the truth of Aska’s right as the light spirit to bring her to all. Those who oppose this view are heretics.

It is decided that Unit 6 will split its forces, a group heading to Hapian to infiltrate the Alliances ranks and attempt to usurp the bond to Aska when the time is right, and a group to remain at the Academy to work with the non-Allied Kingdoms and factions to keep actual fighting from breaking out between Kumen and Geyze, and the kingdoms as a whole.

Outside Hapian Capital City
Celsius, tasked with transporting the infiltration group impacts and bounces off of a barrier preventing Spirit travel into the Capital; Sasha, Liana, Gwen, Mykel and Kasha landing roughly and trying to recover their composure. As soon as Celsius is recovered from the barrier enough to return home and does so, than a hundred Holy Alliance soldiers spring a trap to capture them. One of the captains recognizes Sasha and the group is taken via flying carriage the rest of the way to the Capital and an audience there.

When they arrive they are greeted by the Empress Hapian in an empty throne room; Sasha explaining her presence by relaying the recent truths she’s uncovered (with Rain’s assistance) and that she is trying to return to her family. The Empress responds to this well, but gives Sasha and the others a word of unexpected warning; that Eve, while powerful and vindictive to those who cross her, is naive, trusting and easily manipulated if done correctly. With this warning done, they are joined by Eve, Jules and several high ranked Alliance Generals of the various kingdoms.

Eve immediately embraces Sasha, believing that Sasha has seen the light and left the ‘heretics’. As pleasantries are shared between Eve, Sasha and Liana; similar greetings are given to Mykel by Jules, and Gwen by the Amazonian General present. Considering the reunions, Eve declares that there should be a festival and that everyone will have rooms prepared.

The Academy
No sooner has the infiltration group departed than Miyuki’s plan is set into motion, requests being sent to the Daemon, Summoner and Ent Factions as well as to Qui to meet and discuss the matter at the Academy. They all arrive quietly and without being observed by curious eyes; Neophyx, Qui, Lady Gi and her daughter Leaf and Kalam. Miyuki making her case that the only path towards peace is for the Academy to technically abandon its neutrality and pursue a peaceful end that the Holy Alliance is ignoring and tempt a war between the kingdoms of Geyze.

It isn’t long before the leaders deliver their own verdicts; each of them will ally with the Academy to this end; Miyuki vowing to always use the route that results in the least bloodshed.

Verse 12, S.10 Session 97: Hildegard

3.25.5991
The Aquarius arrives at their last destination in known space, finding a planet that seems to be inundated with a large amount of energy; making contact they find that the place is known for the spiritual healing that it offers to those who visit. Deciding to investigate while continuing to establish friendly relations with new worlds, the crew departs the ship in order to relax and take advantage of various hot springs, treats and a simple friendly atmosphere. Airym and Kaylin head off to consider details of travelers canceling plans to visit this planet while Erica, Yuki and Cookie head to one of several temples to investigate it.

Inside the Temple Erica, Yuki and Cookie find themselves transported to a scene from years before; a younger Erica climbing out of her family home while her father considers his unruly daughter. Erica takes the opportunity to confront her father Gustaf Hildegard, believing this is simply a scenario allowing her to express her inner-most feelings to a family member she is estranged from. As the thoughts and emotion-filled words fly, the image slowly fades; on the mantle of the temple rests a Reality Shard. When the shard is removed the entire world fades away to be replaced by a dead wasteland and forcing the crew to evacuate to the ship before the atmosphere disappears completely.

Making it back to the Aquarius in time, the crew counts their blessings while Erica’s console lights up with a personal message; a video letter from her father that was delayed on its arrival until the moment of his passing. The letter a sharp contrast to the man Erica remembers growing up and showing a man with high hopes and a great deal of pride in his beloved daughter. When the message ends Yuki takes a distraught Erica to her quarters to rest while the rest of the crew considers the prospect of the shards actually creating life and sentience.

Verse 13, S.11 Session 98: Ymir

4.1.5991
Kumen - The Club
With Ylva staying at Net-Ron with the CEO Asarar has begrudgingly marked her as off the team. While most of the tech-group is busy doing various tasks, Asarar decides to check on a lead for their next job, Luci and Max heading with in case she needs the help; on their way out they see Cam’Dee having a disagreement with her Sunglasses and Trenchcoat friend. They arrive and begin surveillance at Net-Ron where a party is expected to occur in honor of Henry Cavet, Asarar hoping to take the opportunity to get intel on all of the Corporate CEO’s.

It quickly becomes apparent that they’ll need to infiltrate the party under disguise as caterers in order to get the intel they’re after; Kira, Luci and Max going after certain staff members that will fit their physical criteria. It takes some time, but they’re finally able to get the supplies they need, in time for Chelsea to join up after raising some concerns to Cypher about why Jelly is obsessed with observing Bourbon. After donning their disguises, Max with fake breasts and Asarar being a bald guy, they head to the party to begin their intel gathering.

Ylva is initially concerned about joining the party since she expects her father Maxwell Terran to show up; Twilight assuring her that Terran can’t touch her. Ymir is delighted at the opportunity for fishy foods and chance to dress up. Pretty shortly the Corporate CEO’s are gathering, talking about the various troubles concerning the True Name Killer and blaming the deaths on Geyze; Ylva deciding to correct them and point out a few facts of her own, is surprised when her ‘father’ who hadn’t been seen as of yet pipes up in agreement (in his own way). Twilight quickly makes public note that Ylva and Ymir are her guests at the party, in hopes of warding Terran off. Before leaving, Terran puts an arm around Ymir’s shoulder and whispers in her ear.

Once the party ends, Asarar and the tech group joins back up and heads back to the Club; going over their collected information; Luci pulling Cam’Dee aside to talk with her. Twilight and Ylva do similarly, but the focus is on Maxwell Terran and what he whispered to Ymir; Twilight going over security footage to find the interaction. On the screen they find a small device placed to Ymir’s shoulder and hear Terran state "Ymir awaken"; when Twilight looks she finds that Ymir is gone from the facility, all the research she had done is gone. With little thought as to consequences Twilight begins a Corporate War with Macross, starting with the Media side.

Asarar finds the message board postings concerning the Marcoss backstab of Net-Ron and the fact that Ymir is missing, relaying it to the rest of the Tech-group; Max grinning from ear to ear in preparation of pounding Terran. Asarar announcing to them all "We’re going to get our kitty cat back."

Verse 13, S.12 Session 99: Collision Course

4.3.5991
Kumen – The Club
Asarar has brought the Tech Crew together to discuss a couple of matters, Cypher is there as well. First, they have been contracted to go after Macross Corp. and rescue Ymir from Maxwell Terran; many on the team seeming eager to finally deal with him directly. Second, Asarar has uncovered the truth about Cam’s Sunglasses and Trenchcoat friend; he has apparently been working with her closely to attack the corporations as the True Name Killer. The attacks matching up exactly with each time Cam had left. Unfortunately Cam’Dee isn’t in the building, raising concerns that she’s either going to go after Terran or to find her companion. They start looking for information on the companion and even tap on Sen from CoreSec to help identify him.

Geyze – The Academy
The varied forces of those seeking peace are beginning to arrive via portals created by Spirits; Amazons, Daemons, Ents and Summoners coming onto the grounds by the hundreds and joining the Academy Units that stand prepared to fight. Miyuki addresses the current students, trying to assuage their fears and concerns, before letting them all join their fellow Academy comrades to fight for the peace they hope for. Shion joining her mother and giving her a hug as they wait for the Spirits to open new portals to the Hapian fields.

Geyze – Hapian Capital
Kasha has been spending time at Aska’s summoner trial altar talking with both Eve and Aska about various things, but Sasha feels it’s time for the Unit members present to start working towards their goal. As Neek and Leeik begin explaining what is accessible via the tunnels Kasha returns to their rooms, only a few moments ahead of Eve arriving with Jules and guards in tow, demanding answers. Word has reached them of the forces mustering at the Academy, scrutiny immediately falling on Sasha, Liana, Mykel, Gwen and Kasha.

Kasha takes some unseen que and starts ingratiating herself with Eve; tempting her to ignore her advisors and actually pre-emptively attack Kumen as well as offering to fight on the field on Eve’s behalf. Claiming that Miyuki isn’t the only 9-tail anymore, Kasha continues her posturing and trying to win Eve’s trust. To test their loyalty the decision is made that Sasha, Liana, Mykel and Gwen will lead the Alliances forces against the Academy’s; which prompts them to return to their rooms.

Once there, several of them point out Kasha’s apparent willingness to plunge them further into war and questioning her sanity; unfortunately Kasha has gone off tospeak with Eve once more, trying to get even closer.

The Spirits Undine, Celsius, Plas, Volt and Norn create portals once more; allowing the Academies forces to move through and appear on the Hapian Fields near the new Space Port. In the chaos of moving through a certain Rogue-Magi suspect student has gone missing along with Karen. When they arrive they are greeted by the Hapian Holy Order Army along with the Spirits Salamander and Sylph; at the fore is Kasha standing in golden armor. As the armies start preparing for conflict and arraying themselves against each other, it’s noted by Alita that their comrades from Unit 6 are missing from the field.

Sasha, Mykel, Gwen and Liana are getting a few last questions in with the Empress before they move to act towards weakening Eve’s hold on and influence over Aska.

Deep Space – The Aquarius
With only partially understandable news reaching the Aquarius, the crew is set on edge at the bits that gets through to them; Kumen and Geyze on the brink of war with each other. Nervous glances and concerns going between Erica, Yuki, Cookie, Airym and Samson on the bridge; Erica finally deciding to turn the ship around and head back. Mireille being asked to power the Spirit Engines to get them back home quickly.

Verse 14, S.13 Session 100: House of Cards

4.3.5991
Outside Macross HQ
A crowd of Aurits and Fauna has gathered at the Macross HQ in order to get some of the recently released tech that will prevent them from going into heat. Cam’Dee and her tech-wearing friend approach, looking for Terran in order to enact their plan to kill him.

CoreSec HQ
The tech-team has met up with Sen in order to figure out the identity of Cam’s friend, and as they’re trying to track him down the nearby Macross HQ Explodes with a huge energy flash. As they scramble to find out what has occurred, Terran Maxwell comes across the News Networks to explain; he has found and stopped the Spirit-Name Killer, showing off an unconscious Cam’Dee, who he claims is a CoreSector Created and Controlled Spirit. Asserting that CoreSector (and the President) has been using the spirit to enforce her control and keep Kumen under her thumb. Terran suggests that a new President of CoreSec be put in charge; but states that the population needs to let the corporations and legal systems deal with things, pointedly mentioning ‘taking action into your own hands”.

With the obvious threat looming, the President and Sen begin locking down the area; telling the tech-team to head over to Macross and deal with the threat there. Asarar splitting off to retrieve an item from the Club.

4.4.5991
Geyze – Shuttle Port
As the two sides stare each other down Jules and Miyuki aren’t budging; Jules determined to defend the location and its function while Miyuki is adamant that this type of weaponry isn’t necessary and that it was wrong of Eve to decide to do this without the backing of every kingdom. Before long Sasha and the others are warped in and talks continue, Mykel trying to get his cousin to let them deal with this, while through his bond talking with Alita to do the same. The tension grows, the lines between the Daemon and Hapian forces seeming to divert the attention of the leaders, but are thankfully brought to heel.

As the sides pull back to a less hostile distance; Neophyx, Qui and Gi decide to take action by themselves getting Gnome and Undine to attack the shuttles directly. Before full-fledged fighting can break out, the spirits are brought back by Miyuki bending the knee and actually imploring for this conflict to be brought to an end.

Kumen
As the Tech-Team gets away from the Presidential Tower, they come across a road that has already had a mob move through it; finding a beat up and unconscious Ortora shoved beneath a car. Getting her dislodged they hurry off in a car towards a hospital while a cat-shaped mech engages the mob and uses non-lethal means to subdue the angry tide. Leaving her in the care of a hospital they continue to Macross’s HQ and meet up with Asarar; having retrieved a Reality Shard from the Club, she pushes it against the barrier around the Corporate Building. The energy of the shard and the barrier counteract each other and trigger an explosion of energy, a beam shooting up into the sky.

Geyze
As the various forces are backing off, a huge beam of energy slams into the Shuttle Pad triggering explosions all over. As the beam recedes, Salamander latches onto it to ride it back. Undine, trying to stop Salamander, is swept away with it.

Jules, having been tackled to safety by Mykel, immediately launches into a tirade about being attacked; ordering all of the Holy Alliance Forces to fall back to the Hapian Castle through portals. As Sasha and her undercover portion of Unit 6 follow through they find themselves back in their guest quarters, apparently their trustworthiness still in question. Shion, gathering the rest of Unit 6, and her mother, head off to break into the Castle itself.

Kumen - Aquarius
The Aquarius returns to normal space, the spirit engines shutting down, as the vessel floats above the Colony; Mireille being tired from the several day long trip. As they get their bearings they observe a mob assaulting the Presidential tower and nearing the upper floors, there’s no question of what needs to be done as the ship is maneuvered next to the tower and a hatch opened allowing several crew members to jump over. Not worrying about casualties after Sen throws one assaulter out of a window, there’s bullets and body-blows dealt out to a number of the mob; before the president can be safely extracted however her mask is destroyed, Yuki stupefied that ‘Taiga’ is there.

Only once ‘Taiga’, Sen and the functionality of the tower is transferred to the Aquarius, do they leave; Kitty explaining that the president is actually Tora. As Airym finishes transferring the protocols she monitors does a stunning transformation start on Kumen - the growth of flora at an accelerated rate.

Kumen - Macross HQ
As Terran watches, he is startled when two spirits are suddenly brought into his lab and seem to be drawn into the equipment; the watery one seeming to explode into droplets everywhere before the firey one melting the machinery before it can destroy her.

Below the Tech-Team makes their way further up using the stairs, having to rely on acrobatics and other assorted means to get past several obstacles such as missing sections. Finally they reach one of the upper laboratories only to find the way blocked by Ymir in a battle-mech.

Geyze
Shion and her group make their way under cover of night to the edge of the Hapian Castle and it’s barrier, noticing as they go that the vitality seems to be leaving the grass beneath them. Miyuki changing into fox form in an effort to distract the guards while Alita tries to contact Mykel inside the castle about lowering the barrier.

Sasha and the infiltration team consider their next move when Mykel reveals that they have assistance waiting to gain entry, Celsius being summoned in and tasked with disabling the Spirit Barrier around the castle. During this they continue planning their next step of bonding Sasha with Aska. Once the barrier is down, Celsius teleports back into the guest room along with Shion and the rest of Unit 6 spurring them all into immediate action; Neek, Leeik and Kito staying behind to buy them time as guards burst in.

As they get close to the altar where Sasha can attempt to bond with Aska they are brought to a halt; Jules stands blocking their way.

Kumen – Aquarius
With Sen and Tora safely aboard the ship, their attention turns to the colony and minimizing that damage that seems to be rampaging across: from the mobs and out of control fires. Ideas coming forward for non-lethal ways of dealing with the situation prompt action from many, and shortly they’re ready. Cookie maneuvering them above the Colony’s streets while Kaylin fires ionizing weapons to suppress fires and chemical-foam loaded torpedoes to subdue the mobs. As they consider how to deal with Salamander flying around the decision is made for them when the Fire Spirit notices the presence of “abominations” (Mireille and Yulindhe), angrily advancing on the ship only to be met with a Torpedo loaded with flame suppressant foam.

Kumen – Macross HQ
Ymir, still being controlled by Terran, attacks the Tech-Team only to be outnumbered when Kira, Wolfe, Max and Chelsea target and smash the limbs of her mech. Asarar and Cypher are injured in the beginning, but once Ymir is dragged out they find the controls that unlock the doors leading upward. Asarar targeting the device implanted in the back of Ymir’s neck with a knife to disable the control. As they continue up after Terran, they feel the presence of something they’re not familiar with but have experienced once before ... the presence of magic. As they enter another lab they’re taunted once more by Terran’s face on a monitor, jeering that Asarar is obsolete now that he’s completed his Spirit Project; another more spirit-like Asarar floats into the room.

Engaging this spirit proves risky, though several individuals quickly target the machinery in the lab while it’s kept at bay; the gamble proving worth it as the Spirit jerks in pain from their destruction. Not willing to let them go, the Spirit lashes out and tries to attack them further only to be stopped by Bourbon who had followed after them. Sacrificing himself to let them go ahead and get revenge for him.

Geyze – Altar of Aska
With Jules blocking their way, Mykel moves to the fore in an attempt to reason with his cousin, but when Jules draws a sword he’s is pounced upon by both Kasha and Miyuki. A tense and furious fight erupts, Jules versus Kasha, Miyuki and Ceilia; Alita providing supporting magics while Mykel makes the unfortunate decision to levitate his cousin and make it impossible to move or dodge properly. This allows them to attack Jules with little danger, except for the loss of one of Miyuki’s tails; Jules being incapacitated through the concerted efforts of the ladies, he is however saved from death by Alita, despite Mykel attempting to finish things permanently.

Sasha meanwhile attempts to connect with Aska, but it is learned that while Eve has her scepter she has complete dominance over Aska’s will; Celes slips away at this point. As Jules is left unconscious on the ground, Aska opens a portal to where Eve is and several step through to find Eve fighting against her older sister.

With several of them trying to engage Eve directly and suffering mild scrapes or cuts, Mykel puts a simple end to the fight by psionically forcing the staff away from Eve; this allows Sasha to form a bond with Aska without hindrance and of her own volition. Eve is reduced to mumbling to apparitions before she’s put to sleep by Kasha. The staff, it is decided, will be destroyed so it's power cannot be used again.

Kumen – Macross HQ
The Tech-Team arrives on the roof of Macross to find Terran trying to flee, but he is pulled from it by Wolfe, Max and Luci. Threatened with a 65 floor plummet or being reduced to dragon food, Terran quickly acquiesces to their custody. However, Ymir, still upset at her father, having been ‘mind raped’ and forced to fight her friends, brings an end to him by kicking him off the roof. Many are shocked, but some like Chelsea are strangely fine with her act of vengeance.

Kumen – The Aquarius
The ship is being knocked around by Salamander in the skies above the Colony, blame thrown around for foaming the fire spirit in the first place; Erica even showing maternal emotions when Salamander hits Mireille, but finally the fire spirit calms down. As this occurs Airym detects a significant reality distortion that seems to be pulling Kumen and Geyze towards each other, the anomaly originating at the Macross HQ.

A quick idea tossed out that the Spirit Engines could theoretically provide the thrust to ‘push’ the colony back into its position but it would need more power than Mireille can provide. Salamander reluctantly agrees to assist due to the danger to Geyze and feeling like she needs to make up for the death of her sister Undine. As the vessel moves into position to effectively ram the planet, Yuki pulls up the radio and starts talking with Asarar about destroying Macross HQ; the Spirit Engines hum but don’t even seem to burn out due to the energy provided by the two spirits.

Kumen – Macross HQ
The Tech-team, despite its injuries, evacuates after Asarar sets up charges and overloads the machinery to bring the building down; on their way out, stopping to rescue Cam’Dee and Chelsea, they even finding a 5-year old girl made of water. No sooner do they get to the street, than the building goes up in a tremendous explosion, heading en-masse towards the hospital where Ortora had been dropped off at earlier.

Kumen – The Aquarius
With the planets safe, the crew relaxes and the spirits exit the tube; celebratory hugs, cookies and ‘saved the worlds sex’ abound, but Salamander is melancholy as she looks out at the colony. Saoirse and Kitty suggesting that hope may not be lost for Undine and that they’ll help look for her.

Kumen – The Club
Asarar and the Tech Team return home, looking around at all of the trees, bushes and even grass growing up from the ground. The little water girl being a big hit with a few of the team, Ylva arriving after a bit to meet up with her rescued sister. Jan curious as to what is an actual tree.

Geyze – Hapian Castle
The entirety of Unit 6 returns to their guest quarters, fearful of what they may find; thankfully Neek, Leeik and Kito are alive and only requiring a slight bit of healing. Rain having arrived is walking the hallways that at one time would have been painful for her.

Hapian – Unknown Location
A crack appears in the ground, a thin spirit-like female hand bursting upward and clawing to maintain its hold. This hand, much unlike the Death Spirits, is dark slate colored flesh with a hint of darker tattoo’s.
